Have heard about this place for years so had to try it when I come to the States. Food was superb in all ways. And very friendly and policy staff. Never had chicken like it before. 5 stars for sure 👍👍

Roscoe’s is an LA landmark and a tourist stop. The restaurant is dated, the service was friendly and laid back, the food was delivered quickly. The food was tasty, portions were good sized. The food is pricey $30 a person. The restrooms could use some work; Free Free Parking a plus; Safe neighborhood for lunch. It is an experience to have when in LA, California .

My husband and I ate here on a recent quick weekend getaway to Long Beach and LOVED IT!! While it may not be the fanciest joint in town, the food is delicious and had us wanting to come back every day! While we're west coasters now, we lived in the South (North Carolina) for several years and aren't strangers to chicken and waffles. I've also eaten at Willie Mae's in New Orleans which has arguably the best fried chicken in the world and this chicken (and these waffles) gave any I've ever had a run for their money! The service was fast and friendly and the price was reasonable. I ordered the Carol C. Special with a side salad and a biscuit (which was plenty for me) and my husband order the Scoe's with a side of grits which ended up being slightly more than he could eat. The salad, grits and biscuit were good, but definitely didn't hold a candle to the chicken & waffles. I was really surprised that they were this good coming from a chain, but I speak truth! I can definitely recommend!

Stopped in today with my brothers after we picked up our bib for Sunday’s Long Beach Half Marathon. It’s been a while since we last dropped in for food and I was happy to see that it has not changed a bit. The service was great, promptly seated and served, and the food was excellent. The restroom was also very clean and well maintained, considering how busy they get. We both ordered Herbs Special with mixed meat. I had the sunset (lemonade with fruit punch) while my brother had the sunrise (lemonade with orange juice). Total for both of us came out to $100, but that’s because we also ordered a meal to go for my sister in law that is preggo. Portions and quality of the food is great, so definitely worth it. We were lucky and found plenty of parking on the street (right in front!). There is also a dedicated wrap around lot and one across the street.

It's been years since we've eaten at a Roscoe's so we decided to brave the crowds for a re-acquaintance. The wait was over 30 minutes long to be seated but justified. Many people come here for their legit fried chicken fix on the weekend and the weekend we came was no different. The food was definitely worth the wait! The chicken was lightly battered, perfectly seasoned, and fried. They were not dripping in grease. The waffles were humongous and tasty, but not crispy enough for my hubby's liking. The syrup tied it all together. We decided to order the gizzards and liver too, and they weren't bad at all. Overall, it was a great experience.

Pretty sure that there is a law on the books that requires you to hit up a Roscoe's for the first time if you are within 1/2 a mile of one. The food was delicious! Even the vegetarian found lots of food to eat. Great service and outstanding atmosphere. If you ask nicely, they might even hook you up with a couple of free stickers.

I spent over $100 and to be honest the food was just okay. I ordered the banana pudding which had old browned pieces of bananas in it. The red velvet cookies were hard and no one liked them. Customer service was nonexistent. I would be a lot more welcoming to any customer but especially if you’re spending over $100. I was excited to try because of all the hype but I was slightly disappointed.

Came for the chicken and stayed for the show. Such a fun night out. Food was great, Scoe's #2 breast and wing. No lines. Great service and ample space. There was a cover for the bar area, but the show was worth it.

Cousin came into town for a visit so decided to take her Roscoe’s for a late dinner. It is clean and have room for any size group and best of all they are open until midnight of Friday night. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and seated quickly. The Menu can be a little overwhelming with a variety of choices, once we made our selection the food came out fresh and super fast. The chicken is hot and crispy, my chicken was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I believe with the experience we had Roscoes will be on the normal rotation of food spots.

Jimmy helped us figure out what we wanted because the whole menu looked so good. Also he has the best customer service ever and he was really cool. The chicken is seasoned so well and the Mac and cheese was so delicious. I can't wait to eat whatever we had left over 😋. We're coming back soon so we can roll out the door again lol

10 for 10. Probably the best Roscoes location compared to the others. Why? Because they have live jazz on certain days. Nothing beats good chicken and waffles and vibing to some soulful sounds. Friendly service and food was amazing. I will be coming again.

