Not impressed. Bathroom is small, no exhaust fan, blocked basin, leaking shower (doors don’t open or close properly). Lack of hot water in shower. Smoke detector covered up. No toaster wine glasses or microwave. Pool was padlocked shut even though filter was going. Sliding door to outside doesn’t open fully gets stuck. Blanket was old and dirty which made us wonder about the linen. Booked for 2 nights only stayed for 1 night so not happy with the room. Felt like pests not guests when we complained.

Was greeted with 'oh great I don't have to call you' on arrival as it was 6.30pm. Sign at reception says 'reception open 11am - 7pm. Completely run down rooms. Rooms were old, could hear a baby screaming from across the hall and anyone walking past my door. This is due to paper thin walls and door not fitting correctly leaving a gap. No utensils, only kettle and cup. Bathroom was clean and tidy. Bed and pillows were old and flat. Only some rooms have views, the rest overlook the hotel roof, airconditioners and satellite dishes or had windows with no fly screens. Staff weren't friendly, not even accommodating when asking a question cause they were too busy. I wouldn't give this a single star rating. I was there for work and a local asked where I was staying and I said the worst hotel and they said 'the Mariners' . Even the locals know it's astrocious.

The room was neat and the bed comfortable right next to the pool area (no good in June) and a view to the Clyde? river. Free soft drinks and bottled water on arrival however we couldn't get the air-conditioning heater going. In the small bathroom, the shower recess was quite small and the toilet cubical cramped. The staff were very good and friendly from the greeting at nearly 7 pm to quickly bringing a portable electric fan heater and getting the A/C working at about 40%. We had dinner in their bistro where the staff and service were good but the food was mediocre at best but charged restaurant prices. My wife and I both lost our appetites and got take away trays but the food was eventually fed to the dog at home. They only serve breakfast on weekends and we were there on a Tuesday. We probably wouldn't have had breakfast in their bistro anyway after that dinner but we found a reasonably good breakfast Cafe next-door. In a nutshell, it was a good bed overnight at short notice on an unplanned trip. It may have been a better experience in peak season summer, who knows. 🤔😕

We had a lovely stay here for one night. The location is great and the view is amazing. Just a note that the sound proofing is not great so we could hear guests walking up and down the stairs the entire night and also heard our neighbor checking out at 4am, opening and closing doors. Other than the noice everything is great.

A fantastic place to stay. Travelling with family for a swimming competition. Beds were very comfy, tea and coffee available, bar fridge, TV, air-conditioning and balcony overlooking the water. Gorgeous! Went downstairs to the bar for drinks and snacks and then a short walk to a restaurant for dinner. An excellent experience and we've booked in again. Definitely stay here!

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and always smiling. The hotel club was busy which was a good sign, nice staff there also, the food was ok but took a very long time (it was very busy so understandable). The location is nice however we did not expect to look out of our room onto other rooms. The way the buildings are angled, half of the view is of other people looking out at you also and half of the view is the water. Overall, a good experience.

Checked in and went to room. The lady in the next room was on the phone. The wall was that thin, not only could I hear her conversation, I could hear what her friend on the other end was saying. Five minutes later, I went back to reception to see if any other rooms were available that might be quieter. I was told that there were other rooms available, but she would have to charge me extra to move me! I found this request extreme. I hadn’t even unzipped my bags but was going to be charged to move. All I can say is that I’ve never experienced that, anywhere else, ever! Slept with the tv on to give background noise in the room, rather than anything external. First and last time.

Not a bad little rest stop: well situated and friendly, the beds were a bit dodgy: the doubles too hard, the singles too soft, and the pillows are the type that seal your ear and threaten to suck your eardrum out, while making rustling noises with every breath, not my favourite. But the rooms were clean and affordable and location is great for those who are lucky enough for a longer stay. Negative points for the noisy forklift working away from the early hours - beep, beep, beep, beep - no chance of sleeping in through that lot!

The hotel is in a great location which provides direct access to the lake footpath and the street of cafes/takeaway options in Batemans Bay. The rooms were clean and staff were really lovely to deal with. We also received complimentary drinks in our room upon arrival.

The staff were amazing, I felt welcomed & warmth from the staff the moment I stepped inside. Anything I needed to help with my medical condition, they went the extra mile to make sure I was accommodated. The receptionist was amazing, had great recommendations for food spots & places to visit & always greeted us with a warm smile & questions about our day. Added a beautiful personal touch to our experience. The room was immaculate when we walked, the spa bath on our balcony was easy to use, the bathroom was squeaky clean, had an air conditioner that worked well, our balcony had beautiful ocean views & a beautiful view of the outside seating area. Honestly, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Definitely going to book again for our next trip to the Bay.

