Awesome place! So happy a new sandwich shop opened that is unique. The Morty and the turkey and cheese were so good. The potato salad is also very good. Definitely coming back!

I’m not big on sandwiches. Usually something’s off, not fresh enough, too much bread, but you guys, Foundation Sandwich Shop, is amazing delicious!! MexiCali Chicken Sandwich is seriously the best sandwich ever. The chicken has just the right amount of rub, chipotle aioli gives it another kick, fresh cilantro yum! The avocado mellows it out, and don’t get me started on the bread. Fresh, warm, delicious. And the potato salad is outstanding. Totally different than traditional potato salad, in a good way. And the staff, super nice, very chill. Love!!

The Foundation Sandwich Shop is a top notch deli style restaurant on the Promenade in downtown Long Beach. The food is exceptionally good... delicious. I especially like their deli salads. I keep going back for another visit; I enjoy this restaurant every time. The manager is very nice; she works hard to please. I was very impressed with her great style. The employees are also doing there best to serve every customer. Very professional. I came in for lunch and ate the "Kinda Cuban" and it was delicious. I recommend it. this place is step above Quiznos or jershey Mike's and their prices are good. The outside seating is great. The made the sandwhich pretty fast. I'm definitely coming back to try out their other sandwiches later since I work close by.

This was a GREAT place to have a relaxing lunch and sit outside and enjoy beautiful weather. Very friendly employees and delicious food. We had the Kinda Cuban and it was really good.

Absolutely stellar sandwiches. I’ll definitely be back. All of the ingredients tasted high quality and fresh. The different types of sandwiches are also unique and makes it stand out from the rest. It’s all at a great price as well.

I had the kinda cuban and the pork was perfectly moist, not dry at all and the overall flavor was just so good! The sandwich itself is a good size u think because you're not left hungry or super stuffed. Thrive also got a couple beers and smoothies! Will definitely be coming back!

Always a tasty sandwich. Appreciate the small shop pushing out the quality! Grilled cheeses are on point!

The chicken pesto we were served was still cold and tad gamy (the meat used didn't justify the price). The kinda cuban was tasty, but lacked sustenance. Sandwiches are about 6 inches and served on white/hero/french bread (baguette like). I probably won't be coming back here given other choices in the area.

I'll let my picky 12 year old's opinion speak for all of us. "It's probably the first ever sandwich I've liked." Maybe a slight exaggeration but I'm thankful he ate his entire sandwich without a single complaint.

So good. Went with the Kinda Cuban because it was the cashier’s personal favorite. Get extra pickles on the side because they are incredibly sweet and a lot to the sandwich.
