Really great cozy place with chill environment and service. Good food too. Gotta try the egg and cheese croissant. Heavy atmosphere on the "library" section. Felt uncomfortable to talk. But ot was separated thank God. 🤫

perfect place to work remotely for a bit on my roadtrip! plenty of parking nearby and dog friendly inside as well, so my pup could sit with me! I enjoyed the croissant breakfast sandwich too!

Cute coffee shop with breakfast sandwiches and paninis. Also lots of desserts that looked delicious but I didn't try. I had the egg and cheese croissant sandwich that was really good. The place is charming with lots of antiques and books to read. You can also bring your laptop and sit in a cozy corner. Atmosphere and environment is awesome, do come and visit. Finding parking can be tough however.

A super cute/cool cafe. Pastries and coffee were awesome and the ambiance was terrific. It lives up to its name.

Such a cool coffee house! Lots of comfy seating, tables of all sizes, a few small tables outside and wifi. I just had a mug of coffee for $2, refills are .75 cents. Definitely coming back to study/bring friends. I only wish the had an unlimited option for the drip coffee, like some of my other favorite shops.

Honestly, we expected so much better. Walking in, the vibes were good. Friendly faces, good people, cozy environment... But that's about where it ended. After we ordered, her London Fog came out with the wrong milk, wrong consistency, and overall tasted horrible. I got an oat milk cappuccino which was very, very wet. On top of that, the strawberry croissant was still doughy and inedible, and the carrot cake while tasting good, was basically as dense and dry as a granola bar. Overall, for the staple of Long Beach, it was a massive disappointment.

This used to be my go to coffee place and favorite stop for cheesecake but their variety and quality have taken a massive downturn. The time before last the cheesecake was stale. This time it was actually spoiled. It shows they aren't managing food quality and following proper food handling and storage protocols. Have your coffee if you want, but I don't recommend any of their perishable food. I won't be back.

Been here several times and have always had great service. Plenty of seating for laptop work or chatting with friends. Plenty of great desserts to choose from. Recently got a section of pound cake, it was perfect. The coffee is amazing and they have different kinds of milk to choose from (2%, whole, almond, etc). Very helpful. Best thing is the hours. They close at 12a.m.!

There was one woman behind the counter and she was lovely. Offered to help as I was overwhelmed with all the wonderful food options. Total second wave coffee and not bad for that "generation". Prices were modest on drinks and food. Atmosphere was productive; good for work or a date spot. No issues with the internet which made my life easier as I stopped in to do work. If I'm back in the LB I'll definitely be checking this spot again.

Great location, great atmosphere, awesome customer service. The manager and employees are super nice and welcoming. I feel like I could eat and study in here peacefully without feeling like I am getting edged out of my seat by any workers. They've got comfortable chairs do, major plus. The lighting in the shop is also perfect--there are some areas that are dimly lit for when I wanna be emo, while some other areas have sunlight for when I want to be a normal person. All around a great place.

Such a cute and cozy coffee shop! They have tons of seating, free Wi-Fi, great coffee with several flavors, and bakery/deli goodies. Coffee/food: 7/10 So to be fair I only tried the coconut latte with milk substitute and the strawberry cheesecake (I was prepared for the consequences of consuming dairy that day). The coffee was pretty darn good! It didn’t come out piping hot so it cooled down pretty fast, but I finished it quickly enough to avoid it getting too cold. I think they could be just a bit more generous with the flavor, but the hint of coconut was noticeable enough to enjoy it. The cheesecake itself was decent, but the strawberry compote on top was not. Part of me thinks it was ruined from sitting in their fridge without being covered. What people don’t always realize is food dries out when left uncovered in a refrigeration system and it can also absorb smells/tastes of other uncovered foods that share the refrigerator space. Not sure if this is why it came out so bad, or maybe it’s just my taste buds. Service: 10/10 Top notch! The cashier was super patient, polite, knowledgeable of the menu and allowed me to custom make my coconut latte because I don’t like mocha (the only coconut option I saw was a mocha based coffee). She was the only person I interacted with so that’s unfortunately the only comment I can provide. Environment/ambiance: 9/10 Super cozy! Lots of cushioned seats, even a couch, tables and chairs! The cushioned seats look like they could use some cleaning, but I don’t easily get grossed out and I sat on the couch without an issue. Dim lighting for a calming atmosphere but it definitely made me sleepy! I was only there for 45-mins trying to get some work done, but the late night and dim lights got me so sleepy that I decided to call it quits and head out. Next time I’m going to make my latte extra strong. Overall this is such a cute and comfy coffee shop to chat with friends and definitely a go-to study spot. I will be back for sure.

