The 80s music is great here. I love the how the vee-jay (video deejay) mixes the songs. They blend and transition well and the videos are playing on the screen with the songs. You not only get aural pleasure from the music but also a visual experience. Prepare for a night full of nostalgia as you will see videos and hear your favorite songs throughout the night during their dance party. Their live acts are amazing, too, as the have different, high quality tribute bands (and sometimes the original artists) weekly. The only con about this venue is the parking. There isn't much available so you would have to find a spot somewhere in the local residential areas which may already fill up. I was told that there is a park-and-ride parking lot a block and a half away. It's quite a walk, though. I didn't take any stars away for the parking issue because once you are inside, you'll have so much fun that you won't want to complain about it.

This is a great spot. We came here on Thursday and the DJ (DJ Whiskey) was mixing great songs from the 80s & 90s. Plenty of seating area, very big dance floor. The drinks are very generous and well made, best part there was no cover charge. The only drawback is there are only 20 or so parking spaces and there is nowhere else to park.

Fun 80s bar, cool live band playing 80s and Rock en Español! Beware cover charge cash only 👎 Place was clean decent selection of drinks. We arrived around 10:30pm and no "tables" free for our group of 6 There was a VIP section not sure what it takes to get in there 😉 maybe for party or reserved table service (?) We got lucky with parking as someone was leaving when we arrived, otherwise they suggest you park in the nearby residential area Good times for our group of cool moms 😎looking for a fun night with no kids!

The music before the band played was awesome. Sound in the room changed completely when it went live. Not so good. Band didn't start playing until 11:00. It's an '80s club don't they remember how old is '80s kids are now. Lol

Great music, nice band. What killed it was the lousy drinks. We ordered a $11 shot. The drink was served in a small plastic cup. I thought it was ranch dressing lol. There bowl drinks are nothing but ice. Very little alcohol, and expensive. I recommend stopping at a local bar before arriving.

Came here for Totally 80's Bar and Grille at around 11pm. My girflfriends and I were granted access to the club without having to pay any cover (whoot)! Plus one for Totally 80's Bar and Grille.

I had a bad first impression but the second time I went sealed the deal. I don't know where these security guards get off being so effin rude and to flip off my friend for no reason. The cover bands are alright but something needs to change with management. Will never come back

The Staff was so totally awesome! I like really enjoyed the Bar Food+. And with their totally radical dishes, food made New Years night radical! Some day I'll get the tubular music selection playing 12/31/2023. (Insert 80s term here). Not all food ordered new years eve is listed here. I had an excellent time. Without question. 10/10 will attend again.

This place has a good vibe but totally not worth it. First the parking is small you have to get there early & I mean super early to get parking. Once you find a parking space you have to get in line to get in. Once you’re in & ready to pay the cover charge is cash only. They do have a ATM machine inside but their is also a huge line to use it. Don't forget to bring your ID otherwise you won't be able to get in. The security guard was nice & let me go get in from my car. He made sure I did not loose my place in line. The way I took it, They let the VIPs go in first. Others wait in line. Once you get in, if you did not reserve a vip table you will be seated on the worst part of the club. I will call it the boring section. There are only a few small TVs and I mean small TVs, tables & chairs you would not be able to see the stage. There is this huge wall covering the stage. The club is shape like a J. I’m my opinion it’s the worst shape for a club. Once you get out to the dance floor it’s a really good vibe the music is nice the people are drinking having a good time. The drinks are good reasonably priced. I recommend the big fish bowl. It’s comes with a flashing ice cube making it look really nice. It’s big enough to last you the whole night. I did not try the food so I can’t review the food. I also did not like that the waitress keeps your credit card to run a tap, I get it, but that made me a little uncomfortable. The waitress was super nice very attentive to us. Would I recommend this place only if you reserved a VIP table otherwise no I don’t, save your money there are better places out here.

Some good friends surprised me and took me out to the Total 80's Bar and Grille to see The Doors cover band, Strange Days Tribute. Had a blast. It felt like I went back in time and experienced the 70's that night. Thanks gang.

Had a great time but wish there more tables/bar tables closer to the dance floor. To be apart of the action. If you love the 80s and the music this is the place to be.

