The place is so cool and ambience is just amazing. We ordered the fish of the day and salad. Both the dishes were top notch in terms of taste quality and freshness. Kudos to the entire staff for their kindness in service. A must visit for all fish lovers. Many options for kids too.

Very friendly staff, however, took quite a while for the food to come out even though it wasnt busy. Food was not worth the wait. The pasta had no flavour and paid an extra $6 for 3 or 4 prawns. The pork belly was barely ok, the skin was weirdly a bit crispy but very chewy and a struggle to eat. Very disappointing.

Very nice food and excellent service. It's a little pricey for what you get, but it's right on the water, so you're probably paying for the view.

We scored an amazing private table with a great view for our brunch. Service was quick with our order being taken promptly (& water provided without asking). Lovely, friendly staff. The OJ and iced mocha were great. My fiance had the coastal breakie and enjoyed it (although too much bacon & the poached eggs could have been slightly less overcooked) and my vego breakie was yum (with Haloumi being cooked perfectly). The serves were large and the bread was actually soft enough to cut! But the upstairs toilets with dead flies, broken soap holder and taps that barely ran bought down the standard of an otherwise great venue.

I would say it's ok, but it's not really what you'd expect for the price. The food did come out really quick, as another reviewer noted - so I suspect it was at least partially pre-cooked. But it wasn't overcooked or dry. The staff were courteous and helpful.

Nice spot for a bite to eat or a drink. Food was pretty tasty but came out literally a minute after we ordered so I have to question how fresh our food was. Really nice staff

Dined here on a Sunday. Had braised beef cheeks amongst other things. The polenta that came with it was OLD. Crusty and more of an undercooked potato texture than polenta. Beef cheeks were over salted. The rest of the food was on the “meh” side. Such a confusing place with an odd menu. We walked past it many times and should have kept walking this time as well. Not coming back

I went in on Saturday night to pick up a takeaway order. I was served by 2 lovely girls. They were so polite and nice to speak with. Thank you girls you made me very happy afterwards. Also the pizza was delicious definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed this place. The location was great, the service was lovely, the prices during happy hour is worth the visit! If I'm in the area again, I'll happily visit again!

The service was great. Bit expensive and the meals were a bit too big. One meal is big enough for two people. Lovely view of the bay. Very nice.

After a long day, hoping around the city and beaches, we were somewhat hungry before heading to Sydney. So we picked Starfish and seated outside where you can enjoy the batemans Bay Marina's view. Our host was so nice welcoming .we ordered seafood salad , beer battered fish and chips , salt and pepper squid, Nasi Goreng amazing foods were good .

Top notch restaurant with magnificent water front atmosphere. The food looks yummy and tastes great. The services are at exceptional level. They even post out lost property to our Sydney address upon request free of charge! A must visit restaurant if driving by Batesman Bay.

Food was very good although a couple of dishes we got were quite spicy despite requesting minimal spice. Seating was decent and a lovely view next to the water. A good menu choice and not a long wait for food. We parked at a nearby shopping centre and walked over. Staff were friendly and approachable. A bit more on the pricer side but expected at a tourist place with a view. Menu catered for different diets as well. Would come here again.

Great food and fast service! It’s a very simple menu but everything was beautiful! They’re not big meals but reasonable serving size. The beef ribs and chicken wrapped in prosciutto were Devine.

The waiters/waitresses were all so kind and provided us with all the neccesities like water, napkins, cutlery so we didn't need to ask for more. The food was delicious! The kids meals were also filling and they even offered to give crayons to colour in the menus drawing, definitely great for younger kids too! It was all reasonably priced unlike some other stores out there, which was great. Starfish was also nice and quiet as well as a beautiful view! 5/5

This cafe is popular. It’s charges are reasonable- they charge Sydney prices. The cafe is located alongside the Clyde River. The views are great. The food is good. The staff are friendly. I ordered eggs for breakfast, but wasn’t supplied with salt and pepper for the meal. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There’s a bike parking facility next to the outdoor eating area. The bus stop is nearby. There’s on-street parking outside the cafe - although this whole area is very popular, and it might be hard to get a good parking spot nearby.

Had dinner here recently and the meal was superb- highly recommend the slow cooked beef short rib. Pizza was good too

New ownership I'm guessing since the menus updated and the sword isn't a circle or tough, its structured and well put, plus the taste is great I have a photo to.

Everywhere was flat out last night - which is fantastic- but I didn’t have a booking and I had my little dog with me. I was lucky enough to get a table and had the most delicious prawn and pork belly salad and a glass of wine. The lady at the reception desk was so friendly and accommodating to everyone. A credit to herself and Starfish Deli (this was at about 7pm).

Very enjoyable lunch, great service, excellent food pleasant atmosphere. I had the Sticky pork and fried prawn salad, which is pork belly served with green salad, rice noodles and Thai dressing. Full of flavour and very satisfying. I was severed by Jemima. Service was on point, coffee and meal came out quickly and Jemima was attentive without hovering. All in all a very pleasant lunch at Avery reasonable price. Even the seagulls were well behaved.

Great! Great service, food, and views. I don't love the prawn shell left on when cooked but I get that some people do. Removing them would have made it better for me in the salt and pepper seafood salad.
