Holmes lookout

Tourist attraction

๐Ÿ˜ Cool spot but hard to get up there on a rainy day. A bit of dirt road and our car got stuck on the last uphill section. Basic facilities and the lookout is surrounded by trees so you actually have to walk around to get a view of Bateman bay harbour and water. Not bad but I would be back there again. People often mention view, road, lookout, Batemans, good, dirt, picnic,

Nice lookout in a normal weather. Driving may be difficult on dirt roads to get there. Great view of the bay. Open area would be good for a picnic. It has some tables to enjoy food. No toilets. It leads to some trails towards Clyde river campground. All are dirt roads. Overall a good secluded area to enjoy.

To access this located youโ€™ll need to drive for a two kilometres along an unsealed road from the Kings Highway. The lookout is located inside the Clyde River National Park. The lookout has an excellent view that looks southeast over the Clyde River and Batemans Bay, all the way to the ocean. If youโ€™re driving here on a wet day youโ€™ll need to be prepared to tackle the mud that comes with driving on the unsealed road. There is parking for about 20 cars at the lookout. There are some tables and seats at the top. Thereโ€™s also a BBQ and one garbage bin.

Decent unsealed road up to the lookout and a great view over the township and out to the ocean. Plenty of bench tables for a picnic and a few open fire bbqโ€™s.

A good place to have a wide view of the Batemans bay. It's in the middle of the forest area and road to the lookout is a sandy one. Not far from the bay. It's a clamful and quiet place. I have a really good impression on this place.

Great location for a picnic on a cracker day. A bit cool during winter. Great view over the river and Batemans Bay.

Nice outlook over Batemans Bay, as pictured. A short gravel road to access was in good order.

A good spot to stop by and say a quick bye bye to Batemans Bay as we make our way back to the capital. A bit of a drive through some uneven road, but surely worth the view Nd there are a few benches to enjoy lunch too.

Awesome view.. neat new bridge.. would of preferred to see parkland at the end of Bridge instead of KFC n Woolies ..

A pretty lookout with some pleasant views. Worth a very quick stop if passing by, although there's not a huge amount to do here aside from a picnic bench.

Beautiful lookout over Batemans Bay. We also stopped for a quick geocache.

View is beautiful but walking tracks nearby are not the best the region has to offer. Power lines and rubbish around. Would spend time elsewhere

Woodfire BBQs and lots of seating. Great view and many trails leading off. Only 5 mins from road on good dirt track.

A very nice viewing point as you can see the whole of Batemans bay and it is beautiful. The only problem is all the dirt and rocks can easily get your car stuck.

Great place to take kids to be up close and sometimes hands on with beautiful animals. It can be a little pricey for what you pay for but you know the money goes to taking care of animals that are injured so cant complain. I would recommend they upgrade a few things like the train, kiosks and playground ... it needs it.

Beautiful spot for a picnic or just to enjoy the view. Easy access off Kings Highway. Dirt road but any car can drive it.

Nice lookout place. Gives a nice view over the bay and a nice area to rest at. Could even stay overnight if quiet. Some tracks from here worth exploring.
