Love Happy Cow Kitchen! I recently moved to this part of Long Beach and love that I have a little gem of a place to walk to and enjoy a great cup of coffee and mouthwatering choices of so many pastries, quiches, etc. I’m making my way down the list, wanna try everything! So far, fresh, delicious, tasty! A long walk afterwards helps me justify the sweets! The owner is gracious, a great conversationalist, and appreciative of your business. She’s proud of her restaurant, and rightfully so!

I visited Happy Cow Kitchen with my daughter two weeks ago. The place is small but very nice, and the service is very good. The food there was excellent on all counts. We had the kisch with mushrooms and cheese, which was very delicious; some type of pastry with cheese and spinach, also very good; and we had coffee there, which was quite good. The price was a little high, but it was worth it. I recommend checking out this place to everyone.

First time there and the friendly lady gave us the run down of the items. Super nice and the pastries were definitely worth the wait.

What an incredible local gem - if you're lucky enough to find yourself there during the limited open hours, you'll have an incredible cookie experience. During the week they are baking for restaurants, on the weekend you can stop in and bliss out on a sugar high. This is the craft work that can only come from a small local business who has grown into figuring out the right balances of sugar, flour, skills, freedom, and living life. The cookies, are large, chewy, unique and delicious. If you talk to the owners, you'll hear their perspectives of chefs instead of bakers. And then when you chomp the pastries, you'll recognize this training translate in the taste of their baking. Obviously, my new favorite place. Goes well with coffee. Yum.

This place is AMAZING!!! The pastries and desserts are truly to die for. My personal favorite is the chocolate and orange marmalade croissant. But if Claudette has made any sort of cheesecake that day you HAVE to go for that. Everything Claudette makes is amazing. And you can tell she absolutely loves her job because she really values her customers. She remembers her regulars and is always happy to strike up conversation with new friends. My fiancé and I go here almost every week and we will continue to do so until we are physically incapable.

A true gem of Long Beach. Claudette is amazing at baking anything and everything, the weekly specials and variety is amazing and Claudette is the nicest and kindest person! Definitely make the trip and get a Chocolate and Marmalade Croissant or any cake! It's the best

I've been here before about 6 months ago because I love to support small local business and everything was great. But the last two occasions have been very disappointing. The cream in the cream horn was slightly sour and the pastry very dry. I'm afraid it seemed to be a little stale. At the time I thought I may have caught these guys on an off day, so I gave them another chance and tried the quiche but it was obviously not as fresh as you would expect. So I won't be back, sorry.

Such a cute spot and amazing energy. I had one of the gluten free vegan cookies and it was EPIC. The banana walnut cookie tasted like banana bread in a cookie. Apparently all the other gluten free things had sold out when we got there 30 min before closing, but they had lots of other regular and vegan options left. I will definitely be coming back!

I love this place so much!!! But don't tell anyone, it's already too busy! She's been open only a few months but the word has spread around the neighborhood and locals make a point of stopping by every weekend to see what delicious, perfectly textured pastries and sandwiches are waiting for us! Truly, you can feel the love in the food here.
