My boyfriend is German and this is his favorite restaurant because it reminds him of home. The Jägerschnitzel is amazing. I ordered my favorite side, spätzle, a type of egg noodle. We also got the pretzel and two types of sausages. Everything was delicious and service was great.

Rasselbock Kitchen and Beer Garden is an absolute gem in Bixby Knolls! From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by the cozy yet lively atmosphere. The rustic decor and beautiful outdoor seating create the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The food here is nothing short of amazing. The menu offers a delectable variety of German dishes, and I couldn't get enough of their mouthwatering pretzels, sausages, and schnitzels. Pair that with an extensive selection of beers, and you're in foodie heaven. But what truly sets Rasselbock apart is the exceptional service. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the perfect beer or dish. They go the extra mile to ensure your visit is delightful. If you're in the mood for a unique culinary adventure and a fantastic beer selection, Rasselbock Kitchen and Beer Garden is the place to be. This is a must-visit spot in Bixby Knolls, and I can't wait to return for more memorable moments and delicious food. A true 5-star experience!

Rasselbock is our go-to German place for Bavarian food. I go there for the schnitzels, sausages, German mustard, goulash, and, of course, German and Belgian beer. Red cabbage is excellent. There is ample free parking behind the building. Service is good. We have never had to wait for a table. Beware that the food is very satisfying. It is easy to overeat. This place is a gem.

We had an amazing experience here. The food is an excellent blend of tradition and their own take. Trevor is a grade A server who had a great knowledge of the menu and beer selection. Perfectly relaxing atmosphere. Be back soon!

Been here a few times. The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had, and friends I’ve brought here have said the same. The wurst are all good but the Elk and Wild Boar are the top two. Of all the beers the Petrus passionfruit sour is the best, very fine passionfruit flavor with the sourness being the hard hitting underlying tone.

This is going to come off as a rant, but I encourage you to look at my other reviews - most are positive. The problems started upon arrival - we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table despite several open tables the entire time. I think it was a staffing issue, which I understand. But it was frustrating. This, in isolation, would have been no big deal - it happens. We were seated around 7:50 or just after. Our waitress seemed friendly and responsive (I later figured out she was one of the bartenders - seems like an odd section for a bartender to serve since it's as far from the bar as possible, but whatever. That may have been part of the upcoming problems.) We got our drinks reasonably quickly and put in an order for the giant pretzel (they were out of the regular ones). It took probably 25 minutes for the pretzel to arrive. While waiting, maybe after 10 minutes, we ordered. Several items were unavailable - one beer, 2 sides, and one entree. Our food didn't arrive until close to 8:30 or just after - nearly 40 minutes after being seated. They delivered my food to the wrong table, at which point the patron there happily started eating the wrong meal. A different server came by, was apologetic, and explained the situation and offered me a beer. Since I was drinking an entire stein, I declined, because I didn't need or want more beer, but I thanked her. She assured me the kitchen was working on it ASAP. Everyone in my party finished eating (and they didn't eat very quickly) before my replacement food arrived with a muttered "sorry". It was probably close to 9:30 now - about an hour and 45 minutes after we were seated. My food was also incorrect - they had put the wrong side on my order (checking the receipt showed the correct side had been ordered). It was crazy how long it took to get my order from the kitchen, and the order being incorrect was insult to injury. I didn't even bother to mention it, because at this point I just wanted to choke down my food and get out of there with my family, who, as I said, were all finished and bored. It took forever to get our receipt and pay - probably because our waitress was a bartender and was eating behind the bar instead of coming to our table. I think I saw her 3 times in the almost 2 hours we were there. We had to ask numerous other people for help throughout this process, even for just refills and stuff. Our waitress never even discussed the issue that had arisen with our table and the food - I'm not sure she even knew it had happened. When the check arrived, nothing was taken off. I kind of expected SOME kind of accommodation given the disaster that had happened, but nobody went an extra inch for us on this proactively. We did NOT ask for an accommodation, so perhaps that's on us, but given the situation, I thought it was pretty evident they should have done something. At the end, we just wanted to get out of there. The food that was correct was good, although the portions were small for the prices. The schnitzel photos I see on other reviews look about twice the size of one we got. The bratwurst, while on the long side, was the skinniest I'd ever seen. But the food was largely excellent. Not a great value, but quality. It was a very disappointing experience. When a family of 4 go out and spend over $160 on dinner, you expect better. It was my first, and quite possibly my last time here. I'm including a photo of the bathroom - I couldn't believe how trashed it was. It sums up the night for us nicely. With just a little more care and attention to detail, this could have been a fine experience. Probably not 5 stars because of the value issue, but certainly 4. Instead, it was pretty much a disaster. My family got home after 10pm, and we had no intention of spending almost 3 hours on dinner. Edit: I appreciate the comments from the restaurant, and acknowledge that this may have been a "hangover" from Octoberfest the day before. I'll probably try again.

Came here for their Oktoberfest celebration. Service was limited. We had reservations and still waited about 45 minutes before being seated. However, staff is very friendly. The food is great, but a bit on the expensive side.

10/10 for German food. Portions are big and the beer is cold. I got the Weiner schnitzel with spatzel and braised cabbage. Delicious! Ordered a sausage plate to share with the table. All of the mustards were so good with all of th sausages.

