Literally the BEST piece of fish I’ve had in a very long time! We ordered 2 pieces of battered flake, a medium chips and some calamari to share for 3 people (around $39AUD total). We sat on the back deck looking at the pelicans and few sting ray joined us too! Can hugely recommend

A little quaint shed in the middle of Batesman Bay, yet serves nothing but the BEST seafood i’ve eaten in Australia at a super affordable price! Generally, the batter here is really better than most stores! Personally, I have a little bit of allergy to seafood but the seafood here is worth the allergic reactions! Fish was fresh, Calamari broke immediately when you bite into it, with that fresh taste! The Prawns then blew me away, with each prawn juicier and sweeter than the next! DEFINITELY A MUST COME!

Fish and chips , with boat cruise - what a fantastic idea. Nice fresh fish and chips when i say fresh I mean tasted like it was pulled from the ocean early morning fresh. Really nice well done.

The boat mashed is both an amazing fish and ship shop but also an amazing boat tour. We went all the way down the river to a beautiful little town and back up. We stopped to watch a traditional catholic ritual. We got a detailed history of the area while also having amazing views. A must see in Batemans Bay.

Decent enough fish and chips. Prices a bit on the high side for the portion sizes. Fish was a bit over fried. Also could use a better quality oil rather than frying Oleo/Oleomargarine when charging such prices. The setting along the water is nice.

It is always a pleasure going to the Boatshed for lunch. The freshest fish (personal favourite is the Blue Grenadier) the batter is sooo good and all cooked right before your eyes . Don't know why anyone would not like it.

What a great place, service was quick and easy. Food served was plated beautifully the portion size were great. The seafood served was so fresh and tasty, really enjoyed the food. They had heaps of seating inside and out, great experience to eat some amazing fish and chips next to the water. It an experience you can't beat. Boat shed become my favourite go to place for fish and chip, Yum

Great food and lovely staff. Location is amazing and you can enjoy the food within a great view. River cruise takes off from the dock nearby. The cruise captain and operator are very helpful and polite. I had a great experience.

A restaurant with a long history (50 years and counting) and it serves very decent fish and chips at a reasonable price ($17 comes with fish of the day + chips + salad + tea/coffee). Have your seat at the back of the restaurant, where you can enjoy a good sea view.

The battered snapper I had was up there with some of the best freshest fish I’ve eaten a fish and chip shop. I like that you can add your own chicken salt to the chips /potato scallops as well

Doesn’t get any fresher than this. Straight off the boat - literally!! The Ling fish was so sweet. Batter is light and perfectly crisp. Oh and those chips. Best fish n chips on the south coast by far!!!

Nice fish and chips . Bit pricey, but in line with the other places. $18 for one piece and 1/2 salad and 1/2 chips, $12 for another piece. Steamed fish was nice No grilled fish ( not an issue though)

Popped in to grab some fresh snapper and were greeted by two very friendly blokes who happily helped us select our dinner options and gave us tips to cook them as we were inexperienced cooking whole fish. They can fillet the fish for you or just descale/remove the head; we asked for them to be descaled and it took about 5 mins. Overall great service, would highly recommend.

We come here every time we go to the coast. The fish and chips are really good and fresh. Staff are friendly. Service is SO fast. Atmosphere is spectacular, you can eat on the back deck over looking the water with pelicans and very large rays swimming past often!

A very nice spot to go for a casual lunch at the bay. Lots of pelicans around there and we also saw a stingray swim by. The fish was fresh and nice, the hot chips was very nice: crispy outside, soft inside with the option of salt or chicken salt. The prawns were delicious.

By far some of the best fish and calamari ive ever had, so fresh and clean tasting. No fishy or frozen taste what so ever, our family will be thinking about this meal for months to come!

Nice bit of battered grenadier, some calamari rings and a Greek salad. Chips were the highlight though, nothing like the soggy chips you typically get at a f&c shop. Staff seemed a bit weary although it was the end of school hols and quiet now until September.

It was almost closing time but they still served us with a great Fish and Chips to take away. Place looks great inside.

Sooo good! How good is it to order fresh seafood from somewhere that has it's own jetty, trawler and stacks of tubs having just caught today's catch! It doesn't get any better. The fish was to die for, so fresh and delicious, but the chips and potato cakes (potato scallops) were excellent too. The oysters were the freshest we have ever eaten, and probably the cheapest too. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Delicious and fresh. Batter was crispy, well seasoned and a delight to eat by the sea. Can't wait to go back and eat more beautiful fresh prawns and oysters. Plenty of nearby places to sit, long line but place is well staffed and so it moves quickly. Order was ready within 10 minutes.

Havent been here in 5 years, returned today for lunch and still amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing, fish was so light and moist, the batter flakey and the chips where the best we have had in a while. Dont change anything guys doing a fantastic job.

Very popular place. We had ling and potato cakes cooked to perfection. Nice seating area with beautiful views over the water. Easy parking close by. Probably a bit too busy for us and we felt rushed becaue of that. Would have preferred to relax in a pub and enjoy our fish and chips with a couple of ales as Innes is not licenced.

Good quality fish and chips in the Batemans Bay area. It’s a default stop for us every time we’re down here on a road trip. Have lunch on the deck or takeaway and sit by the water.

We had fish and chips on the boat. Fish was really nice. Captain was Billy Jean..they were nice and friendly and helped us with pram... It was our sons 3rd birthday and they gifted him a 24 pack of mini cup cakes. They mustve rushed to woolies to buy for him in the half hour we wait to set off on boat as we were early. Excellent customer service. Nice day to spend with family on boat. We stopped at nelligen

I give them 2 out of 5 because they sell a food totally not deserve the price. We got family pack and a salad and calamari ring. The calamari ring was overcook and chewy. The big fish pieces were really overcook and dry. I asked to switch chips to something else (salad) and they refused. The chips were $10 and too much which we definitely didn’t need. The only good thing was small pieces fish and salad. All in all, not happy and don’t recommend it to anyone.
