The Lord works in mysterious ways. I find myself on the right path these days. I am grateful for such beautiful parks like El Dorado. The abundance of nature and vastness is therapeutic. I did a couple of breathing exercises and at one point found myself surrounded by ducks. Life is worth enjoying.

A landscape continuation of beautiful green space and big trees from the El Dorado West City Park, tho less crowded! One of my favorite family parks, as it’s a more private park goers experience. Because it is with a fee based admission for vehicles to park, there’s availability of larger group access with more constant attention to amenities and upkeep. There’s playgrounds, playing fields, archery range, mini lakes, mini trains and mini trails! There’s also access to the long San Gabriel River Bike Trail The park experience continues across Spring Street with the Nature Center, a further continuation into an urban respite. It’s a real day topper to walk thru when spending time at the park!

Great place for a nature walk with kids. There's a 1/4 mile trail if you have little ones, also a 1 mile and 2-mile trail. Trails are shaded. Spring time is a nice time to go. Our littles were so excited to see so many turtles. I loved seeing all the flora. Parking is $8. We loved the walk so much we ended up buying the yearly pass. We even got a senior discount.

Absolutely amazing place. I love that they have a dog park, for small and big dogs. There are also a lot of trees, those purple ones, don't know the name but it's my favorite as it reminds of a fairytale. I love walking around this park, it's so peaceful and quiet and absolutely gorgeous. When I need a day without people around I go there. There are a lot of places to have a picnic with your family or a romantic dinner with your date, take a jacket as after 6 it can get a bit chilly.

Went to El Dorado Park for a 5K run. The park is well kept up since there is a fee to get in. The restrooms were as clean as can be expected in a public park. The playground equipment seemed very new, contemporary and fun for the kids. Lots of wildlife everywhere in the middle of the suburbs.

☆RALPH B. CLARK PARK☆ 8800 ROSECRANS AVE BUENA PARK PLEASE NOTE!!! HEADING IS INCORRECT! My regular walking park close to home! Was pet sitting, and the dog loved it here! Has a drinking fountain with an attached low fountain for pets next to the restrooms near the ballparks... Cover the entire park walking the meandering sidewalks and the perimeter dirt trails that gain elevation Such a beautiful place! Never gets old! Details observed in the flowers, the birds, the trees, and people watching

The park is clean & a great spot to get into touch with nature. I love that there is fantastic greenspace in the heart of the city. Although it is a humid day, there is a cool refreshing breeze. We had a great time!

Pro tip: enter via spring st. Also, a parking pass is good for 24 hours in the park and the natural reserve, so you could enjoy one in the afternoon and catch the next one the following morning. I didn't see the reserve because it was closed on Mondays, but the park itself has two ponds, a creek, acres of open meadows and columns of trees that provide canopies of shade. Folks bring tents to enjoy a full day, others bring fishing rods to catch and release fish in the stocked pond, and the park itself connects with the San Gabriel River Bike Path so you can park, ride to Seal Beach and back, and spend the rest of the day nursing a Gatorade in the grassy shade.

A wonderful stop along the way. This park is still well maintained, but isn't the same as I remember it to be back when I was here last. Bring a can of mixed nuts to feed the squirrels. Bird watching info: spotted a pair of nesting eagles across the river on an electrical pylon. Species unknown. Many other species of birds in this park.

Great place to spend some time outdoors. There are multiple trails you can take that differ in difficulty. No difficulty steel hills, but still plenty of scenery for you to enjoy. There are squirrels everywhere and they are not shy to get up close. You'll also see turtles and plenty of birds. Around the trails you'll come to some nice open spaces with benches to sit down and enjoy. Plenty of branches covering the sun let's you enjoy the cool breeze. Recommend it to enjoy some nice time outdoors alone, with friends, or family.

Such a peaceful place to walk through. Trail hours are very strict and park staff will ensure trails are cleared before 5. Be sure to give yourself enough time to make it through the trail. There are 3 different options: 2 mi, 1 mi and a shorter paved one. Across the street is an archery range and there is a side road underground to take you to the other section of the park.

We hung out at the frontier area with the train. I love how that part was gated all around. Super kid friendly. This made my day with my 2 autistic boys/ family very fun and easy. There's also so much more to do including a cute little snack area where you can buy freshly popped popcorn, drinks, shaved ice and so much more. My son's loved the carasoul and panning for gold. To top it off the prices weren't too bad, there was a great band and it was very tranquil with the beautiful trees and wind blowing. I highly recommend this park. That was just the area where the train was, but saw so many families smiling and having a blast. Hope this helps

A huge park that you can probably spend your whole entire day here. Very beautiful trails to walk and explore. Big trees, lush green, and peaceful vibes. Good for kids and actually the whole family to spend a good quality day together. Plenty of parking spots. We went on Saturday. $8 to park and you can also re-enter. Once we were done exploring, we drove to another side of the park which is also huge with plenty of very clean picnic areas, archery class on site, playgrounds, and etc. Come and spend a day here and you will feel reset and recharged.

This is a great place to go to and take a walk on a hot day. Tge trails are mostly covered by trees. So you won't get sun burnt. They have a 1 and a two mile hike. They also have a shorter 1/4 mile hike that is paved. That one is great for anyone that has a hard time with uneven ground.

Absolutely gorgeous nature walk! It's great for beginners as it's not very steep at all. Very relaxing and the views are phenomenal. Will be going back!

Nice large gated park with duck ponds, archery, playgrounds and walking trails. The weekday cost is $6 per car and it is well worth it. You can visit the nature center or take the little ones for a train ride.

