First time here and it was alright. The servers were nice and friendly, I have no complaints about the staff. The macaroni with hot Cheetos and fried chicken was really good, the gumbo was okay, the drinks were alright, the prices are high (one piece of fried chicken $8). I had high hopes for the corn bread because of the picture on their website… it did not look, taste, or feel like corn bread. It was burnt and tasted like a dry coffee cake without the soft crumbs on top. Overall it was mediocre food for a high price, something much cheaper and tastier exists. Could I come here again? Possibly. Would I really want to? Not really.

Great place for brunch. Definitely busy and popular. They don't take reservations so the wait time was almost 40 minutes. Worth the wait. Food is always amazing and the tasty drinks!

What a find!!!! Looking for breakfast one morning while dropping off a student back at CSULB we found The Attic!!!! Omg!!!! A fresh kitchen in a quaint transformed home in downtown Long Beach!!!! I live in San Diego, but I would drive the 100 miles to eat there again!!! It is truly delicious and worth every dime!!!! When food is made fresh there is nothing like it!!!!! The vibe is so chill and every item ordered by my party of 4 was a home run!!!! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable since it was my first time and I wanted savory and something sweet my server was so helpful!!! Go to the Attic you will thank me for it!!!! You will thank them because they make your taste buds sing!!!!!!!!

Great food and service! My kids loved the mac and cheetos and I'm a fan of their porterhouse. Cocktails are great too! There's NOTHING that is bad there. You may need to park in the street as Long Beach is just tight but all worth it!

Service was great, although food was just ‘ok’. A little bit overpriced in my opinion. Creative menu, although I feel there’s a reliance on hype over tangible value or quality. If you’re looking to instagram some hot Cheetos Mac n cheese then this is the place for you. If you want a good dinning experience, I’d go elsewhere.

What an outstanding restaurant. Came here twice with my kids, 8 and 11. All the food was exceptional - tasty, creative and generously sized. Particular highlights for us were the poutine and the breakfast rice bowl. Friendly and professional service. Highly recommended.

The food here was really tasty. Came here during happy hour. Their St. Louis ribs were delicious. Also tried their lobster roll and it was the perfect texture. Their Mac & cheetos was also really good. Very creamy and crunchy. Overall, great experience!

Food was delicious and tasted fresh. Biscuits are a must try they were phenomenal and tasted just like southern biscuits. No trouble getting seating for Saturday brunch, only waited a few minutes. Parking is a disaster though, the parking lot is tiny and crowded, street parking is available but hard to find. Staff was really friendly but not as attentive as other restaurants. The seating areas are super cute since the restaurant is a converted house. Not too loud. Bathroom was clean and smelled nice. Overall it’s a great place for brunch, good food and drinks, no reservations needed, and friendly staff. Do not get the lobster roll though, it was way too wet and only tasted like green onion and chives.

Came here a few weeks ago, made a reservation online, got sat really quickly. The outside area was really nice, thankfully it wasn't the regular hot socal day, so it was enjoyable. The staff was really nice and welcoming! Over all the food was really good, the atmosphere was relaxing, not too busy, definitely good for brunch. They did forgot to put our bread order in but they got it to us on the house, as well as dessert, definitely a good team of servers.

Great outdoor dining. Food was very good. I wish veggie sandwich was bigger but otherwise portions were great. Good for groups. Many families with children. Service was very friendly but slow at times, probably bc there were so many people. We were told wait would be an hour but we got lucky and were seated within twenty min. Typical so cal brunch prices. We spent about $35/person after taxes and tip. I read they don't take reservations on weekends.

I love the Attic. I've been coming here for years. The servers are always happy and upbeat. I love the cozy vibe when sitting in the booths by the bar. I've never had an entrée that I didn't like. Their eggs Benedict and ricotta French toast is delicious. The menu changes throughout the day. My favorite from their intermission menu is the lobster roll. From the drink menu, I would recommend the Paloma. It's light, refreshing, and delicious.

