consistent great tacos. LOVE the RED SAUCE. compared to other locations, this one is less wait. COVID-days take-out tip: order tacos in multiples of 8, and ask them to package in the box. this way the tortillas won't be soggy.

This is one of the many King Taco locations, and their food is usually good. It's nothing fancy, nothing experimental, nothing special. They have a formula that works and they stick to it. I enjoyed the cabeza and al pastor tacos. I would highly recommend the tamales as well. Pair it with some orange soda and you're in flavor town. While it's good food, it's also a bit boring. I would like to see a more innovative approach to one or two menu items. Also, their salsa "bar" is nonexistent, which is too bad. I'd visit again if I was in the area for generic good tacos. However if I was in the mood for something special or unique, I wouldn't come here.

Food is good. I love King Taco. But the Service is super slow in this store. I’ve b all n in other stores and this one in Long Beach is just amazing slow. They’re short on employees. There’s only 2 ladies making orders and most of the time only one. The line is crazy big and can wait up to 1 1/2 hours

They don't have limes or lemons and their sizing is small. Lines are long ... The best thing is horchata their menu is small pricing is insane... Flavor is good but not enough for the prices will not go back

I’m from NYC, so we don’t have King Taco here. My friend who grew up in LA raved about how awesome these were, and now every time I go to LA I have to eat here. The food is sooooo good. The service is pretty quick and they’re friendly. The prices for the food here are reasonably priced, seasoned perfectly and just overall authentic yummy Mexican food. The tacos are small but filling, and the sopes are probably the best I’ve tried anywhere. The only thing I’ve tried from here that I didn’t necessarily like was the chicharrones tacos.

Waited 1 hour just to get food. There were like maybe 8 people in line before me. They had a whole stack of orders that we’re waiting that had also been there awhile. They had 1 register open and 2 ladies serving food but it was mostly only 1 cause the other one was working extremely slow. The food might taste good but it’s not worth the wait. They also look like they haven’t cleaned. I have never had to wait so long at the LA, Pasadena, or El Monte locations and they definitely get a lot more customers than the Long Beach location.

The food here is as always, very good. I wanted to write a review though about the service. I usually order a lot of food here with very specific requirements. Sometimes the servers get those wrong. But in this particular instance, I would like to highlight the exceptional service of our server, Isabel Mendez. She looked at my order, asked me how I wanted it and made sure to go through each taco and burrito with the toppings I wanted. Not only that, she was kind, and she made efforts to make sure we had enough napkins, and that our food was not wrapped in a way where there would be spills. She did all of this with a kindness to her face and a positive attitude. It really made my day. Thank you Isabel.

Honestly so many people say how great this place is but they honestly could do the order and pick up areas better, there is practically no real order line or waiting area. People are just standing there waiting for their number to be called instead of waiting at a table which in turn makes the whole area be crowded when you need to get your items. The tacos I got tasted dry, unflavored and wrong, I don’t like to complain so I still ate them. I wanted to get salsa or even salt but you had to ask for at the handoff area which was way too crowded and people were in a very upset mood and I didn’t want to deal with them being rude or interrupt the people making the food when they were already extremely overwhelmed.

I will first applaud all the ladies behind the counter for doing their absolute best with the least amount of help. There was only 5 of them and each one of them were hustling to prep and crank out orders as efficiently as possible. Tasty food but absolutely not worth the wait. Be warned that it will take 1-1/2 hours to get your food from the time of arrival. It has been 3 years since I visited this location and it is sad to say the speed of service has not improved. Today I decided to give another try and thought 11am on a Sunday should not be bad. The parking lot had only a few cars and the line ended was at the entrance door, which was 8-10 people or orders. I get to the front of the line at noon and am asked to wait while the staff goes to help to prepare orders. It was 12:20pm by the time I got to order, and 12:30pm when I finally walked out the door. They used to have all the taquero spots filled and today there were only 2, with another person tending to the grill, and 1 in the back kitchen, and 2 others taking a break. I cannot say the pandemic affected this location because it was like this even before it happened. I had 20 minutes to observe the operation and saw a handful of folks leave. We definitely will not return to this location. It is like the Raising Cane’s of tacos sans the drive-thru. Keep in mind, King Taco is L.A style Mexican tacos and not to be confused with Tijuana style tacos. Both styles are tasty, but each in a different way.

