This quickly became our go-to lunch spot during our stay in Anguilla. Located on beautiful Mead's Bay, this Beach Shack is just perfection. The warm, crispy goat cheese salad on kale is amazing. We also loved the tacos, mahi bites, and rum punch (best on the island)! They have something for everyone at very affordable prices. You definitely need to check this spot out early on during your trip, you'll end up going everyday! My only wish is that they opened earlier than 12pm:)

If you only have one night in Anguilla or want to create a memorable experience, this is where you should go. Everything our table ordered was something like never before. The citrus chicken was the best I've ever tasted. The dessert of coconut ice cream was unbelievable. Everything was so delicious that we wanted more the following afternoon. It was just as good the second time! The setting, of course, can't be beat, and in this case, it only adds to the taste and experience.

Blanchard's Beach Shack on Mead's Bay offers an interesting menu. Sadly, A lot of my favorites including mussels have been removed over the years. I now gravitate toward shrimp bowls when I head down to enjoy a relaxed dining experience. The ordering process is easy, and the service is usually good. It's an ideal place for a friend date or a family day out. The shrimp bowls are bursting with flavor. With its beachfront location, “outdoorsy” dining layout and satisfying meals, Blanchard's Beach Shack is a popular spot in Anguilla.

This is a MUST if you are visiting Anguilla! First off, loved learning about the history of the restaurant, how much they invest in their staff’s development and local community, and then how serious they are about their wine list! The food is also amazing…pictured here is the crab cakes, potato bravas, pork shank and then their famous “Cracked Coconut” dessert! It was all very well done. Great to meet the owner and chef Mrs. Blanchard who visited every table!

My husband and I ate at the restaurant last night and had a wonderful experience. We are here on our honeymoon and the restaurant made menus with our names on them and welcomed us with a glass of champagne…both were very nice touches. The restaurant is really beautiful and the setting was both elevated and relaxed…I don’t know that there’s a bad seat in the place. Our meal was fantastic from start to finish. We started with the calamari + poke tacos and then I had the grouper while my husband had the chicken. We finished with the carrot cake (our favorite flavor & wedding cake) and it was delicious! The staff was really fantastic and this is definitely one of our favorite & most memorable dining experiences of our honeymoon. We have also had lunch at the beach shack and those meals have been great as well.

Really one of the best restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of eating at. The staff were wonderful and the food was superb. I made reservations to go back on another night. Don’t miss it!! The cracked coconut dessert was extraordinary and the drinks were well prepared.

We ate at the beach shack one night with our feet in the sand and the waves crashing, it was almost magical. Reasonable prices and very good food. A few nights later we got reservations for the red and it was white tablecloth service with a wider selection of items, everything was very good. They offer over 200 runs if you want to explore….

Blanchards 30 years of A Trip To The Beach, an Anguillian institution. Dinner restaurant: Exceptional rum and wine list, great garden setting. Incredibly attentive, coordinated staff and fast service on a very busy night. Brussels "Caesar" was intriguing and well executed - getting the right crispness while still being cooked cannot be easy. Toast slice bits present and crunchy fresh without slicing your mouth open or lacking crunch. Garlic and anchovy could have been a bit more aggressive, but I understand that may not go over so well with the hoards of stinking rich beautiful people that fill this islands nicer establishments. Lemon panko crusted grilled shrimp a good conceiving of flavor combination... Frying would be a bit too heavy. Grilling a bread crust is another willfully chosen technical hurdle - not just for crumb integrity but for cooking shrimp without drying them out. Very creamy (cream?) polenta, however, was sadly missing a visit from salt Santa. Ginger-garlic sea bass and bok choy a great combo, though I personally would like to see a thicker filet. Sweet corn puree an inspired accompaniment that I desperately would have traded the erroneous cheese roasted potatoes to have more of. Cracked coconut signature dessert had a perfectly formulated ganache shell... Crisp upon arrival, but quickly softening. Bailey's "coco water," coconut sorbet, and toasted flake exterior perfectly in theme, and the garnish of tembleque was my first experience of same, thank you! $20/glass for basic but well chosen wines. Basil lemonade mojito derivative was tasty but disappeared way too fast. $$$$ but would try more. Beach Shack: busy and Anguilla timed. Tiny vodka lemonade and mango colada both have absolutely ZERO alcohol in them. None (yes, we did say with alcohol). Mahi BLT is an incredibly tasty blend of flavors in a simple beach sandwich on a small hamburger bun (very small piece of fish). Caesar salad was acceptable... No faults, but nothing at all special. $5 beach chairs but they go quick and are taken all day.

Great place to spend the afternoon. Healthy food that was surprisingly really good, with a large menu. The jerk chicken sandwich was simple but incredibly flavorful. Drinks were great and the vibes were top notch, all right next to a massive white sand beach. Would certainly come back.

