My favorite coffee shop if I’m in the area. You know the coffee is quality when they roast their own beans. Love the plants and dark interior. Definitely pick up some beans to take back home :)

I very much enjoyed both the coffee and staff at Common Room Roasters. The customer service was wonderful, I could tell that Grayson (sp?) genuinely enjoyed interacting with the guests. I have been a loyal patron for years dating back to when they opened in Newport Beach and it is no surprise to see this place gaining such a loyal following. The coffee was good and I particularly enjoyed the long black. The space is fantastic and lends itself to being able to enjoy your drink. Bravo Ed and team, wonderful job!

Very nice interior in other reviews pictures are not available for visitors. It’s just decoration behind the glass. No place to sit down and drink your coffee. Porcelain cups are not available for customers only cheap paper cups, run out of pastries at 11am on Tuesday. Rude barista. Not clean tables and floor. Guys, are you don’t care about your business at all?!?! Looks like you don’t want us to spend more in your place. Okay. Coffee is good. Cafe is horrible.

The coffee was great. I had a pull-over. They used a machine pouring into a Kalitta brewer instead of hand-pulled which was slightly disappointing to me. I was hoping to see/taste the skill of the staff. But the cup tasted quite smooth. The environment is very nice and easy-going. Plenty of space inside and outside for sitting. The coffee was served in a small Asian-style tea cup and a small carafe on a bamboo plate with a small card describing the coffee bean you are tasting. Very elegant!

My favorite coffee shop in all of OC. Every time I come I’m greeted with a smile and amazing suggestions. Interior has such a vibe and on the weekends there’s a DJ. Everything is perfect about Common Room Roasters. Worth the hour drive from DTLA.

I truly enjoyed their iced latte and chocolate cookie. They are “coffee specialist” and they really are. Their espresso was so smooth I think I found my new favorite roaster👍 I usually buy green beans and roast my coffee myself but this place is seriously awesome. I saw some people complaining about seating etc but this isn’t your typical coffee shop of “I’m here to study for whole day with a cup of coffee”. You go there and enjoy your coffee.

European vibe and fabulous coffee. The barista was so sweet and helpful. Nitro cold brew has a rich and deep flavor. Cappuccino with oat milk was creamy and smooth. Looking forward to the fresh ground coffee in my French press.

Seriously this is one of my most favorite spots on earth. I love walking in, the fragrance of coffee beans filling the atmosphere. What I have experience knowing Jesus is what this place did to my coffee experience, I didn't know why people loved coffee so much until I tried my first Mocha, my second Latte, a capuccino and flat white at CRR. Now I believe, now I wont take anything less and if I do I know the difference. This place is Beyond awesome and exquisite, 10 stars. The baristas are amazing, I almost can't take so much niceness.

Right across from Orizaba Park Community Center. Off of Obispo Street tho! In several visits, I have tried Chocolate Croissant, also simple lightly sugared& citrus zested Croissant Curl , and a generous slice of Quiche. Not just good but GREAT! My off menu board hot Mocha ( half-calf/ easy chocolate) also delicious: can taste the smooth coffee blend. With in view from inside & outside seats, a roomy interior with a chance to view roasting room, bathrooms, water... what more could you want from a COFFEE break? Thank you Common Room! Parking is easy tho' I walked a few blocks from a car repair shop the first day I found you. And really you are only 8 blocks from where I am house-sitting: I'll be back!

Overall the coffee is really good if you actually enjoy the taste of coffee, but if you like the overly sweet coffee drinks then this may not be your place. Coffee: 9/10 I got the vanilla latte and it came out good! It was pretty earthy which I didn’t mind, but isn’t something I particularly enjoy when drinking coffee. I opted to pay extra for the macadamia nut milk since I’ve never tried it, so this may have provided the different flavor to the coffee I wasn’t expecting. Overall I still enjoyed the coffee ☕️ Service: 10/10 The gentleman working here today was very polite and patient, he didn’t seem to mind helping me choose an item since I haven’t been here before. My coffee was made fairly quickly and I didn’t have to wait long at all. Ambiance: 10/10 Not a lot of seating, but enjoy for a small crowd. Some of the chairs are very low to the ground, so not good for people with bad knees. But they have three tall chairs and outside seating that would work for people. Very clean and quaint, they also have some coffee related goods for sale. The only thing that will keep me from coming back is the price. It’s only one size of drinks and mine cost $6.50 and is pretty small. I hate to complain because I know small businesses don’t have the luxury of lowering their prices. The quality of the coffee and service will make me consider coming back when I want a real cup of coffee over the overly-extra drinks at other establishments.

Great, and smooth tasting coffee ☕️!!!!!!!!!!!’ I especially enjoy the laid back atmosphere in the cafe, and the exceptionally friendly service. I highly recommend this as a favorite coffee shop.

Amazing Vanilla hot lattes, they are smooth and not overly sweet. I've tried their iced vanilla latte and personally not their best drink. I love the atmosphere of the shop and enjoy their plant pop-ups. Will def be coming here at least once a week. My husband enjoyed his coffee so much he didnt want to brush his teeth afterwards hahah!

One of my favorites shops ever. Solid cappuccino, welcoming environment, knowledgeable baristas, and a good place to learn about coffee! 10/10 recommend.

First time trying CRR, coffee was okay. Coffee was cold and tasted a bit old. We did come at 3:15pm though, and shop closes at 4pm. We ordered 2 house coffees we paid $8.69, I think it's a bit overpriced. Liked the coffee presentation, unique and chic. Enjoyed the unique room decor, and great customer service from barista. Music was a bit too loud.

This place is super cool. Trendy Third Wave Coffee Shop roasting fine coffee locally in house. On point Latte and Americano. Great pastries. Barista was helpful and friendly. Plenty of space inside and outside to sit, hang and get work done. Vibe can be a little noisy. Check this spot out.

A lovely atmosphere with amazing coffee highly recommended and get some beans as well

Coffee of distinct premium quality! The milk and creamer used are premium quality too. They make awesome flat whites! I hold the flat whites I had in Australia and New Zealand as the comparison standard. Flat white is slowly getting popular in the States but too few coffee shops actually make it good. Common Room Roasters is very eco friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. From every little details, you know the company cares for you and the planet and of course, the coffee.

Good cappuccino and latte. Matte black everything interior with lots of (real) plants. It took a while to get our drinks, but maybe it was an off morning.

One of the best speciality coffee places here. Pastries were tasty, coffee amazing and I got some beans which were wonderful as well. Staff are friendly. Small hidden treasure. They got some other collections of cups and coffee stuff to sell. Worth a visit!
