Definitely enjoyed the food. Went with some clam chowder in a bowl and also tried the crab Mac and Cheese. Both were so good! The mac n cheese had this crispy layer on top, so good. And the chowder had a bit of vegetables 😋😋 Had some good service and i like the fact that it wasn't packed. Good location to enjoy the weather. The only problem is that I found a red hair on my clam chowder bread and I know it wasn't mine because I have black hair. Didn't want to complain or try getting free food cause i just dont do that!! Will give it another shot though and hopefully I raise the rating next time.

Great tourist attraction or spot for group to eat when in town. Great selection of on the table no fork food with fingers seafood. Most of their seafood boils come for meal for two so find a partner and get ready to get messy. Actually I had my cute adult bib on but somehow the waitress dumped the bucket of seafood on the table and my luck the lobster took a bad roll and knocked the hot butter cup all over my pants. She quickly got rag with club soda to help but at that point they were already soaked deep. Once you think you've ate all you can from what was in the bucket from rhe seafood, potatoes & corn, save room for dessert as they have great sharable size sweets.

Crab dip was good. Halibut fish as well. Seafood salad missed aome dressing to keep it all together, fish and chips was OK. The tap beer was not that good, I took the local one, dont remember the name The crab pot...... Service was good, overall atmosphere typical for beach restaurants.

Overall this experience was pretty decent. The staff was lovely, the atmosphere was nice. We had a lovely view of the docks, even from the inside. The main problem for me was the food itself. All the previous times I’ve been here the food has been great! But this past time I went I actually ended up getting sick from the food. I’m not sure if it just wasn’t cooked properly, but I also noticed it wasn’t really seasoned when it came out. I remembered it being nice and flavorful with a kick, but this night we went it was very bland and kind of cold. I’m hoping if I do visit again in the future I can report a better experience and update my review, but as of right now the money wasn’t worth it for the food.

Nice place for a good seafood boil. Lobster Mac was our favorite. Server was nice and attentive. Would come back again for the food and the view

This place was less than ok Food is generic and something you would get at a county fair. Not worth the price. We ordered Fish and Prawns and chips and came out unimpressed and not for $17. These were not made fresh. They’re frozen and thrown in the fryer upon orders. Worst fish/prawn chips I’ve had. Same with the calamari and cheese sticks. Don’t come here if you think you’re getting fresh seafood made.

The Crab Pot is a casual seafood restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. They are known for their all-you-can-eat crab boil, which is served on paper-covered tables. The food is fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located right on the marina, so you can enjoy the view of the boats and the water while you eat. The outdoor seating is especially nice on a warm day. The Crab Pot also has a variety of other cocktails available, including beers, wines, and margaritas. So, you're sure to find something to your liking.

We tried branching out from our go-to boiling crab. The view and vibe here are fantastic. The service was quick attentive and not overly in your face. The server was incredibly helpful when asked about menu items. The food, though, while good, just didn't hit that flavor level that the boiling crab hits for their shrimp. Their poke was good but not great. Overall, I think this place is a super safe option but not the best option.

Its a good place to eat and given the location, no doubt its prime area to eat. But the food was mediocre and not worth taking left over even if we had any left. The food tasted very bland and there was so much corn and potato, I felt a bit cheated in the amount of food that was given to us. Given how small my wife and I finished 2 servings... I doubt 2 serving will be enough for average people's stomach. Nevertheless, the service was great. Our thanks to Kayleigh(so many spelling variations these days I don't know the right spelling) for the great service and attention

This was my 1st time here but I would definitely be going back! The food was great and I loved how even though it was just aching seasoning the food didn't have that over powering sea salt taste that some places have. We got 2 of the big orders and that fed 5 of us. Definitely worth the money.

The service was excellent! I felt great and welcomed upon entering. However the food lacked luster. I ordered the seafood fettuccine and my date ordered the prawn shrimp skewer. I had to take my food home and add seasoning. We were greatly disappointed with the food... The drinks were great, definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant.Ultimately, The food is too pricey for the taste not to match.

