The drinks are super watered down. I ordered a caramel boba and got a cup of straight milk with caramel drizzled on the cup. 5$ the one doing the work had zero customer service skills. Girl with colored hair was super rude.

I have always enjoyed the food and drinks here. Pre-Covid, I was given a "frequent diner" discount card. For obvious reasons, I hadn't been back in a while. I went in today with a craving for a Peach Green Milk Tea with Boba and was excited to get 10% off with my card. The team there acted like they had never seen this card before, asked if I had the correct place... I did, it was listed on the card with their location and phone number. They questioned me again and refused to give me the discount specified on the card. For what amounted to about $0.50 the refusal made me more confused than anything else. Is the cost of a guest leaving 100% happy versus mildly annoyed and not really wanting to go back worth $0.50? The drink is still as good as I remember... but drinks are good at a lot of other places too...

Cha For Tea was a nice find! Great to get your milk tea fix in addition to grabbing a quick bite. I originally came to only try their chai tea milk tea w/ boba, but I ended up getting their brown sugar boba drink (which did not disappoint) AND trying one of their popular meals: their orange chicken with rice & corn. The dish also came with a small side salad which was a nice addition for the price. It's a perfect little meal that is very filling. The boba was great, with the right amout of softness & sweetness. The staff is helpful and efficient- I've been twice now and each time there was a line but I barely noticed the wait! This spot is worth a visit if you're in the area and you love boba.

best boba ever! the parking can be a little hard at times, but it’s totally worth it. food: get the steamed/crispy dumplings or the crispy chicken! drinks: try the matcha latte, mango green tea, or the black milk tea w brown sugar boba :)

After leaving the nearby optometrist I decided to stop in today for lunch today. Service was ok, I didn't get the warm and fuzzy greeting or interaction that I look for in a business I patronize. I ordered the sweet potato fries (mild Cajun), steamed dumplings, and crispy chicken (mild) to go. The steamed dumplings were a little too watery but I was hungry and ate them nonetheless. The fries and chicken were tasty! I also ordered a Thai ice tea with no boba and it was ok, definitely not the best ice tea that I've had. What I saw others had liked good, so it's definitely worth a try.

Honestly, I wanted to love this place. It's cutely designed, the prices aren't awful but beyond that, the entire experience was disappointing. The boba was chewy and undercooked, I don't want to have to gnaw my way through a marble in the middle of mush. And my Thai tea? Was gross. Really really gross. It tasted like old socks. Such a bummer.

Boba was amazing but the drinks were extremely sweet for a first time try even when I reduced the sweetness from 5 pumps to 3. Probably would've done 1 pump if I knew. Other than that, everything was tasty! Even the crispy chicken (aka popcorn chicken).

During my visit, Cha For Tea has one option for individuals seeking a Vegan food option. The meal is decent though I feel like I might as well go to a market during the middle of my meal. I appreciate the factoid about frying Tofu potentially contaminating a Vegan product with animal byproducts because the non-Vegan options go in the same fryer that anything that needs frying goes into. Otherwise, it seems like a decent hangout spot/go to spot. Decent customer service.

Been going here as a regular and my experience here from time to time has turned bitter. I don’t know what their deal is or what I did but the moment I order. The cashier would start gossiping and I would meet with disrespect. Service is terrible. They would always have someone else take my order and give me the same attitude. That’s some childish behaviors. They need to do better!

Went in to order. I only had cash. $100 bill. They do not accept $100 bills. Don't know why a business would turn down hard cash but they don't accept $100. I was probably going to spend most of it on my order anyway. Oh well. Saved me some cash.

Cha for Tea is our favorite place to have our fill of tea. They offer a variety of teas that are sweet and savory. Their Mango Green Tea is refreshing and sweet. The staff is so friendly, especially Jeffrey, he's kind and always asks how our day is going.

