This is a cute little restaurant with some great Mexican comfort food. The portion sizes are quite large and we ended up only eating half of our plates (that’s okay because we had the other half for dinner). Everyone loved their food. The parking can get competitive but it is worth it.

Enrique's Mexican Restaurant on PCH and Loynes Drive, in Long Beach, CA ...is the BEST Mexican Food ! Their Servers are Excellent and very attentive. Their Homemade Chunky Salsa is excellent, Food Quality is a 10 ! You've got to try Their Huevos Rancheros with Avocado and Sour Cream on the side, with Chunks of tender shredded Beef !

We've been going to Enrique's for 16 years now...I'm Gluten Intolerant and call ahead and Enrique or his crew put a fresh pan of oil on and make me fresh chips that are still warm when I get there. Then they reserve the pan and oil for frying any food I order. I've NEVER gotten tainted! We love Michelle and Enrique's commitment to keeping me safe! Oh and the FOOD: the refried beans are the best I've ever had, the salsa is fresh and a bit spicy, the white corn tortillas are obviously fresh and handmade by their vendor... I could go on and on... And don't forget dessert! The creme broule is not on the menu but is always available and is "to die for"!

Words cannot express on how much this location continues to provide good service starting from management to crew. They are always friendly and helpful, along with good quality food with no problems at all. I strongly recommend that this location is given a 5 star rating because that's what we as customers want and they deliver as always. Much respect to the owner of this location for having a good strong crew along with their management. We will always continue to go to this location on a regular basis going forward.

Brianna was amazing for it being her 2nd day as a server. That salsa is cause to come back by itself. Margaritas were stiff and delicious (ask about the secret menu)

We enjoyed Enrique's. The service wasn't the fastest but the food was good.

Mexican like Abuela used to make. Great gormet Mex. What makes it "gormet" you might ask. Like most fine dining, it's the sauce! We had Mexican Oso Bucco... pork shank in tomatillo sauce. Absolutely fabulous. I put them in the same category as Lola's and almost as good. Enrique's has more variety, but before I can say Lola's remains my top fav, I'll have to visit here again, and soon. The other red dish is salsa to cry about. Not because it's too hot but because it's so damned good. Probably 20 plus ingredients. Go there hungry as portions are huge!

Fantastic Albondigas Soup and a more than ample portion. Worth the trip there just for that. Varied menu with some traditional and signature dishes. Service was fine. I gave the food four stars only because on my last visit the taco trio was a bit overcooked - but that's not the norm and they probably would have taken it back if I had asked. I recommend paying a visit and exploring their menu.

Delicious homemade style Mexican food. Chips and salsa were also delicious. I love that everything is made in house, including the chips. I had the chili relleno and cheese enchilada combo and it was delicious. Next I’m in LB, I’ll make sure to stop here.

I picked this place since we would be in Long Beach and I just assumed it was a little hole in the wall. Boy was I wrong.... Started with the chips and salsa and was impressed by the flavor. Hubby passed since it was loaded with cilantro but I devoured the entire bowl by myself! He asked for spicy salsa and was given a bowl of habanero salsa. Usually when you get something like this it's just FIRE hot but this had great flavor. IF you like heat, ask for it! I initially wanted tacos, beans and rice but I was talked into the Chile Rojo plate. I like a good chile Colorado. The was delicious and I am pretty picky when if comes to the red sauce. The meat was a little dry and I would have liked a little more sauce on the plate but it definitely would be a go to on my next order. The plate came out so hot the red sauce was bubbling like lava! Hubby got the tres taco platter and it was legit! The potato taco was the bomb! SO much food we could not finish our plates! Great restaurant. I was bummed because I wanted a margarita on the rocks but they only carried slushy ones. They have beer, too, but I wasn't in the mood for that. It's close to CSULB and the VA hospital. Definitely glad we tried it.

Been 20 years since I've been here, and the food is still outstanding. Very rare to find Carne En Su Jugo on a menu, and they do it well. Nice to know some things don't change.

