My first time here. I really like that they have a lot of choices in their menu. Brought my dad, and he's a very difficult one, because he sometimes craves items that aren't on the menu at restaurants. Our waitress handled it like a champ! She spoke Spanish better than I do and got him exactly what he wanted even though it wasn't on the menu - amazing! The prices are reasonable. The coffee and food is above average. You won't be disappointed. The service Ariel provided is above and beyond! Will definitely be back again!

The food is always amazing !! Service is kinda poor , the waiter was attentive but honestly no communication I wanted a dessert but she had already brought bill like didn’t even bother to ask if I wanted dessert , but if you ever do eat here always ask for their rice pudding it is amazingly great and delicious

I came for breakfast. Omg...the pancakes and I got the veggie omelette which was freaking great with a side of potato. I came back for a birthday dinner ..😁😋 the Maria was so good. She did a great job and idk who cooked, but thanks for the great dinner..much love

The French toasts are so fluffy. Everything so good, large portions, haven't had anything to complain about.

I love Spires! Great food and great service! Prices are great for the quality and value. If I can remember my waitress name I'll edit this. She deserves a raise. I require specific things regarding food and her attention to detail and patience was exceptional.

I wish I had gotten our server's name. She was really nice, attentive and patient. The food is pretty good too.

Delicious breakfast, ordered on DoorDash and it arrived within an hour. Prices are good and the portions are huge. Great variety in the menu and they have something for everyone. Pancakes are great, chicken fried steak was delicious, and the hash browns are crunchy and well seasoned. The ham is by far the best breakfast meat they serve and the slices are thick, it’s not the thin Canadian bacon type of slices, it seemed like it was cut off a whole ham.

This is the best place to go for a hearty breakfast. Generous portions that are not overcooked or stale. The food is fresh and really tasty. I ordered a cheese and avocado omelet and as big as it was, I still wanted more after I devoured it! The staff is always super sweet and helpful.

Better than home, cooked food and the service is just phenomenal! I highly recommend this restaurant but not only for good food. Great service, but reasonable prices as well.

Food was not good. Sausage tasted like soap. Ordered French toast and the bread was smaller than a wonder bread slice. Biscuits were hard. Then the $50 bill for what seemed it should be $9 each. Just the 2 of us. Never plan to come here ever again

Hey Spires, while most of your staff is working hard to please customers, one of your employees is littering the parking lot. Having lunch and tossing his trash out his window before going in to either start his shift or returning from his lunch break. Either way, he has no regard or respect for the place in which he is employed.

Normally I love spires but have never been to this location. I ordered the California chicken breast which says comes with avocado, tomato and olives. We got our food late and my plate had nothing on the chicken. I told my server and they sent it back. They came back with avocado and tomato as they don't have olives. Then as I dig in, the avocado is brown and old. I sent it back again and replaced with fettuccine. I hate to complain but I did not have a good experience here. The wait staff was helpful and apologetic.

This is my greasy spoon rating. For anyone who doesn't know, Spires is an old school American restaurant with all-day breakfast and all the standard dishes you would expect. Staff here was nice, dining area was spacious and comfortable, and the food was hot and tasty. I had the chili omelette and my wife had a grilled cheese sandwich. No complaints here and I'll return if I'm in the area again.

Been eating here since I was little. The food is great and the service is really good.

Ordered the Lumberjack breakfast. Fast polite service. Waffles were a bit under cooked and not fluffy. Very flat, nor enough batter. Syrup was a bit watery. Ham was great and bacon, eggs and sausage were ok. Home fries looked great, however they were not heated evenly. Some of the mixture was cold.

walked in at 920p and was told they weren’t serving anymore, said i thought they closed at 10 and she said yes but they got the go to close early.. i manage retail and o never close prior to listed hours.. very disappointing after a long day hoping to just sit down and get a hot meal.

Ordered the ribeye steak medium rare and eggs. They gave me a burnt thin piece of meat. Wet, uncooked scrambled eggs, and their French toast was unseasoned and inedible. The service was terrible too there is no good reason to come here. If I could give them zero stars I would. And we didn’t even get a full refund.

Food is great American fare... Decor is old fashioned ... Service is all fashioned... Smallest refill cups I seen ( order of coffee and/or hot chocolate )....BTW ... most appetizers were deep fried offerings

It's okay for a quick bite to eat it used to be better but I believe they're portions got smaller and don't sit next to the kitchen or where they wash dishes because they make a lot of noise

Great food and service. I enjoy eating here regularly with my family. A great environment. Didn’t give 5 stars because most of the time the ac is broken, which makes it really hot and uncomfortable, but great customer service otherwise.

It had been years since I had been in this restaurant. I did not know they still existed. Was so happy when my daughter took me to this one. The food was still great, the staff were nice and checked on us 3 times while we ate. Loved it. I will go back when I am in that city again.

The amazing waitress makes you feel welcomed every time you go. The food is good the desserts have been fresh every time I've got them.

Sonia was our server. She was so nice & was constantly checking if we needed anything! She provided excellent service! Our meals were delicious!

The restaurant is a very clean establishment and the food and service impeccable. The cooking staff are fantastic and take pride in maintaining a regime of quality. The owner is on premises not only overseeing but works side by side with his staff. I recommend this establishment highly.

Spires in long beach has the best food and all the employees are nice and friendly and it's clean and ready for customers during business hours I highly recommend going if you want homemade like food you won't be disappointed