First thing I noticed about this was the atmosphere. It has a very artsy and laid back vibe to it. Personally I enjoyed my time there. The coffee was delicious and they had very delicious looking pastries. I would totally go back!

Ambience on point. Very quiet on a Sunday, but packed with people.

Atmosphere is nice, the bathroom situation isn’t great. They have a key but it leads to people having to wait either by the restroom or for the key which can be confusing. Patrons put there stuff down then get in line. When we finally got our tea/coffee is was difficult to find a spot. I suggest asking patrons to order first. My iced tea taste like perfume but that was okay too. Cute vibe though…

Cool eclectic coffeehouse with bookshelves and lots of decorative wall art. The coffee is pretty decent and the music isn't too loud but still enjoyable. The owner seems nice and all around I had a good experience there. I love the comfy chairs and antique wooden tables. Only downsides... No bagels, which is not really my thing but my girlfriend likes them. I will add though that they offer croissants, breakfast sandwiches, and grape leaves which is my favorite! Sometimes it's hard to find a seat despite having an extra room to accommodate customers, because it seems to be a very popular spot! The owner seems very nice as well. I hope they stay in business a long time because they are everything I look for in a coffee shop and they are open til 11 pm, which is awesome!

Went for the first time yesterday and loved it! Very cozy, multiple chair/table options to pick from, tons of others working/studying. Ambience is on the darker side so you’re able to focus more and not get overstimulated by brightness. Yummy coffee and food. I was able to have a productive evening while enjoying a iced latte, banana cheesecake (yum!), and egg cheese croissant. I really appreciate the music not being so loud that you can’t talk or take calls. Which is often the problem at other coffee shops. I spent about $20 for a nice meal and really enjoyed the mix of all ages and types of people just doing their thing: meeting friends, studying, doing homework, working, reading, or just grabbing some yummy food. So glad my friend recommended it to me! Came back a few days later and had the pecan pie!

Mind you that I am rating this a 5 purely on nostalgia. My friends and I used to hang out here every week after meetings at the Center back in the 90's. Broadway looked so different back then. Looking at the pictures I can see all the places we sat. And then we would go next door to the pizza place and split some cheese fries. We were teens and we were free then. I love it!

One of the most unique and delicious coffee shops in Long Beach. Maybe anywhere? It’s an experience. You have to check it out yourself. If you like dessert coffee the heath bar coffee is one of my favorites. It’s like you step inside a coffee shop on the game animal crossing, almost therapeutic. Highly recommend as a place to study/work.

Love the vibe - think Central Perk. - somewhat easy parking - outlets everywhere - coffee could be better (tastes like diner coffee) - staff is super sweet and welcoming - plenty of space of working/studying/reading - serves hot and cold food - cozy

Local coffee shop that's been popular for decades! Love getting Italian sofas here after walking the pup and hanging outside at one of the many tables. Baristas and staff are helpful and suggestive of drinks and local events are hosted regularly. Come by, drop in and get a taste of Long Beach!

Love the atmosphere, the vibe and the people. The ladies that work behind the counter are very friendly and inviting. Sadly the last few times I've been in I've noticed cockroaches. Ive also heard a few other long term customers complaining as well. This last time one ended up crawling on my date. I've also seen quite a few dead ones around the ground and bookshelves. I'm hoping they get it under control because I really LOVE this place .... for now I'll stick to my coffee and not the food until I see that they've got it under control. Still love it so much I haven't made the switch to another shop as I come in about 4 times a week.

Excellent staff and delicous coffee, this place has such a charming atmosphere, unique stop in Long Beach worth visitng if you are in town traveling. Also A+ casual date spot for everyone!

We got a drip coffee, an iced latte, a lemon bar and a lemon Bundt cake. The cakes were okay while the coffees tasted burnt. You may like that, I thought it was unenjoyable. Atmosphere is good & quirky, though the service was relatively unfriendly.

Wow, I loved this place. Warm atmosphere, lots of available seating. They have a wide selection of coffee and pastries. The barista helping me was very sweet and helped me decide on my drink. Another difference from other local shops is that the coffee tastes GREAT

Stopped here to use the restroom and decided to try the bacon egg and cheese croissant that someone said was the best they had in their life in a review. I'm sorry to say that it was a pretty average. Maybe my expectations were too high but I've made better. Ordered a Mexican mocha as well and unfortunately it was also underwhelming compared to my local shop. Maybe I caught this place on a bad day so I may give it another try when I'm next in town. But I will admit, the interior is nice and I'm sure the locals enjoy it very much as a place to relax and study.