Great atmosphere, service, and most of all the music! The DJ was great and bands rock it! …. I would highly recommend either getting there right at doors open to guarantee your group a table or reserve one in VIP!… Cash Cover!

Truthfully, I love this place! So much so that I'd drive from DTLA and I've brought large groups of 15-20 people; we've always had a great experience and a great time. Not the case this past Saturday; drinks were terrible and not properly measured with a jigger (underpoured) so much so that I heard multiple people in my group and outside my group were complaining. Normally the dj will sync up with the videos on the multiple tv screens all around the bar, making for a great audio/visual experience...not this time! Not sure if policy has changed, it's under new management or they're having a hard time finding good people, but it will hurt this bar, if it hasn't already, based on the low attendance and lack of diversity I witnessed.

You really need to like 80s music to enjoy yourself. There is a cover charge. It opened at 8 pm and we arrived at 9:15 pm. Luckily found parking on the street. Lot had cones but I didn't notice valet...no more parking spots. No public tables were left, only VIP. Ordered chicken fingers (came with fries). Both were good and fries had nice seasoning. DJ played until band started at 11:15 pm. Unfortunately, during DJ time, there was 20 minutes of NO MUSIC...power was lost to the sound. The rest of the place still had power. The photo I took was during the sound outage. I attached the cover band lineup. I felt overdressed because many people wear sneakers and t-shirts. Mixed ages but most looked over 50+.

$15 door charge, open at 8 pm. Plan ahead and get a VIP table $100 for 4 people. Don’t get VIP table #3, view is blocked by a column. The VIP tables near the walls are all high chairs. There is security at this area so no drunks loitering taking your seats and block your view. The waitresses are awesome with services. So you don’t have to push your way through the crowd to get your drinks. French fries are very good and crispy. Music is good so pick your 80’s theme. I give them 👍👍

The atmosphere, music, drinks and staff were great! Came to celebrate cousin's Birthday. We danced the entire night and were delighted to find out there was a live performance. Tribute to Madonna, my fav!

My first time there and I had such an amazing time. Music was awesome, live music was awesome. The drinks were reasonable. Friendly atmosphere. Everyone goes to have a good time, no drama. VIP also reasonably priced and close to the stage.

Got there around 8 and found out the band didn't start until 11:00. We decided to wait it out and figured the band was going to be good. Once the band started 80's music went away and the band played mostly Hispanic tunes. Felt like I was at a quinceanera. The band was good but we were there for 80's music. The club had an awesome vibe with neon colors and 80's music pumping until the band started. Some people were dressed like the 80's which was cool. Bouncer out front made people wait to get in even though the place was empty when we arrived. Friendly staff and great crowd. We will return but will be sure to find out what type of music the band will be playing before we go. 7 out of 10 for me.

Not my favorite location. Where do I start? After having more than one lame experience here I walked away with this...The owners have made a small empire for themselves with their 80's clubs; for that I am proud of what they have accomplished. With that said, I feel as if they have forgotten their "roots". The cover charge of $15 is ridiculous, the small line was being held up for no other reason but to "look" busy. Those "tactics" are so 90's and lame. Parking is ridiculous. It's not the size of the parking lot BUT the fact that a large majority of it is "coned" off for employees etc. I understand the acts and bands need such accomodations but the staff are the ones that should be parking at the Park and Ride up the street. Not the patrons. 50% of the time the bands and/or music are not even 80's? Seating in the joint is also held for those who want to "pay" to sit? My husband and I were approached by what felt like a used car salesman asking if we wanted to sit for a surcharge? Complimentary first come limited seating is not even an option even though they already have a separate "paid" VIP section. Moving on, I understand it takes a while before people get drunk and get the nerve to dance but please. The main demographic here is mostly Gen X and should not be acting like shy violets out of place. After trying to start up the dance floor multiple times I gave up, couldn't wake the DEAD. There are NO mirrors in the ladies room??? Now the good; the drinks are most always delicious. The food is typical bar food, not horrible, not great. The smoking patio is decent and comfortable standing space only. The dancefloor is nice size and the stage/dj booth are well placed. The decor is on point. My favorite of this franchise of venues is the original New Wave Bar in Bellflower on a Wednesday or Thursday night with Karaoke. Everything else about these clubs is a cross between what Gen X and Boomers will remember as THE HOP and some kind of "wannabe hipster heaven'" I can throw a better party in my living room! So disappointed.