Some of the best food in Long Beach! Really nice atmosphere too. We got the ricotta french toast, chicken and waffles, and fresh toast with jam. I'm looking forward to going back!

Food and atmosphere here was amazing! Their breakfast burrito was absolutelty excellent, although I did want some starchy....maybe potatoes or beans on the side. Drinks: Junglebird, GET IT!!! So good and part of the purchase goes to a good cause. Service: 10 stars!! Everyone seemed on it! Kylie, she was awesome. Super attentive, friendly, great sense of humor, and keep informing of dinner dishes and intermission.

I have been hearing about this restaurant for years and decided to give it a try. Came here with friends during happy hour which is from 4 to 6:30 pm and the drinks were reasonably priced. We also decided to stay and have dinner afterwards. My favorite dishes were Chicken Under the Brick (generous portion, serves 2 easily), Crispy Octopus and Short Rib Poutine. Service was a bit slow due to the crowds but our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Great Restaurant !! Highly recommend.

I recently visited The Attic in Long Beach and had a great experience. The burger I had was particularly delicious, and the small, cozy atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant. If there is no wait, I would definitely recommend checking it out, but be aware that it can be a bit pricey. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to The Attic and would certainly consider returning in the future. If you're in the area and looking for a tasty burger and a cozy ambiance, this is definitely worth checking out, provided there is no wait.

I'm from Sacramento and travel a lot. The Attic remains to be my favorite brunch spot in the state of California. Incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful staff along with a DELICIOUS and reasonably-priced menu. The alcoholic beverages are great as well, and I love the decor. This most recent trip I had the biscuits & gravy with a side of breakfast sausage. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the gravy was creamy & savory, and the biscuits were flavorful. The breakfast sausage was bursting with flavor and had a fresh "farm to fork" flavor to it. My friend got the avocado toast and he said it was the best he had ever had. I can't wait to come back!

Chicken and waffles ($18) - The chicken was moist inside but the waffles could have been crispier. Good sauce. Not a big portion. 12 layer chocolate devils cake ($14) - The cake was good and moist. The custard went well with it.

Can’t wait to come back for brunch. The gumbo was great, Mac and cheetos lived up to the hype. The burger was mediocre but not terrible. Very lively place with cool crowd.

Overall very good, but I was expecting more from a Michelin Guide restaraunt. The main course and desserts were excellent, but the appetizers and sides were not quite there. The Mac and Cheese needed sharp cheddar. The flavor of the ribs was muddled. The lobster roll needed less mayonnaise and more lobster. The lobster flavor was secondary, barely detectable. Tables were very dirty.

Interesting that it chooses a southern theme. The menu is all over the place. Not in a bad way but you have to close one eye if your going to say itys a southern place. Interesting with a neighborhood vibe. It's the kind of place where you know the bar and wait staff if you spend half a second paying attention. Worth a visit for sure.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. The employees are super kind! I tried the lobster roll but I was not very happy with it. I could not get over the flavor its overpowered by celery salt and mayo. My daughter tried the mac and cheetos but the flies overtook it. My kale salad was great, the fish and chips was good. Expresso Martini delicious and the biegnets were awesome. I was told there is a fly problem so it was annoying to keep fanning my food.

A fantastic neighborhood restaurant. Excellent food and adult beverages. The cornbread could be dessert! So delicious! I love hopping up to the patio bar for a casual meal and friendly conversation with the bartender and other neighbors.

First off, they have a dog menu and it has some nice basic things for your little fur babies. Second, our server was super nice and treated us well. Third, the food was unfortunately hit or miss. The fried green tomatoes? Delicious. The fried octopus? The most tender thing I have ever eaten in my life with a sweet and tart glaze and crunch...I just wish there wasn't so much going on with the flavor profile with the cilantro. This overabundance of potent flavors overshadowed the freshness of the food. I got the lobster roll and ended up sending it back because it tasted like onions and parsley...and nothing else. There were mostly small morsels of lobster and it felt mushy in the mouth. My friend got the white bean and leek tart and it was actually much better than the lobster roll. The flavors were good and it was balanced. Lastly, the dessert. I was SO disappointed! The beignets were like dense, sweet, sourdough balls and the fruit jam had a strong almost alcohol punch on first taste. The orange blossom flan was like a bitter whisper of orange blossom and the flan texture was too stiff in my opinion. My friend liked the flan, though, so not all was lost. Overall, I would come back and try some other stuff. I feel like maybe it was an off night and honestly because of how amazing the octopus was, I would even just go back for that.