I go here all the time and usually everyone is nice, but today two of the girls who have black hair behind the counter were really incredibly rude for no reason? Really wish i could take back my tip tbh.

what a bummer! this place has such good reviews, but the thai tea i got was horrendous. it tasted like dirty water. no idea how that was even accomplished. i had to go to a thai restaurant and buy a real thai tea to cleanse my palate

Cha for tea is usually a 5 star restaurant, with amazing popcorn chicken and tasteful sauce. This visit, the chicken was not crispy as per usual and the sauce was less flavorful. A worker with a pink sweater and brown hair was a great server w/ a happy attitude. Overall disappointed with the quality of the chicken, but I will continue to come here as I have been over the past 4 years.

When a doordash driver didn’t pick up my whole order and refused to turn around to pick up my food, the ladies at Cha were still so helpful. I drove 15 minutes to see if my meal was still there and thankfully it was. And to think they were apologizing to me for the driver’s rudeness! When the doordash order was initially placed, someone even called to verify my dairy allergy and help me find a tea that worked. They are so kind and seem to actually care. Cha For Tea for the win.

Cha for Tea is a five-star boba haven! Impeccable flavors, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere make it the ultimate spot for delightful tea and chewy boba pearls. You won't find better!

I always get either the Mango Green Tea or Peach Passion Green tea, and the popcorn chicken and it tastes great every single time! The drinks are a bit on the sweeter side for sure so definitely adjust sugar if you don’t like sweet drinks. The service is always quick, and the team is friendly as well. The only issue I had was the confusion about where you pick up your food. I heard my name called twice and both times I went immediately to the normal pick up counter, but it wasn’t there. I even asked if it was ready and they said no. I don’t mind waiting at all, but by the third time they called my name, it still wasn’t at the counter and I asked a second time. It was frustrating and confusing to hear “oh yeah they called your name a while ago, you pick it up over there [the register]”, especially when I saw team members personally handing out food orders or other customers picking it up at the normal counter. The only suggestion I have is to let customers know that after you order food in-store (via a sign or verbally at the register), where you should pick it up, especially if it’s not the normal counter.

A great surprise. Strip mall location for great food. Best Boba rea ever, with soy milk. Great and tasty food.

Absolutely love Cha for Tea! Even though it's a little ways away from where I live, I always find myself making the trip for my favorite Mango Cooler with boba. The staff is wonderful and even makes an effort to remember regulars, which makes it feel like a small town place in a far too large city. Would definitely recommend, plus they just opened up the indoor seating!

Got the medium almond milk tea, 1 pump of sweetness, with boba, and it was really good!! I should’ve gotten a large 😩

This Cha For Tea has been awarded as the Best Boba Place in Long Beach, California by the Long Beach Post, Best of Long Beach Readers' Choice. My most favorite drink is their Mango Green Tea, which is a must-have item on the menu.

This is my all-time favorite boba shop in town, hands down! But when I went 3 wks ago, I didn't expect my boba to be off this time around. Every time I've had cha for tea, it's always been superb! I voiced my concerns and was glad to hear the manager did a taste test himself, and his honest opinion was what won me over! He totally agreed with me! I thought his response was a true testament of customer service. I will continue to support their business! And told me rest assured that they'll be making a new correct batch of quality boba pearls. In exchange for my mishap, he replaced my order at a later time free of charge!

5 for drinks and boba (haven't tried food enough to rate it). My favorite is the honey green milk tea. Price is reasonable. And the employees are efficient in handling both pick up and walk in orders.

My Thai tea was good until I was chewing my boba and discovered two pieces of plastic in the boba after they stabbed my mouth. One of the pieces is pictured here.

The boba texture is definitely top notch, green tea milk is my favorite, hopefully they will have more items on the menu

I don’t get all the hype. I ordered their mango green tea but all I could taste was sugar. No tea flavor. Three stars because the boba were really fresh and soft and the service is super fast. But they need to lower their standard sugar level.