Paid $210.00 per night......superior room with water view. Worst hotel ever been to. Outdated rooms, every door squeaked, paper thin walls, booked room for two people only three pillows not 4, only 1 set of towels. Included toiletries consisted of 4 shampoo, no conditioner, no extra toilet paper. Sliding fly screen door fell off. Television as big as a computer screen. The bed is on rollers and the springs of the bed stuck into you all night. Suffice to say no sleep. Only entry to rooms via two staircases per floor. Paid for two nights could not stay for a second. No one to complain to as reception does not open until 11am.

The room is great and the beds are perfect in my opinion, the only real issue is the bathroom and little kitchenette, the bathroom has no shelf of storage area so it’s quite hard to put out your things, the shower is quite poor for me, although I did like that they supplies several toiletries, the kitchenette had a good sized kettle but only one teaspoon and for 3 people 🤔. The mini fridge was great and came with 2 milk boxes.

We had a meal in the bistro tonight, menu was extremely limited, we both chose the grilled snapper only to be told there was none so we chose 2 other meals instead. What a waste of money, it was terrible, we definitely won't be back. '0' stars from us, but had to give 1 to be able to post this review!!

We booked a room for just 1 night and we didn’t even stay for it. I’m amazed this property is still standing considering the state of it. The cracks throughout the building are HUGE and the concrete surfaces are extremely uneven, we were on the 3rd floor and could see through the concrete slabs to the 2nd floor. I understand cracks and uneven surfaces are completely normal for older buildings but this was next level! The door way in the room we were given looked as though it was rotting away, the fly wire on the bathroom window had broken off therefore letting all bugs in, the sliding doors hardly slid open and the smell when we walked in was enough for us to turn around. I booked based on good reviews that I had read and was shocked upon arrival that people seemed to think this is a “clean” property. This property was extremely rundown and not well looked after. I would not recommend staying here unless the only thing you are after is location. We had a much more pleasant experience at Bateman’s Bay Lodge, where we ended up staying for the night.

Just ok.... One of the towels is dirty and the sink is not very clean, it has hairs in it . Cheap soap, cheap shampoo. The shower door can't be fully closed. Room is ok. The bed is a bit small. Reception closes early at night. The bar closed when I visited here. They say it will reopen again two days later which is a pity. Otherwise it would be nice to sit on the deck and have some drinks . I probably won't choose here if I knew the bistro closed . Next time if I visit here ,I would like to try another hotel. But it's near the water which is ok. To be honest, just a motel with a water view location.

Rooms are a little dated but it's in a great location and the staff are friendly. Most importantly, they have biscuits with the tea and coffee, something most hotels have stopped doing. Also the complimentary drinks are a nice touch.

This is the worst hotel we have stayed at, I don’t know where to start.. furniture is old and worn out, no utensils, I felt like I didn’t want to touch anything.. should have left the minute we got here… the ultimate example of owners not spending a cent on upgrading their property… do yourself a favour and don’t waste your money staying here …. 00000000 stars

My partner and I came down for the new years. We were not expecting much however the hotel exceeded our expectations. Lovely staff, cleaning staff attentive, amazing view, lots of parking. I was worried that due to the bistro it may be loud at night but it was far from that. If you want a calm relaxed stay with minimal amount of noise I would 💯 recommend this place. I will be returning in the future :-)

Rooms run down, old and not very clean. Pillows like flat not comfortable , bathroom doesn’t have fan or window so it smells. Feel like don’t want to touch unless have too. Staff are friendly. Available carpark and close to shops, cafes

If you are about location then yes! Its a lovely hotel. Room was bit small and not having option to run AC less than 22° was inconvenient considering it was muggy. The bathroom was small but it was clean. Small note, Bistro doesnt serve breakfast during weekdays.

Came past Batesman Bay on the way home and stayed at this great place. Location is superb with ocean Views. Can fish of the jetty and even drop past the pub. Location is in the middle of town. Nice service and clean rooms and also onsite parking. Thanks Mariners on the Waterfront.

I booked a superior waterview room for $314. The view was the only good thing about this hotel. The room was clean but had a dreadful strong smell. I don't know what it was. The latch on the door was broken so I rang receiption. Oh. I forgot they close from 7pm to 11am. The verandah screen door may as well not have been there. I have never seen a shower like this one. I can't even describe it. I'm certainly not a big person and I struggled to use it. I thought it was no smoking rooms but there was definitely someone smoking on the verandah. Oh. That's right. Reception closed at 7 so I couldn't speak with anyone. I certainly wouldn't go back.