Sunday Brunch at The Attic was long awaited. LOL. It took us 10 years to come here. We have passed by many times but always a wait so we, being so impatient, never made it here until now! Oh my, sad we waited so long for our visit, but glad we finally made it. There is something about a restaurant in a 1920's Craftsman bungalow that makes me smile. There is seating both inside and out. We were seated in the side area of the house and love it. It is super cozy. (Beware the steps when you are getting seated) We were lucky and did not really have to wait too long for our seats. They do want the entire party there prior to seating though. Parking can be a pain but The Attic is worth the pain. We shared: Arugula salad - with parmesan and vinaigrette Up Country Benedict - crispy anson mills grits cake and smoke pork croquette with shrimp. Hollandaise, mustard seed, perfectly poached eggs. served with market lettuces. Doughnut Beignets - there are 3. served with seasonal jam. Don't forget the coffee! Service was super friendly by Erick. Food came out fast too. And the food was still nice and hot. That is what we totally expected from an awesome restaurant. For sure we will be coming back for more. Need to try some of the other dishes.

Outstanding food, great service and a cool atmosphere. Had the biscuits, pimento cheese toast, fish n chips, gumbo, and lobster roll, ice cream cookie cake, and an autumn old fashioned. Seriously all of it was incredibly delicious. Highly recommend this place.

This place is 10/10, coming from a traveler! It left a great first impression of Long Beach vibes. The waiters are so sweet and helpful! and every plate we had (Cannelloni, Cauliflower, Gumbo and biscuits) were 10/10 as well. You won’t regret coming here!

The attic has an extremely shortened dinner menu which does consist of a few of their classics but not the best of their entire menu served during brunch. The chicken under a brick was dry and had a very tart flavor profile. It was beautifully plated and aromatic but not terribly delicious. Mac n hot cheetos are always a fave especially as this is one of Long Beach's first restaurants to introduce it. Kids fare was decent. The ribs were very delicious. I definitely prefer the brunch service to the dinner option but it's always clean and lovely environment brings us back.

It starts with the location, vibrant but not too loud. The decor was perfect for indoor or outdoor seating. Then the food; everything is made from scratch, delicious and filling. I got the ricotta French toast with a side of chicken, although the chicken could've been seasoned more, the food was great overall. Lastly, the service was great, can't remember our server's name, but she was helpful and friendly, would recommend!

I was looking for a place to meet a friend for dinner. This place was recommended by a couple of locals who love their food. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The staff were super helpful. They confirmed with the chef of menu items were gluten free. They also created a mock tail drink based on a flavor profile preference. I had the crunchy octopus. She had the salad and we shared the chicken. All were perfectly done. If I lived close by then this would be a regular spot for me.

Dog friendly restaurant! Great staff! We went on a monday & they werent busy at all. The personal who sat us did notice our little dogs & offered us a choice of seating areas. The staff that walked by were vocally excited to see 2 small doggos in their work place. We ordered alcohol & the bartender on duty made my fiancé’s specialty drink EXTREMELY on point! We had to compliment him/bartender as it was very spot on VS the other 6 states we have visited. The food was really on point as well (expect to pay $20 a dish) as far as taste & portiins and a different kind of menu that we did enjoy. Turns out fiance likes their starter dish of original mac&chz +hot cheetos! The waitress did make sure to bring by lil water dishes for dogs after we sat down & explain they hve plain chicken/burger patties for the dogs. Any dog owner should really visit this establishment & will not be disappointed. We are visiting from FL via RV travels & really did enjoy our time here while not having to leave the fur babies behind. THANK YOU!