Tourist mindset: hit up all the famous spots. In my opinion, I could've bypassed this spot. The wait time was unacceptable and no one was in there. I had to go to the front and ask who our waiter would be bc obviouslythey didn't know we were seated. The food is mediocre to say the least...definitely wasn't worth the price. The greens could've been cut...I mean listen, it was ok. Nothing exciting. I expected more, but it was a NO for me and I know good food, I was born and raised in Mississippi. This wasn't it. The customer service could've been better too.

First time, so we kept it simple and ordered chicken & waffles. We were not disappointed. I enjoyed the crunchy fried chicken (I think he enjoyed it too) & my husband enjoyed the waffles (I wanted more syrup just because I like lots of syrup). Honestly the best food we had this trip to CA.

My family and I enjoyed our meal. Clean restaurant. Available parking in front. Friendly , respectful, and attentive staff. The atmosphere was chill, background music not too loud or obscene. We ordered 3 -Scoe's #1, hot, crispy chicken and flavorful waffles. A generous side of hot, tasty, crisp fries . The total was about $96 including 3 drinks, my favorite is the sunset. The restrooms were clean. Out of the 3 locations we've been too (Hollywood and Pasedena) This ones our favorite.

Roscoe is an absolute must in the Long Beach community. Family-style meals with buttered corn bread, mac to die next to candy yams won't be the only things to give you itis. Try some fried chicken with waffles and witness your sides explode. Soon after, wash it with a large glass of lemonade and a long walk back to the Hyatt to combat those calories.

I have been hearing about Roscoe's since the 90's so this was a must stop while in Long Beach. I have never had a better waffle in my life, the chicken was so good I picked the bones clean, and the collard greens were full of flavor. Make sure you try the original Roscoe's hot sauce it is amazing. I missed our waitresses name but she said she had been working there for like 20 years. You know it's a solid place when someone has been there that long.Price was a little more expensive then I hoped but Don't miss this one fans it's a win for me.

My husband and went here on a beautiful Sunday morning. It was not busy and our server was quick. The chicken breast that came with my meal was good, but thats where the fun ends. We wanted to love this place sooo bad because of the hype. Our waffles were thin and soggy, eggs were overcooked, and the chicken sausage was nothing special. We got a side of mac for 7.50 and it was was oily and chunky. $4.25 for a cup of black coffee! 100% disappointed to have paid almost $60 for sad. Driving home hungry. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can see why this place has so many visitors and reviews! Their waffles were perfectly soft and fluffy with a small hint of cinnamon. I normally don't like cinnamon, but these waffles were delicious. I dipped them into the gravy and it was heaven. I tried their house of chicken and waffles pepper sauce on my chicken and it was very vinegary and actually spicy!! I'm a huge spice person so I was pleasantly surprised by how spicy it was. Their chicken was also piping hot. I wish I was more hungry so I could have eaten more of their gravy because it was so darn delicious!! I don't know the parking situation here because I walked over, but I think there is a parking structure near it. They do a surcharge for all credit card purchases and they only accept credit cards with a chip. They also do not split checks.

The food was tasty and vibe was cool. After 730 or 8 they have an open bar, but any purchased drinks are placed on a separate ticket from the main dining experience and must be paid separately.

We went to Long Beach to invite my husband his first time to this legendary restaurant! The food was very good in my opinion but o surprise I found a metal part stick in the chicken before my husband almost eat it! I couldn’t believe it. This Cost them my 3 stars! The waitress apologized and they took off one meal from the check. Of course I know was a mistake coming from the kitchen but guys be careful next time somebody can get hurt! Next time I will return and eat again! There!! I hope not to find another metal! In my meal!

Delicious, fresh, hot food! I got the Obama's special, a classic. Great location for our first time eating at Roscoe's. Clean bathrooms and very friendly staff. Will be returning whenever I'm in town.

What can I say, whenever visiting Long Beach, one of our goals was to check out Roscoes for their chicken 'n waffles and that's exactly what we did. It was a pretty large establishment and quite dated, but, we went for the food and not the ambience. Our order came pretty quick and it the chicken was moist and quite oily, and the waffles were more crunchy than I would have liked. But all in all it wasn't all that bad. I would have done 3.5 stars, but since there aren't half stars, I rounded up because of it's history.

Good comfort food that touches the soul! And chicken & Waffles is the perfect combination in my book. Nice soft waffles and crispy hot fried chicken. Delicious!