In 2017 my husband took me to Anguilla for 3 weeks in March for my 60th birthday. It came on the heels of a very heartbreaking 2016, the year I lost my only child, my daughter as well as my Mom. This was a much needed getaway to just relax, which is why we chose Anguilla. It’s a lovely island. Very pricey for tourists but tourism is what keeps the island going. The beaches are the best I’ve seen, out of many. The clearest blue water! Pristine beaches. For my birthday dinner which was 3 days after arriving we went to Blanchards. Right on the beach. From the outside you’d think, not much to speak of. But once inside and are eating…..oh my heavens. The food was absolutely delicious!! I had sea bass, my husband had grouper. A wonderful coconut ice cream in a coconut shell for dessert was amazing. I loved Anguila. We took the boat to St. Martin twice for day tripping…..did not care for it.

Service was amazing! The staff was very friendly, attentive and had excellent recommendations. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We started with the mussels, ricotta dip and shrimp skewers and then shared the sampler which came with jerk chicken, sea bass and crayfish along with rice and beans.

Best meal on the island so far. We went to the Beach Shack and it was very fresh and all well done. Even the ice cream which to quote my wife was the best vanilla shake she's ever had and we do lots of ice cream 🍦

Didn’t even make it back to our room before posting this. What a great atmosphere, experience and menu. The fish, the chicken, the veggies, all delicious. And the service…the best we’ve experienced in a restaurant. Honeymooners beware, you’ll never get treated this well again.

The restaurant was probably our best meal on island and we stuck mainly to smaller plates. Custom printed an anniversary menu - nice touch. Extensive rum and wine selection. Also ate twice at Beach Shack and everything was delicious, fairly priced and good portions. Would highly recommend as a must visit!!

Blanchards: Food and service was amazing here, highly recommend. Although we think the server misunderstood our order for a side and gave us the whole portion, the Crayfish definitely was worth it anyway and the jerk shrimp was the absolute highlight! They were very accommodating for allergies, nice open air space and even went to the trouble of getting me gluten free bread from the beach shack next door for dipping! My boyfriend had the Carrot cake which was delicious and the almond flour layer pudding was rich with chocolate and gluten free, though I have to admit I sort of wish I had tried the signature coconut instead! Great place, highly recommend! Beach Shack: This was a great spot for a snack and I was able to get a sandwich gluten free! The mahi mahi bites cilantro lime scallion sauce was the HIGHLIGHT! So good. Nice to sit on the beach, a casual spot. Nothing overly incredible food wise aside from that sauce that we had, but a nice fairly cheap lunch with good options and a chill vibe by the water!

Loved Blanchards Beach Shack. We had countless tacos, rum drinks, and whatever was our fancy during our week long trip. Bought their book. Visited their other restaurant. Came back on another trip and of course had to visit Blanchards. Bought my niece the cookbook and she bought their other book too. We're fans! 😊

Came here for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation so we ended up on the outdoor patio. Our server was quite friendly and engaging. I ordered a rum flight which was a good price and generous servings. To start we had the whipped ricotta. For entrees, the sea bass, pork shank, and the dates and green beans. All the food was pretty tasty. My fish was a bit overcooked but had good flavor. For dessert we shared the bread pudding and carrot cake. Overall a good meal!

The food here is canteen level. Sorry. The infantile stories with employees sent to an amusement park are cringe and meant to squeeze love where the level of food fails. Do not overcook the delicate meat of the fish until there is no texture nor flavour left. The only tasty edible dishes are the beans-crunchy, fresh, tasty sauce, and the coconut desert. Outrageously pricey for nothing. The raw fish is badly cut and too warm, only the pickled onion was flavoursome. The curry has a moist overcooked rice and overcooked vegetables. That is because who ever is in the kitchen has no clue about cooking. Each component has its own thermal cooking time and they just put everything together and just take it out when they remember. The rum collection does not compensate for bland ripp off priced food

We returned here for a 10th anniversary and it was beyond delicious. As seen from the photo we got a personalized menu for our anniversary, which was a really nice touch. The only disappointment was that we didn’t have time to make it to the Blanchard at beach shack for lunch.

A very nice place to relax by the beach. The restaurant is open and needs to be booked in advance during weekends. The food is ok, although you go there for the beach view or for the live music, not so much for the food quality.

Visited the shack, a wonderfully serene and laid-back spot situated right on the sandy beach. The abundance of seating options and the diverse menu caught my attention, and what delighted me further was the affordability of the dishes. Although the portion sizes were slightly smaller than usual, they turned out to be surprisingly filling. Walking towards the beach chairs, one can enjoy the charming view of the restaurant, which exudes a cozy ambiance, especially when the night sets in and the enchanting lights illuminate both the shack and the beach area. The entrance is equally captivating, adorned with overhead string lights and lush greenery on either side. As for the food, I tried the shrimp bowl, which unfortunately fell short of expectations. It lacked sufficient beans, and the combination of onions and dressing on top didn't quite complement the dish. On the other hand, the pulled chicken dish was a better choice and left a positive impression. Additionally, the burgers and chicken tenders were particularly delightful, proving to be a highlight of the dining experience

Best tacos and burgers will be found here! And fish bites are also amazing. We loved coming here almost daily to hangout at the beach, rent chairs and enjoy the food and drinks here. I even stopped by for my last burger 2 hours before we flew out. Burgers are that good! You won’t be disappointed with Blanchards.