Absolutely disgusting! The food was so bad! Don't even get me started on the service!! I have eaten at King taco for years but my first time in long Beach and it will be my last!! My horchata was nothing but cinnamon on the bottom of my cup! When I complained they gave no F! I asked for my salsa on the side, they said no problem. When I picked up.the food the refused to give it to me!! My sopes tasted old and were cold!! I don't even want to talk about the tasteless meat they served us!!

Been here maybe twice since it's a convenient location. Food - Tacos and burritos here are the most basic tacos you will get with no special sauce or ingredients. Meat is decent but nothing that's a wow compared to most Mexican restaurants. Service - it's decent. Parking - sucks getting in or out with tight parking spots. Overall place is just like most other Mexican places and probably won't be back.

Super slow service even when it's not the rush hour the line it's always long all the way to the entrance and it will take you 1/2 hr to get your order. This location doesn't have drive thru and doesn't take NFC payments. The meat is good and prices are okay. I like Tacos el Gavilán better because you can grab beans, limes, lemons, chiles asados etc. and the service is way faster but there's no locations in Long Beach.

When in California I always stop at king taco. The food is always freshly made to order. I know I’ve gained weight from eating all the good stuff they have on the menu. Staff is friendly, upbeat and helpful. Location was very clean and they even had a jukebox which personally I think that was cool. Food is reasonably priced despite inflation and customers don’t mind paying as lines are super long especially during the lunch hour rush. I guess the only negative is they don’t offer online ordering like other establishments. Overall I highly recommend it.

I have not been here in years. Don't let the long line scare you. Staff was friendly, waited 12 min for my order to be ready, boom. Tacos were good, not like I remember, but still worth it.

Mayra, the cashier was rude and had short responses. Food is ok. Carne asada is good. Customer service and speed are bad though. They took extremely long for 4 tacos and they called my # before the order was even made. A lady was complaining the pastor meat was raw and the employees were looking at her like if she was crazy. Bad service.

Fantastic product! But long waits in standing lines. Great food , Prices are fair . But the service is poor. Not rude , but inefficient. Their taco truck at the Long Beach Grand Prix is faster with much shorter wait times both for ordering and serving. But it's #27 , so the excellence of their product compensates for the wait.

Best king taco ! The owner is so nice and has a very graceful spirit . The food is always fresh and juicy , the workers are also very kind . They give you how many sauces you want without making it a big deal ! They also are very nice and professional ! This the only king taco I go to I’ve craved this so much in both of my pregnancies lol

Food is good and consistent with flavor and quality. I WOULD GIVE A 5 STAR IF YOU COULD CALL IN YOUR ORDER. GET IN AND OUT. The AREA is NOT to PEOPLE FRIENDLY...

The asada nachos are making me hungry right now and the aguas frescas are so delicious always fresh and if you ask nicely they might give you extra salsa.

They are truly the kings of tacos. The burrito is always delicious, this is not my normal location, they do have a few, but the quality is still excellent. Their burritos are some of the best that i've had and I always go here for a special occasion. If you've not had them, you are missing out.

Everytime I come here Fatima has a fugly attitude. I've mobiled/called in my order 3 different times and she always gives me a hard time. Even the man taking the orders looks at her because she makes it a big deal everytime. On all my encounters with her she's always gave me a difficult time and she's rude about it. Horrible service even when it's empty.

Worst customer service ever. I’ve been going to king taco with my family since I was a little girl and never in my life have I experienced what I experienced today. My boyfriend and I were waiting for our food and did not hear anyone call out our number. One of the guys at the window was calling out a number mumbling you couldn’t understand what he was saying I said I’d wait until they called it again to make sure it wasn’t ours. A couple minutes go by and nothing. Next thing you know the guy from over the counter walks over to where we were at asking for the people with the specific number it was ours so I flagged him down. This man Marcelo Solares came to me yelled at me saying that he’s tired of calling our number and stormed away. This was by far the most embarrassing experience ever I had just paid $60 for food to be yelled at because I couldn’t understand his mumbling over the speaker ?? It doesn’t stop there we were frozen unable to comprehend what had just happened. We walk over to his window which we needed to guess because he didn’t tell us what window to go to and he gets his little microphone to start yelling (this time clear as day) to sarcastically say our number again and ask if the people in the corner could hear him. At this point I wanted a refund I wasn’t even hungry after this. We go to the car and check our order only to see that we were missing items and one of our items had the wrong meat. Never again will I return to this king taco. Marcelo Solares thanks for ruining my night I hope this is not how you regularly treat your paying customers.