Great food and service. Came here on a Friday night for patio dining. We ordered the tostada and enchilada plate, and the quesadilla plate. Both came with a side of rice and beans. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The service was great, we were checked on frequently and had our drinks refilled quickly. My favorite tasting food of the night was the quesadillas, the cheese was so good. The bill was very reasonable considering the serving size, flavor, and service. Will definetly be visiting this place more often.

My intake of fried food decreases so much every year. The chips taste alright and the salsa is tasty. I have to save half the meal for lunch the following day because I get full half way through the meal. There is a decent amount of seating. The customer service is good (in my experience) and the prices are okay. For as much as I've come to experience of the eatery, I think it's a decent eatery providing home-cooked-vibes.

Amazing food and great service. The enchilada sauce is especially wonderful. Meat and veggie options, the black beans are great. My wife and I really love Enrique's. The parking lot is cramped and busy but it is well worth the trouble.

Got recommendations from a good group so we went. Space is cute but quite worn. Server was very nice but handling too much. Enchiladas had mozzarella cheese… just not great or authentic tasting. Salsa was good. Kind of pricey.

I would not refer this restaurant to people. When they prefer a certain race more. And. !!! think !!!! they are making more brownie points off them. They should look very good in how they treat !!!!! customers!!!!!!! I am sorry they lost me as a customer because I was going to give them a good brownie point If you now what I mean. When it comes to the food , I can't say If they continue to prefer a certain race. !!!! First !!!! . And putting other races on the back burner and yes Waiting for there food. It's very sad 😔.

Found this place after the Bellflower location shut down. We had the jicama salad and the grilled salmon over sautéed spinach. Absolutely delicious. Staff is prompt and friendly. We Loved it and will visit again.

Delicious and fresh. We will be returning. The burrito and shrimp cocktail were great. However, the tamales and fish tacos were not too great.

What a great find by luck! Awesome salsa and chips for just an appetizer was very tasty. Then on to the entrées... Beef shredded or ground were very tasty and the portions were large. Great cheese (definitely NOT mozzarella) and red sauce ! Very filling and flavorful. Definitely worth a stop.

Server added their own tip on my TO-GO order…This is the SECOND time this has happened, we all make mistakes but twice? I don’t think so. Unacceptable. The excuse is, the tips are put in by hand. This last time when I ordered to go I did not add a tip because the server was rude. How do you overcharged a non-existent tip? No.

First time at this location, and tastes exactly the same! Love their salsa, and i can't resist getting the house salad, with the Clintro dressing! Usually i get a burrito with the melted cheese! 😋 this place has one of the best flan, and creme brule i've had.

Honestly, the best Mahi tacos of my life! Fresh homemade tortillas, perfectly grilled mahi, la creme, pico de gallo and tons of fresh guacamole. If you like heat ask for habanero salsa along with their original salsa. Come hungry because nothing is ala carte here. Chile Rellano is amazing also!

I guess I was expecting more. Their atmosphere is inviting and the meal was tasty, however I was disappointed with the cheese they used. I suggest they change brands. It was too gummy and stringy. Otherwise it was good. I liked very much their salsa with chips. It was tasty without burning a hole in your tongue.

I had the pork shank and it was really good. Very tender and full of flavor. The chips and salsa was really good too.

Delicious and lots of fabulous Mexican food. My friend came in from England and couldn't wait to eat Mexican food. She was so happy to have a Delicious plate of cheese enchilada and chili relano. The only thing we missed was she asked for a margarita and the waiter said they didn't have any so we ordered beer. While looking at the menu we noticed that they did have margaritas and asked him for 2 strawberry 🍓. Even if they were not made with tequila they were still Delicious and we ordered 2 more strawberry margaritas. I am not sure why he told us the didn't have any margaritas 🤔? I am for sure going back here again and definitely ordering the wine margaritas again. So Delicious you will not be disappointed in the margaritas or the food. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because we were told they didn't have margaritas. Order them. They are Delicious 😋

The food is ok, but could use a little more flavor. It's better than fast food though. My shredded beef taco was so fried that the shredded beef was almost as crunchy as the shell, so that's a fail in my book. We've gone here a couple times a year over a span of about 10 years, and the food is getting noticeably bland. Such a shame because they used to be pretty good... maybe the cook has changed?