The beach shack is like an Anguilla institution for us. You cannot beat the price and quality ratio here. We have tried so many different things and they are all tasty. All the workers are also super friendly! We try to go as much as possible, a must!

Food tastes pretty good, but the reason it's cheaper than the rest of the island is portion size. It's also the most US chain-like restaurant we've been to on our stay. Beach chairs are only 5$ per chair so not terrible

Dining at Blanchard's is always perfect - from the staff to the ambiance to the food, a meal here is a must when visiting Anguilla. I had the Sesame-Crusted Sea Bass and my friend had the Crayfish - they were both DELICIOUS. The cocktails were very good, the dessert was amazing, and we liked everything so much, we came back for lunch the very next day! Thank you guys, see you next time!

Had dinner here the last night before they closed for the season. Caribbean sampler consisted of grilled crayfish, jerk chicken and sea bass Nicoise. Jerk chicken was excellent. My only complaint was the portions were not generous. Had lemon panko-crusted grilled shrimp which was very tasty. We had takeout the night before which was a blackened mahi blt. Again, it was tasty but portions were small.

The food in the restaurant was great. And if you are on a budget, their beach shack is good food at the lowest prices we saw on Meads Bay. We got happy hour drink for dirt cheap. Both places (the restaurant and beach shack) are next to each other and have tables with nice views of the bay.

Beach shack employee tried to cheat me by double billing me for a food item. When I questioned this, she said that nothing could be done to reverse the charge since the kitchen was already processing the order. I complained to the manager who prompted refunded my money. Make sure you check your receipts at this place! As for the restaurant, it is a shadow of its former self since the owners, Melinda and Bob Blanchard sold the place. It used to be a fine dining establishment complete with table clothes, candlelight and a skilled kitchen. Now just average in all respects....

For anguilla, not bad. The salads are what you might expect at a mid level quick salad place (think one level below panera bread). I'd recommend the jerk burger as that is solid (though the bread felt hard). Frozen drinks are where they shine - great break from the heat. Didn't love that one person asked for tip without telling me that 7%is already added (not cool) but one other server did tell me - so may its just a bad egg.

We stayed at a condo near this restaurant so we ended up eating here a few times during our stay. The food is tasty and the rum punch is sooooo good - especially if you get it during happy hour. The location is perfect and the prices are really great compared to some other places. Definitely recommend! My favorite thing on the menu was the fish tacos - the sauce that accompanies it was delicious!

We dined at Blanchards Beach Shack a few times and enjoyed lunch, happy hour, and take out options. The mahi tacos, mahi bites, big bowl (w/mahi), MBLT, and grilled cubano were a few of our favorite things to try, and the gelato was delicious. We also enjoyed the happy hour drinks and nachos. Perhaps it was the incredible view from our favorite beachside picnic table that distracted me from taking any photos of our food. The rewards plan is a nice touch. If you’re staying nearby, Blanchards Beach Shack is a must visit!

If you find yourself in Anguilla, make sure Blanchard’s Beach Shack is at the top of your list. The food is always on point, and I’ve been coming here for years with family because they NEVER disappoint. On my most recent visit, I got a Big Bowl with shrimp which was so fresh, so colorful, and bursting with flavor. It was the kind of meal that has you reaching for more even when you’re full. I paired it with a Mango Piña Colada, and let me tell you, it was like liquid sunshine. The view of the ocean only makes the whole experience better. So, if you’re in Anguilla, do yourself a favor and swing by Blanchard’s. You won’t be disappointed, trust me.

Great little day time hang on the beach. We’ve heard the dinner at the main restaurant is also great, but can’t go wrong with the beach shack. Fish tacos and the MBLT (Mahi BLT) is great. Their ice cream is good too if it doesn’t melt first…

We hosted our wedding welcome dinner at Blanchards Beach Shack. I had been planning the event remotely over the course of several months leading up to the event, and the event coordinator Denise made the entire planning process so simple and seamless. She made the food and beverage selection so easy and also coordinated with external vendors for our decor and other rentals which took a huge weight off my shoulders! The actual event was a huge success thanks to the entire wonderful Blanchards staff. The food was absolutely delicious, our guests were gushing over how yummy everything was, and they were easily able to accommodate an entire gluten free meal for my father. The ambiance was also perfect for our group to mingle, drink, dance and have fun the night before our wedding! I cannot recommend the Beach Shack enough, whether you are having an intimate event or large party. Blanchards as a whole is one of our favorite restaurants not only due to their outstanding food and ambiance but in large part due to the amazing and welcoming people at Blanchards who make it feel like a family!
