Frozen seafood anyone?? Well it seems a trend among the Batemans Bay restaurants to use frozen seafood?? Why? I shake my head in disbelief at how this club can charge upwards of $175 for this platter of soggy crab and watery seafood with zero taste. I mean come on chefs and management you have fresh seafood trawlers on your door step? Not to mention service is terrible and the club couldn't even get the plates clean? I just can't shake my head enough....shame shame

Spacious eating area and beautiful views of the water. The food was good and well portioned.

We were on our way to JJ'S sea food Batemans Bay closed due to power outage ,so happy went to Soldiers Club had a fabulous sea food platter including a lobster wow wow.

The most phenomenal place for a reception! The staff are amazing! (Penny, you are an absolute gem!). The whole team there made our wedding complete! The food is still being raved about! Not a single complaint!

Had dinner. Nice enough atmosphere. Schnitzel was advertised as panko crumbed but was regular crumb (minus 1 star for misleading menu). Sides were good, there was a good amount of broccolini, mash was fine, chips were decent, slaw was pretty good. Duck spring rolls were good. The garlic bread was so strange! A bread roll with butter on the side (minus 1 for bizarre interpretation of garlic bread).

Great place to eat with great views. Pleasant efficient service. Good variety on the menu. Great value & the food was hot, tasty & well presented. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely experience at the restaurant. We ordered the T-Bone and Seafood platter for 2. Amazing, staff were exceptional. It was quite busy but with such a beautiful view it was no problem for us to wait. Steak was delicious and buttery and the seafood platter was huge! Thanks to all the staff for a great dinner.

This Club has an excellent bistro. My husband and I had seafood dishes and they were both delicious. I had sesame honey prawns prepared in a wok and my husband had mussels. The portions are generous and good value for money. The staff are friendly, polite and willing to assist.

Great experience. Welcoming gentleman on the main desk and great bar staff. Possibly the best New York sirloin I have ever had pass through my tastebuds. All complimented with an amazing coleslaw (strange thing to be amazing I know). Highly recommend for an overwhelming pleasant experience.

Warm and friendly staff. Stunning architecture and view directly over the water. Meals were delicious but not all dietary requirements are catered for. Hard to fault. 5 stars.

Lovely club right on the harbour. Beautiful views. Visited 2 nights during our stay. Pasta and calamari were excellent, steak unfortunately overcooked. Would certainly visit again.

We didn’t make a reservation and they were full but they went out of their way and made room for 8 people. Lovely atmosphere. Food to die for. Would definitely come again !!

Amazing view from our window table, lovely staff, great food, yummy drinks and a big win at the Pokies - what more could you ask for?! The salmon and prawn salad was so fresh and the chicken snitzel with creamy garlic prawns was different (maybe better on steak) but still tasty.

Very kind and polite staffs… nice environment… I order lobster mornay, honestly it was just cheese in side of skin of lobster 🫤

This place is well managed. The staff is so friendly, the food is delicious, and the area is so comfortable for family dinners. I highly recommend it to anyone try it.

FANTASTIC FOOD!!!! Everything was amazing, best place we ate at in Bateman's Bay! Portions are VERY generous, food was favourable & fresh! Such an amazing night filled with deliciousness!

This RSL club is very popular. In particular the bistro is very popular each night. The bistro opens at 5:30pm, not at 5pm as advertised on the club’s website. On the night we attended, the line up for the bistro was very long from about 6:15pm. Another tip - the best seats in the dining area are reserved for people who make earlier appointments. Most of the reserved seating was located near the window area that overlooks the bay - the non-reserved seating was away from the windows. The rest of the club is excellent. The bar area is big. In fact, the bar is also big. Staff are friendly. There is plenty of parking available at the rear of the club. Membership to this club doesn’t grant customers discounts on food or drink.

Went here for dinner during a trip to Batemans Bay. The food was great, the staff werevery friendly, and the view was pretty spectacular, would definitely recommend 😊

Super busy. Took an eternity to be seated, longer to have our order taken, then another eternity to receive the food. Staff understandably busy, 2 stars because they were pleasant. Lamb shank special sold out. I ended up with the roast special. Can only describe it like this…. If you asked someone who never cooks proper meals to make a ‘roast dinner’ .. this is what was served. Flavourless, unprofessional presentation. My friend ate from the Chinese menu and said it tasted like it was left over from the 1980’s… however his garlic pizza was ‘ok’ Won’t be back.

We were 2 hungry travellers making our way down from Qld. I was so pleased we stopped here for dinner. It is an amazing club. It’s huge! My husband ordered the steak & ribs special ($29) with chips (super hot) & mushroom gravy. He said it was the best steak he has had in a very long time. I ordered the salmon fillet with an eggplant melanzane tart & asparagus spears. It was absolutely delicious 🤤. I thoroughly recommend this venue. The staff were friendly & helpful as well. To top it all off… under the building, in the car park were a group of Scottish (I think) musicians playing. I loved that! Thank you for making my evening even better!

We dined at the RSL club while we were holidaying at Batemans Bay in mid April. The club was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and most importantly the food was delicious and very well presented. We ordered the seafood platter for one and the lobster mornay, one day , and then the steak sandwich and salt and pepper prawn salad and broccolini side, the following. All dishes were made using fresh produce and were very flavoursome! We will be back!

Awesome Club With a View!! Huge club, everything that opens & shuts, huge car park (need a bus to get you in) super friendly staff, cheaper bar prices and the Bistro is excellent- superb tasting works of art!! And not much waiting either. Check out the Scallops and Salmon I had!!

We always come the soldiers club when we come to the coast. But were disappointed in tonight's visit due to the longer wait times for food, with the lack of seasoning on the food, and the pretty ordinary green garden salad that came with our food (previously there was a tasty slaw). I was also looking fwd to the salt and pepper calamari and Asian salad but it was no longer on the menu due to a change in catering staff - a real shame as this was an excellent dish. The restaurant overall seemed quieter, but it still took ages to get food.

If you want to enjoy fine dining and views of the water, its definitely a great spot. Staff are friendly and courteous. Welcoming atmosphere

Visitors from Victoria and given a warm welcome. Huge dining area, cheerful staff, bright and clean. Good menu selection, warned there may be a wait with our order which we understood but the wait time was less than 15 minutes for 2 steak dishes. Well done to the catering team.
