One of the best Mexican restaurants in area. The corn tortillas are to die for. We had queso fundido, carne asada con camarones, carne asada con chile relleno and a shrimp cocktail.

Love this place, been going here for years. Everything I have gotten has been really good. Everyone I have brought or told to check it out has been pleasant surprised. Great service as well. My go to's are... enchiladas suizas (best I'vehad), chilaquiles, fish tacos, fish ceviche, chicken or shrimp in Chipotle sauce, and the carne asada. One of the best all around mexican joints around.

This place was recommended to us by many friends. It was a long wait to get our table but it was completely worth it. Service was very friendly and helpful. You already know the food is going to be good if they have good chips and salsa. There were 20 people in our party, everyone loved their food, meats were tender, plates were very well served and delicious. The only thing that kind of needs work are the mixed drinks, but it is still a 5 out of 5 for us.

One of my favorite things was the waitress checking if we need anything our drinks never ran out because they were so attractive. I have gone to restaurants were they don't come back and you look for the waiter. You won't regret going here.

If you’re looking for meh Mexican food for a premium price this is the place for you. I was highly disappointed to receive my food after it looking so good on the menu. Left feeling ripped off. Not worth your money. Will never be returning

I rate this restaurant 2 stars as the seating arrangements are congested and they are probably low on staff. They serve good food but the waiters are too busy to take orders without hurry. Went with couple of friends and all of them had to give their orders very quickly because the waiter did not have much time to explain us the dishes. But the food was delicious.

So glad I ate here cause the food here is amazing! The enchiladas suizas are filling and delicious, the horchata was good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to us, she was patient and very friendly. The place is inviting with a bar area with games showing on TV. Highly recommend.

Exceptional food and friendly service. Food is not “Americanized” and the quality of the food justifies the high prices. You may have to wait 30 minutes to an hour because this place is a local favorite, especially on the weekends. One of my biggest critiques (as funny as it seems) is how well a Mexican restaurant prepares its rice and beans. If they get that right, you can probably expect everything else to be good. And yes, theirs are delicious. Homemade tortillas as well.

Los Compadres is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is top-notch. I can't get enough of their flavorful tacos and fresh salsa. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a family dinner or a date night. I highly recommend trying their guacamole - it's the best I've ever had! I'll definitely be coming back for more.

“Los Compadres” on Anaheim is nostalgic for its old world charm and comfort. Love the traditional Mexican restaurants atmosphere and decor. The water glass is Mexican like the ones I used to bring back from Mexico. The food is faultless with creamy frijoles, hearty rice, delicious carnitas, and chicken enchiladas. Great service, warm and welcoming. The House Margaritas are fire! You even get a lollipop with your bill.

I haven't been here in years. Menu slightly different because they no longer have the garlic shrimp dish my friend remembers. Had enchiladas deshebrada with non-refried beans and a Shock Top. Huge for $8. Friend had tacos durados con deshebrada and the queso con fundido con chorizo. Comes with fresh handmade tortillas. Reasonably priced. About a 30 minute wait on a Sunday evening.

Staff was okay, there was no care for my attendance, it was treated more as a matter of fact your in my face, so I guess I will great you. As compared to other "authentic Mexican restaurants" of similar make, it was not very welcoming. They were kind, but it seemed like I was assigning a choir to a child when asking for a menu. I ordered, paid, and waited for my food to go. There were large families coming in to sit down and eat, at least two parties of ten or more. It was quieter than I anticipated being that the driveway was full. However looks can be deceiving. None the less, I ordered chicken breast enchiladas with beans and rice. I was very disappointed it appeared the chicken was ground chicken and kind of dark for breast parts. Anyways, it did look nice, was very salty, and dry. The beans were good, the rice was alright. Traditional Spanish rice has no veggies in it. I had expected larger portions based on the price for two chicken enchiladas over $20.00, however the portion was definitely only enough for one. I am very forgiving tho, so I would not totally write it off as a no go, however this experience left me with much to be longed for. Possibly the dinner experience as a whole could prove different.

Very good, authentic Mexican restaurant. Corn and flour Tortillas are homemade, beans and rice were good, fajitas mixtas and hard shell tacos were delicious and meat was cooked perfectly. Pina colada and margaritas were delicious and well priced

Great place. Good food. The service was great. The atmosphere was good.

I was greeted by Edgar who was very nice, professional, and accommodating. He cleared our table, brought chips and salsa, and reassured us that our waiter would be with us shortly. Our enchiladas Suizas were fantastic along with the side of rice and beans. Our margarita drinks were delicious, but had very little alcohol. We ordered a second margarita assuming our alcoholic beverage may not have been balanced at first, but our second was just as good, yet weak with alcohol. Overall, we would highly recommend returning to this restaurant and might order beers next time.

The food is AMAZING here, lots of great options, authentic flavors and everything was fresh and hot. The guacamole was presented cute, compadres margarita was perfect. I had beef fajitas hot and fresh,beef was nice and tender, one friend had the special enchiladas dinner, he has a hearty appetite and couldn't eat it all, my other friend had the bacon wrapped shrimp, she and I shared, was fantastic. Good size portions, excellent service, from the host, waitress and busser, everyone was super nice and attentive. We did have to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, the place was packed. But after trying their food, that explained it. If you can't make it to Long Beach, they have another location in Norwalk.

This is a wonderful place to eat. We always love the ambience, the servers are efficient and polite, the food is amazing, drinks are delicious, and the restrooms are always clean. I've never had anything I didn't like. Everything always tastes fresh. Bonus: they make their own tortillas with every order and if you ask for the "salsa casera" (spicy) it is way better than the one they serve with the chips.

Woooooooot! AGUACHILIE, baby! I've been looking for a great place to find this. It was so damn flavorful and perfectly spicy. Strawberry and cucumber margs were very refreshing and complimentary to the aguachile. Had my eyes on the mole, and I will definitely be trying it on our next visit. This place is going to have to become a weekly go-to. Keep up the steller work, guys!