This small restaurant packs a big punch. The atmosphere is so laidback and chill; yet, the quality of the food is on point. A great place to take a date or just hang with friends. Everything we tried was scrumptious 😋. Our server was extremely helpful in making suggestions. He was a master of each dish's contents, which is important when you have a table full of special eaters.

I wait for their lamb shank every Oktoberfest!!!! It's the best! When it's not Oktoberfest, I love their pate and pickles, and sausage plate! Can't ever go wrong with the sausage!

Nice place and friendly staff. I came late night for the apple pie thing this place has. I was interested in the other desert option but they didn't have it available. So I asked for the other desert and they were out of ice cream, I was offered whip cream instead and I was fine with the substitute. I thought I would get a discount of some kind for being inconvenienced with things being out of stock, but I was charged full price. The desert was okay and the wine was decent. May come back and try the food, atmosphere was great.

Always delicious!! Everything is good. We usually get the Bavarian Pretzel, my kids get chicken schnitzel, and my husband gets one of the sausage platters, all the Sausage are good. My go to is the pork Jaeger Schnitzel, the sauce is to die for. Their Brussel sprouts never disappoint. I have also had the grilled caesar salad which I highly recommend. Great selection of beers and wine as well. Image is the holiday Gluhwein, spiced red wine.

Everything was terrific… from food to service. We sat “outside” with heaters and it was perfect. The chicken Schnitzel, sausage platter, sauerkraut, potato salad, and luscious Käsespätzle (traditional southern German dish of tiny dumplings baked with cheese & onions) were so, so good. The bacony deviled eggs were lovely, as was the Pretzel with Obatzda (beer cheeese spread). Yum! Most importantly get the warm, wintry Glühwein, which is perfectly mulled wine with vanilla, citrus, and spices. Delish!

We grabbed a couple of chairs at the bar and following some feedback from the bartender, chose a couple of beers (a hef and a blonde ale) and a couple of appetizers (beet salad and a sausage sampler). And wouldn't you know: everything was outstanding! Rasselbock has a terrific selection and a wide variety of beers on draft and in bottles but our beers were so fantastic that we just ordered them again for Round 2! The amazing appetizers were so great that we skipped ordering entrees and went directly for the apple strudel (not pictured)! We will definitely be coming back to try more items from both the beer and food menus. The whole restaurant is filled with brilliantly decorative touches (keep an eye out for the wall of 'Jackalopes') and I found myself reading all the comments and admiring all the drawings on the bathroom walls and ceilings; not something I thought I'd ever say! Special thanks to Brian & Maxine for their patience and willingness to answer all of our questions!

It was really great food. My family enjoyed all their food items. We had mini potato pancakes and a sausage platter for appetizers. I tried a special...kielbasa nachos...it was awesome. My boyfriend had the cordon blue schnitzel. My family had the rasselbock schnitzel, Hungarian sausage, and kasekrainer sausage. Everyone raved about their dishes and sides. Service was great. Be sure to check out their desserts.

First of all, the bathroom is the Most important room in a restaurant! Although it was cleaner then other pics I have seen. The flooring in this one is Horrible, supposed to be a clean, shiny, smooth surface not poured black concrete that looks like the back alley. 2nd, my husband, who served in the Army for 6 years, stationed in Germany, was NOT impressed with his Jager Schnitzel. I had Rasselbock Schnitzel the white sauce on both of these had No Flavor. Sure we could add salt, we are trying to cut back on the salt. Are you SUPPOSED to have to add salt? I did LOVE the roasted rosemary potatoes n the Balsamic brussel sprouts.

Great place to get some schnitzel and sausages. The beer flight and the pretzel are a great way to start your meal. All of the food was amazing. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because the kitchen was a little bit slow. There were long gaps in between service. This wasn't a problem for me because I was with good company, but I thought I should comment.

Amazing German pub with delicious food and good beer. I had the chicken schnitzel sandwhich and my husband had the rasselbach schnitzel with the Brussel sprouts and fries. He said the Brussel sprouts was amazing and I really enjoyed my sandwhich. I also got their triple chocolate brownie with vanilla Gelato, my husband had the pretzel bread pudding and my best friend the apple Danish. All three were absolutely delicious and it is so hard to chose a favourite. Recommend for a nice Saturday dinner. Was not too ful when we went around 6pm on a Saturday but started filling up around 7pmish. The servers are all ready nice. I recommend this place for some nice german food and beer

The German sausage appetizer with Authentic homemade German mustards. I come to restaurants like this to have a culture culinary experience. I highly recommend. The beer is amazing and I recommend ordering the Warsteiner Pilsner

First time visit. We ordered the Exotic Sausage platter for starters, and it was excellent. They make their own mustards in house and pair them with the sausages. It was great having a flight of different beers that went with the sausages. Our entrees were two different schnitzels. I had kartoffelsalat and she had the fresh string beans. Both very tasty and both came in large portions. Dessert was apple strudel. Allow about 15 minutes prep for this, but it's worth it. All told, a fantastic dining experience.

The food was pretty good and prices were decent as well. They were out of sangria and cocktails would be great but everything was cool. The champagne (whatever was first in the list) was fruity and fabulous.

Cool communicative ambiance’s with long bench tables to dine with friend ambiance great beer selections, Wednesday’s is trivia night! The food is pretty good as well I suggest the schnitzel! And reasonably priced service was fast and attending. They also have mulled wine for those cooler nights. Would come back.