Quaint hotel with breathtaking evening views and fantastic customer service throughout. I organised a romantic gesture for my partner, who has moved to Sydney, NSW from QLD. I liaised with a customer service rep, who went and beyond with my request. The hotel is not the most modern hotel without a lift. Do not let that dampen the experience, as we were offered help with our bags. I paid $197.10 per night and stayed just for 2 nights. Getting to the hotel late, we were greeted by a very happy lady, who was pleased to see us. The room itself was small, but had all the basic needs for a cozy stay. The star of the show was the balcony, with the spa which overlooks the river. It was spectacular view and one of the most breathtaking views, I have ever seen. We was offered a late check out, but did not require it. Overall a fantastic stay. Thanks once again for a heartwarming stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in the deluxe room at Mariners on the Waterfront and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The standout feature of this room was undoubtedly the jacuzzi. It was not only spacious but also worked flawlessly, providing a truly relaxing and enjoyable soak. This feature alone made the stay memorable. Cleanliness was a strong point during my visit. The room was spotless, and the washroom was immaculate. It's evident that the housekeeping team takes their job seriously, and it greatly contributed to the overall comfort of the stay. However, one downside was the absence of a minibar, despite it being listed in the amenities. While not a deal-breaker, it was a slight disappointment. The room's lake view was breathtaking, but it could be enhanced further. I suggest replacing one of the walls with glass to fully capitalize on the picturesque scenery. This small adjustment would make a world of difference to the overall experience. Mariners on the Waterfront also offers a pub and kitchen, which is a convenient option for guests who prefer to dine on-site. The variety of offerings and the quality of the food were commendable. The staff at Mariners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and valued as a guest. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch to the stay.

Perfect, super amazing location, clean rooms, nice environment, supportive staff, little bit small issues like door locking, room phone was not working and no option for even light snacks to order in room until their kitchen starts fully. But overall , ignoring small issues this is a great option.

Definitely one of the best rooms I have stayed in. The outside spa on our private balcony was absolutely amazing with stunning water views. Room was so clean and comfortable and staff were lovely. 10/10 would definitely recommend for a nice relaxing stay with your partner or even with your kids with the beautiful pool with gorgeous beach views!

Good comfy bed, hot good shower and clean. Check-in staff were helpful. No view at all- rooms at the back of the building. Bathroom door wouldn't shut. Air-con was good for us in winter, but a notice on the back of the door said you'll get a dripping sound if you set below 22 degrees. Some smoke smell when windows open- above a hotel.

Great location! But rooms need renovation. Our room had a patched up ceiling and a bathroom style panel behind the television. The screen door was old and kept coming off it's track.

Absolutely brilliant location in the middle of the city and perfect waterfront location. Meals were good and service was excellent from friendly staff. Rooms are a bit small and decor is dated but the verandahs bring the rooms up in ratings.

Fabulous position and great views over the Clyde River. However the worst night sleep we have ever had. The mattress was old and felt the coils were going to pierce the mattress fabric. The sliding door to our balcony couldn't be locked and a flimsy hook secured it. Actually sliding doors were coming off their tracks. Not a secure feeling during the night. We did speak to reception on checking out however we were met with oh nobody else has complained and "that's the way it is" We will not be going back!!

Great value, comfortable rooms, clean, fridge, tea, coffee, biscuits, free soft drinks, parking, restaurant, friendly service, toiletries, bath towels and extra towels (pool). Ironing board & iron, air con, hair dryer... Located in town centre, easy walk to most shops and services. WiFi a bit slow, multi level, no lift.

Excellent service from Chrissy at the front desk! We arrived on the eve of Labour Day, 3 people with 3 bikes and she kindly and efficiently accommodated a safe place for us to park our bikes. Even arranged for our early check out and got up early to accommodate us leaving. The room was clean & comfortable. The location was also perfect for us, so close to restaurants, waterfront and the main bus stop. Highly recommended and please give Chrissy a raise!

My girlfriend and I stayed for the weekend, parked the car up Friday afternoon and didn’t drive anywhere again until Sunday. The room was spotless and beautifully kept, we had complimentary drinks on arrival, and the view was spectacular! Sunday when it was time to leave, unfortunately our car battery was flat. The housekeeping moved heaven and earth for us in getting us back on the road. They provided us cables and kindly shifted around their cars in the parking lot as our car battery was in a difficult spot. We can’t thank the housekeeping staff and staff enough for a wonderful weekend away.

Our favourite go-to place for lunch in Batemans Bay whenever we visit. We ordered a Chicken Parmigiana and a Chicken Schnitzel, and both our meals were absolutely delicious - and took very little time from ordering to delivery. The staff are beautifully friendly and the views of the mouth of the Clyde River exiting out to the Tasman Sea are glorious. Indoor or open air seating complete what is, for us, a great dining experience every single time 😃

Awesome location, great views and atmosphere. Room was clean and tidy even if it could use a freshen up. Food was awesome and staff are fantastic smiling and helpful as I have ever had the pleasure of having. We went as a group motorcycle ride and will definitely be back.

Great staff welcome you. But room not great. Leaking air con, upside down mat on the floor covering hole in carpet, comfortable bed, one lamp not working, shower screen doesn't close, end up with wet slippery floor, spa outside on deck, no toaster for breakfast. But great views overlooking the water.

Fantastic location, staff are all very friendly especially Helen that checked my husband and I in. Chrissy at the bar is a real customer service gem. The view is the best in the bay. Dinner was very nice. Thoroughly enjoyed our oysters 🦪 Room had a beautiful view, nice little balcony to take in the view. Bed was very comfortable. Will definitely be returning. Thank you to all