This place has a good atmosphere. The music was great however the transitions between song was a bit odd. The odd transitions between music is a reflection of not having a DJ on site. The parking was good and there was security in the parking lot. A line generally forms prior to 8 pm which is when they open. The club gets crowed but still a very pleasant experience. Drink service was quick and plentiful.

Unbelievably fun! Went for my wife's 50th and the atmosphere was amazing. Great band headlined and we never felt out of place. A must do for 80s music fans!

We went on the Mana cover band day. It was good music, but the amount of people they allow in is crazy. The people poured out of the dance floor, everywhere you went there was somebody in your face. Bathrooms need some work, they’re dirty and unkept. We reserved a table and it still felt crowded. We ended up taking home a party favor…aka COVID. Majority of our party has tested positive. Just keep that in mind before heading out there.

This is what I always imagined the 80s were like, except I'm sure most bars back then didn't have murals with every notable 80s star's face painted on the walls. Definitely gonna head back there.

We went for New Years Eve & had the best time. The vibe & people were great. Get the Purple Rain mixed drink, it's fantastic. The food was yummy too.

  • 5/5 Valerie L. 6 months ago on Google
This place has great customer service. They pay attention to the environment and make sure people are not taking over the tables/place. There were several larger parties/ groups of people that were being pushy / rude ( in terms of cutting in line or trying to get all the tables they could for themselves). The staff does a fantastic job at preventing from occurring. Before entering the venue , staff walks each party one at a time. This does take longer to get inside but prevents a lot of problems. Also the staff is actively checking in throughout the night and reminding folks to stay clear of walk paths. If you do plan on bringing a large party ,plan ahead and be respectful towards others at the venue by having your party together before waiting in line. Parking is a little tight. There is a parking lot but can become impacted quickly. I would recommend uber or car pool. Food: the food is awesome! We had great wings and buffalo fries . The wings were cooked crispy and full of flavor. Very impressed with the quality of a bar grill. Drink: drinks were okay. They were very cute and went well with the environment but not strong. Very cute names though! Overall it was a great experience. I would recommend bring glow in the dark gear. Makes the night even better!

I love the live entertainment. I saw the blood flowers( cure cover band) love the 80s videos on the screen. Dj plays all 80s genres even punk. Crowd isn't too young or too old. Food portions are just rught for sharing. Parking lot fills up fast arrive early

Horrible place to , the security guy smoking pot at the entrance, also watching videos on his phone, the tribute bands one day is the cure other week doors and the other morrisey, playing exactly the same , the drinks suck. If you complain with the manager they don’t care, very bad service,0 customer service. It wasn’t only one night there’s several. That’s why only open 3 days per week.almost forgot parking lot is a nightmare.

I've been visiting the totally 80s bar, and it's always been a blast coming here to enjoy the best cover bands. They offer a great assortment of drink options, and there's plenty of seating and dance floor. They have 18 monitors to enjoy visual performances from their VJ's as well.

  • 2/5 Angelina L. 9 months ago on Google
The bartender was great. However we had a large party there was no tables and people are allowed to take over tables the entire night. We had to stand the entire evening. We tried to get vip table as a few had not been used and was told they were taken. In my opinion tables should have 1.5 to 2 hour max. I won't be going back for the simple fact that they are unable to accommodate and don't offer a waiting list.

First visit, went to see Berlin. Doors opened 35 minutes late, they let people without tickets go in first, which made a few people in line go nuts. Worse, once inside we were told the concert didn't start until 11pm (our sitter was livid); I suppose that's how they make their money since drinks are $10 each. The ambiance is amazing, the bar food rocks, but was expensive, the nostalgic clips playing on the TVs were just what I had hoped for. Only one operational video game (looked like Donkey Kong). Honestly expected more, but would go back if not a concert.

Due to restrictions from Covid there are cutrently no live bands like before but the DJ is good and had alot of fun. Limited seating so not overly crowded like it used to get sometimes. Service is on point, waite staff very attentive and the food was pretty good. It's a cool spot to hang out for those who appreciate the 80's vibe. Even with restrictions in place, I would definatly recommend this place.