We drove around scouting out open spots for a picnic / BBQ in a few weeks. You can bring Propane or charcoal grill. They do ask everyone to dump hot charcoal remains into their H/C dump containers located throughout the park sections. Beautiful scenery with bike rentals, and a mini train ride within the park El Dorado Frontier land. I think the train ride and little theme park entrance cost 15.00 for each person on Saturday and Sundays only. Park is clean and keep your entry fee ticket stub in case you have to exit the park, you can return that same day as many times as needed. Cost to enter the park is 8.00 on weekends.

Great place for a party!! Get there early for the best spots, bring your own tables/chairs. There are bicycles for rent, a 2 mile loop bike path and a small lake.

Huge park that has basically everything. Make sure you know what part of the park you are going to as there are multiple entrances. The kids playgrounds are new and very nice. Lots of different equipment and spread out in multiple play areas. Exercise path goes throughout the park and is pretty active on nice days.

Huge beautiful park, multiple lakes and areas, including 2 large dog parks (for small & large dogs). The dog parks also have water fountains people/pet with extra dog bowls inside so you don't have to constantly take your dogs in & out. Be advised they do charge $6-9 admission, but am told an annual pass is available.

This is a gorgeous and well maintained gem of a nature park. The paths are well marked and it's apparent that they spend good resources on keeping it beautiful. Every time I've visited, the parking lot has looked fairly full and a health number of people are roaming the park. The wildlife look comfortable, with plenty of trees for the birds and squirrels and perches for the turtles. Signs are placed at forks to direct visitors towards the exit, 1/4, 1, and 2 mile paths. Plenty of shade throughout the park and an ample number of benches to rest and just take in the vast beauty. Though it's posted not to picnicking or fish, it's great for a nice stroll or a contemplative sit. I've even visited just to find my center and meditate. I'll be returning for more peaceful relaxation and to take in some amazing nature.

I love this extensive park. It has everything from miles of bike paths, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, frisbee golf, a skate park, a library, a model airplane field, multiple fishing lakes, archery, geese, bike rental, and even a beautiful nature center with 2 miles of walks through the forest. This is an amazing local resource. I’ve driven past to see hundreds of people attending concerts on random summer evenings, and there are multiple Quinceañeras going on any given weekend. This is a real gem and a sign of our taxes at work

The park is excellent! Every other week, we bring our dogs and enjoy its spacious grounds. It's a really big park, perfect for various activities. Many people organize company parties and other events on weekends. Additionally, there are Achary and other sports available. The park features BBQ areas, duck feeding spots, bike rentals, and even a drone aircraft flying field. The entrance fee on weekends is $8 and $6 on weekdays, but walking is free. Overall, our experience has been really positive. It's a great place to spend time outdoors and unwind.

Archery range on a Saturday morning is lovely. Lots of parking and restrooms right nearby. All skill levels were out on the field when I went. I was shooting 25 meters but the guy on my right was shooting 70!

Pretty chill park. Lots to do, from biking, running, BBQing, to fishing or just hanging out. There's a bike rental place on one side of the park. We came on a Saturday. There is one area where you can fly your airplanes if that's your hobby. I also read a sign There where they teach how to fly them. I'm pretty sure it's for a fee. Oh, there's also a little dog park area for your fur babies.

Nice big park and good trail way. Love the way you can hear animals and smell flowers. There is couple of small lakes with ducks 🦆 and turtles 🐢. Note: don’t bring there your dog 🐕. Dogs are not allowed in the park. Enjoy 😊

Very quick escape from the city. Its the Central Park of Long Beach. I often go here to get away and relax my mind. 1, 2, & 3 mile hikes available which are mostly shaded.

We had a blast at the park it was $8 for parking but you can buy a parking pass for 65 and you're $8 you paid that day can go towards it if you show your receipt. But well worth it I had not been to the nature center before and it was a lot of fun and some Hands-On things that the kids could do and then we only did the quarter mile loop which was really easy and paved because we had smaller kids with us but they have a one mile and a 2 mile loop that I can't wait to go back to with the older kids. They have lots of signs and it was fun seeing different varieties of mushrooms and some turtles and I had never seen an elderberry tree before so that was fun! And if you go under the street you can go to the other side of the park and they have a pretty awesome playground over an area 3. We stayed until the Park closed down and the park ranger drove around telling people it's time to go. Great park of you have kids! I had been there a couple times before for picnics but finally experiencing more of it

Love the trails. Amazing walks w/different distances available & bathrooms. Area always kept up. Parking can be a Little hard to find some days; always a good idea to get there early when you go. There is a fee for each car to enter or you can purchase a yearly pass. Worth the money for the year if you like walking in a peaceful area. Great for family time also.

Great place for a run. The park is well kept up. The trail gets crowded on the weekends but otherwise isn't too bad. Parking is easy and inexpensive with a yearly pass. There's a dog park there, too!

Great place for families and kids, entrance on north side of Spring Street West of the 605 fwy. $8 admittance fee per car and benches available throughout the park. Plenty of shaded areas and beware a lot of duck poop close by lake. The bike paths around the park is nice and well marked, bring your bike if you can.

  • 5/5 Kim J. 3 years ago on Google
A great walk! When we can't walk the Nature Center because of rain, we go across the street and use the paved path. It's a nice, long route and you'll see ducks, a lake and there are bathrooms along the way. There is ample parking and a dog part as well. Enjoy the day there!