We have been to this restaurant previously and had a really great time. This time (Saturday 6pm) we were disappointed. We waited double the estimated time to get seated, which is understandable considering the pandemic and staff shortages everywhere. While the food was still tasty, it also took 50+ minutes to get served. We were very very hungry. We kept seeing other tables get served even though they had been seated after us. Perhaps they lost our table's ticket in the kitchen? What really bothered me was that my meal was significantly under sized ( I had gotten this same entree before, the crab boil, so I know how much food to expect and to know I was shorted. ) After the amount of time we had already waited, plus the fact that is was past closing time and the staff was focused on cleaning up, all I wanted was to eat so my sister ended up sharing her fish with me. Bottom line is, food is great. Pricey but good. So I recommend others to go there early afternoon because quality of service seems to decline past 6pm

There were a ton of things I liked about this place. We arrived during the dinner rush on a Friday and only had to wait a few minutes for a table outside. It’s a great location on the harbor with lots of heaters when it gets cooler out. Our server was great, she was friendly and knowledgeable. The service was fast also, drinks and food came out pretty quickly. Unfortunately the food was just not good. We ordered the most expensive crab boil on the menu. Due to seafood shortages they had no King crab and no lobster on the menu whatsoever. They had a different kind of crab and it was complete rubber. You couldn’t even crack the shells, and whatever meat you got was cold and tasteless. The shrimps were okay but everything else was over cooked and flavorless. For the $50+ per person I expected more. I would probably return again but order something simple, burger or fish and chips. Not worth the extra splurge for subpar seafood.

The wife and I had lunch on Monday. It was a great experience overall. We were seated on the patio with a nice view of the marina. I could have hit a boat with a tossed roll. We enjoyed the Seafest. Half the fun was getting all messy while eating delicious seafood. Everything was tasty, and Heather, the server, was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back, and so should you.

Honestly had higher expectations. Overall it was good, just missed on a few things. App was crab cakes: good amount of crab, sauce was very good with it. Entree was scallops with veggies and potatoes: scallops were spot on (most important), but the veggies and potatoes were complete throwaways. Dessert was key lime cheesecake: AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. It was awful in every way.

I went here for my birthday. Crowded when I arrived, but wait time not too long. I had a really good time. The food was delicious. I ordered King crab and a couple of other things...too many to name. I liked everything! I definitely want to come back again. I sat outside next to the water. The view was beautiful. The servers were very attentive and awesome.

We went there for happy hour and it was really good. We started out with Mai Tai and the electric watermelon and they were both very sweet and could’ve used a little more alcohol. The kids all got strawberry lemonade which was very good. The food was pretty good with a few exceptions. We ordered coconut shrimp twice and the first one came out a little over cooked, but the second one was much better. It is served on a bed of coleslaw. Oysters were OK just not very flavorful or salty but the cocktail sauce and horseradish were delicious, I think they grate their own horseradish. The fries were awesome and at two dollars on the happy hour menu can’t be beat. The fried calamari was very tender and flavorful. Ahi and mussels were very good, the mussels are called steamed mussels on the menu but came in a bucket of juice, not that I didn’t like them, just thought that was odd. I should have ordered the loaf of sourdough to go with it. Kids liked the popcorn shrimp but I forgot to try them. A nice man told us they had the chocolate landslide and he loved it so much that on his way out he gave us $10 so we could try it, it was delicious and the six of us couldn’t finish it. It didn’t have chopped walnuts but half walnuts which I thought was a varsity move on their part. Our waitress Sidney was very nice. The ambiance on the deck was wonderful and the views amazing. One thing I’ve never seen before, you had to either order off the happy hour menu or order off the regular menu but you couldn’t do both. And they sat you in a different location depending on which menu you were ordering from. The men’s room was out of paper towels and toilet paper, although they left a roll of paper towels on the sink, but when you do that, they sit in the water that accumulates on the sink.

A must-dine waterfront seafood establishment! Every time I visit Seal Beach from LA , a visit to The Crab Pot is a must. During this particular visit, we had the pleasure of Caroline's attentive service. She greeted us with a warm smile and ensured our needs were met. The entire staff at this establishment exudes remarkable friendliness. Refreshingly cold beverages were served, a perfect complement to a sun-soaked day at the beach. The culinary offerings, as consistent as ever, exceeded expectations. My personal choice includes the 1lb King Crab and a 1/2lb of snow crab, accompanied by a side of corn. The crabs were both flavorful and perfectly fresh, leaving me with nothing but praise for their taste. And I cannot forget to mention the perfect views of the setting sun over the harbor!

We came during happy hour with family. One of the staff happily helped my mother and added another table. The staff and waitress were so accommodating. The food was top notch. My parents are recommending it to their friends too. We will certainly be back. We had the Pacific clambake and crab melt sandwich. We were going to go to San Pedro for seafood but this was great.

Went to The Crab Pot Restaurant for some sea food goodness. Our group ordered two steamed pots. Before our order arrived, they covered the table with paper and gave us bibs to cover ourselves before the carnage. It came out hot and fresh with a side of melted butter. The pots included steamed crab, shrimp, clams, mussels, sausage, potatoes and corn cobs. It was all sprinkled with their signature seasoning. Delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable on the beer menu. We recommend this establishment to all families.

Terrific patio and beautiful views of Los Alamitos Bay. Happy Hour is the best time to enjoy all aspects of this location
