👍👍 Very cute and popping place! The baristas were sweet and worked fast for the amount of customers they had. I got the seasonal iced blueberry latte with almond milk. I was afraid it was going to be too sweet but the flavor was perfect and I could still taste the espresso, which I feel can be overpowe... Very cute and popping place! The baristas were sweet and worked fast for the amount of customers they had. I got the seasonal iced blueberry latte with almond milk. I was afraid it was going to be too sweet but the flavor was perfect and I could still taste the espresso, which I feel can be overpowered in other drinks. Worth checking out and walking around the area too!

I'm sorry to write this, but I have to...I was hoping this place would become my everyday place to work and relax,,, but unfortunately I became shocked in my first experience. They are not friendly, and they talk in a way that they seem not wanting you to sit in their cafe....Sometimes you should smile when you see a first-time customer who is polite and friendly and is willing to buy a coffee from you. I like their cafe and I hope they can be in a better mood if I would come here next time. They have great coffee though.

Wow yum yum Just went here and got a cold brew and avocado toast w/added bacon Soo good they put tons of avocado which is great and I like how the bacon was broken up on top and not just strips. Didn’t even think of that but it makes it way easier to eat! And they don’t skimp on the bacon either. Very friendly staff as well.

Chose this place largely on the fab reviews but we were quite disappointed. The setting is great , nice decor, cosy and just perfect for breakfast with a friend but the service just wasn’t very good. We didn’t find the staff friendly or that welcoming, it seemed like they just didn’t care. Also for 24 dollars for breakfast I would have expected to have my breakfast on an actual plate not in a paper tray. Sadly based on our experience here we wouldn’t return or recommend to colleagues and friends. On a positive note however the coffee was nice and so was the food it was just too difficult to cut avocado on toast with a plastic fork and I don’t believe covid is a valid reason for this.

This place is a hidden gem with great, quality coffee and delicious food! It has a cozy ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating, and great music. The Orange Cardamom Latte is my favorite along with the Matcha Rose Latte! I love that they change out their specialty menu every season with new drinks that are always fun to try! I also really enjoy the sunrise sandwich with a housemade habanero jam and the breakfast burrito. The chimichurri melt is also soo good and unique. Highly recommend this amazing spot!!

Ground Hideout is a lovely spot in Long Beach to get some coffee. It's a great medium space with plenty of space to work or meet with someone. I appreciated that the music wasn't too loud. What really sets Hideout apart is the food items they have. The breakfast burrito is amazing. This all falls under the care of a friendly staff.

The coffee was so good! I also got the biscuit with egg & spinach. It was good but I wish there was more salt and maybe a sauce! Otherwise it was really nice, would come back again!

Decided to grab lunch and a coffee here one day during my lunch break and I wasn't expecting much but I left satisfied. I got the avocado toast with egg on top and an iced mocha. Both were made pretty well and it was so delicious. Will have to come back again.

I went at noonish which was a mistake cuz the top things I wanted were already sold out! I got the lavender matcha latte and it was very tasty. I will go back so I can try some of the breakfast items. There’s not much seating inside but there are some tables and chairs outside as well. They do have a bathroom as well. Make sure you go early!

I had a quick Sunday lunch visit at Ground Hideout Coffee. I had an iced latte and a panini sandwich. Both were decent, nothing spectacular but made a good enough lunch. The downtown coffee shop has a relaxing atmosphere with seatings both inside and outside.

We were from out of town. What I had:. Pumpkin Spice muffin. How was it. Fabulous. Obviously hand baked not factory , it tasted great would have eaten two rich taste and great sweetness. Coffee was rich and I went back for a second. Couldn't reuse my cup, Probably COvid protocol. Wish I didn't have to waste it. Overall great tiny place to have you morning coffee.

Typing this as we are licking our cups because of how good the Heartbreakers Latte was. It featured espresso, dark chocolate, raspberry syrup, dried berries garnish, and definitely a lot of love. We also got the last vegan blueberry coffee crumble muffin, wow, no wonder there was only one left. No words. As a vegan I’ve tried many desserts but this takes the lead. We are thankful the server recommended us not to get the pistachio milk because it would have overpowered the drink, which was kind for him to suggest :-) I always look for coffee shops with creative drinks and delicious treats (vegan friendly too) and this checks all the boxes! 11/10 recommend <3 from two happy and full customers

This is my favorite coffee shop in all of Long Beach. They have seasonal coffees, great fresh breakfast/lunch items, pastries w/ vegan options. Plus the family that runs the business is so kind and welcoming. I bring all my out of town guests here. Highly recommend!

Wow. This family owned coffee shop is the best in long beach. The atmosphere is inviting, the seasonal lattes are interesting and flavorful, and the pastries are quite varied and delicious. I am eager to try their breakfast burritos next, as they have a decent food menu.

We got the turkey panini, sunrise sandwich, an iced mocha, and the strawberry fizz. It was all sooooo delicious, the habanero jam in the sunrise was the best I’ve ever had. We sat outside at a cute table and they had very relaxing piano music and the street is pretty quiet. Very nice all around.

Food is good - service is terrible. Was told I could make a substitution, and the food was served without the substitution. I asked for them to make me the sandwich with the substitution and said they couldn't swap it out. One claimed they can't swap because it would be a difference in cost. Another claimed it would affect the artistic integrity of the sandwich. They didn't offer a solution, and just offered me a refund. If you're particular about your food, want good service, or a welcoming atmosphere, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Some of the best coffee in Long Beach and owned by the kindest and most hardworking family. Every single drink is delicious and crafted meticulously. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The biscuits and burritos are also incredible! I recommend the drip coffee or pour over, rose matcha, espresso and tonic, or the orange cardamom latte.

Good food, nice coffee by international standards (which is great coffee by USA standards), really good vibes and pleasant staff. My review absolutely has to lose a star due simply to the plastic cutlery ☹️. The metal tray and paper on which the food was served was novel and did not significantly detract from the dish but that plastic knife, spoon and fork made eating the meal feel like I was at an impromptu picnic. I kind of wanted to take away two stars for this reason but that seemed harsh given the attention that they have clearly given the menu and the atmosphere. Also, the music was a touch too loud inside to enjoy conversation. Edit: The plastic cutlery is apparently due to the pandemic however I will keep my rating for not but promise that I'll reassess in the next month or two.
