My mom & dad came here often. It was one of their regular places. They both passed away last year. I recently moved to town & went in with a friend to see if it could become one of my places too. I thoroughly enjoyed my hot pastrami sandwich (through some tears, truth be told), and we splurged on some "death by chocolate" mousse! I also purchased a birthday cupcake for a friend, who was very pleased! I will totally be back. Thank you!

We are creatures of habit. I started going to Grounds after having a business meeting there - we had lunch and the entire store was a vibe. It truly feels like Grounds is a place for the community!!! I now go to grounds bakery often before frisbee golfing at El Dorado Park and because of the Pandemic, I began to phone in my small and short order so I could be in and out! And I'm so glad I phone in because I learned someone else amazing out them! One of the things that I have come to love about Grounds is their personable and friendly care for their customers. Upon ordering on the phone, they know my name and that means a lot to me! Their food is fresh, their spread is delicious, and their coffee is great. I hope to grow old continuing to order from Grounds and to pass on the tradition of eating their food before frolfing to my children!!

I was visiting Mom for the holiday. I hadn't seen her since June. She loves to go to lunch at several little cafes around town. Two of them are closed on Mondays so we took a chance on Grounds. The person outside breaking down tables was super snarky. She acted put upon and like we were stupid because didn't realize they were closing an hour early for Labor Day. It seemed like she was mad to be working on a holiday at all. I felt bad/embarrassed because I worked in restaurants when I was a young person. It sucks to work on holidays when everyone else is at the beach or having barbecues. And I try not to be a customer that arrives right before closing because I know that the faster the staff can clean the kitchen and dining room, the sooner they can go have fun. Mom and I got there about 1:25-ish so we weren't being complete jerks. We ordered sandwiches, chips, and pastries for take out. The cashier was friendly. I loved the her pink mermaid hair. It suits her perfectly. The manager was funny and joked with Mom. Mom is pushing 92, so I'm always grateful when servers and retail folks are kind and patient with her. The food was prepared quickly and correctly and we were on our way. Yay! At home, we devoured the sandwiches, chips, and sodas. It was nearly 2 p.m. and we didn't realize how hungry we were. The sandwiches were yummy. They're just like the sandwiches you wish you could make for yourself at home but you don't want to keep the squaw bread, produce and condiments on hand all the time. The pastries we had the following morning with our coffee were really good too. The chocolate croissant is EXTRA special because it's not all bread like most places serve and has a dusting of happy powdered sugar. 😊 RECOMMEND

12/11 update The flavored coffee has changed and it’s absolutely terrible. I thought on my last visit it was a fluke but today it is the same. I used to love it. I will not go back to grounds. Coffee was a big reason I went. This is very sad. It’s been a part of my routine 2-3 x per week for many many years. Pervious review. My favorite bagel in the world.

Great selection of pastries and coffee. Skillet meals were not bad.

Everything tasted very mediocre and kind of artificial. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but maybe it’s powdered eggs in the breakfast sandwiches. At least it’s pretty roomy, lots of tables and booths to sit at. I just have no need or desire to go back unless I happen to be nearby for lunch I might try it. The breakfast was not it though.

Fresh food in a cafeteria type setting. Sandwiches, soup, salads, and more. The food is good. Excellent casual breakfast or lunch spot.

Yes, I enjoy this coffee, muffins, cupcakes, sandwich, the staff is very nice, inside and outside very clean, food is very good, My Son know I like different coffee ☕ shop, so make sure you go by 🤗, enjoy

I’ve been coming here for years and it’s my favorite sandwich shop! Their scones sell out so fast, but they’re amazing!

The bagels are the best I’ve ever had. My kids love them too. This is our go-to place whenever we want a good sandwich or bagel.

I’ve been coming to grounds for many years. Lately, when ordering sandwiches I’ve notice they have not been as good as they have been in the past. Today I ordered a tuna melt. It was like they toasted the bread then put the cheese and tuna on the bread after it was toasted. The tuna was cold and the cheese was not melted. Other sandwiches I’ve had in the past were either dry or just plain bland. Also, their soups tend to be very watery with mostly broth. I do still enjoy their coffee’s and baked goods.

I went before noon on Saturday. People looked working busy. It took about 10~15 minutes to get after ordered. Pick up order online maybe better. Salmon cream cheese bagle, some bagles and muffins I got. Toasted bagle tastes good.

Great bread, sandwich was delicious. I’d skip the sweets though, they weren’t very good in my opinion.

Been coming to this place for about 12 years. Food is still great but they can't seem to keep flavored coffee outta the other varieties. No matter what coffee you select, you get hazlenut. This was rarely (if ever) an issue when I first started coming here. Now, the coffee is usually fouled up and it's AWFUL. The formerly great coffee is one of the reasons we come here.

This place has a great selection of bagels and goodies. Would recommend the layered bar. It was delicious!! Very relaxed atmosphere and the staff was we treat you like family kinda nice 😍🥰

Took 2yo granddaughter to Grounds for 1:1 time. Did the same for other grandkids when they were younger and I was babysitting them.

I had the ham and cheese omelette sandwich on a bacon and cheese bagel. Very good, and at a very reasonable price. I was very happy with my visit here. UPDATE! They now have skillets and they are GOOD!

I just love this cafe! The atmosphere is warm and friendly. People meet their friends there for good food and conversation. You can also feel very comfortable on your own. The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. It just has a great vibe to it! YOu leave feeling relaxed and satisfied!

I've driven by Grounds for years and have always wanted to try it. Finally got around to it last year when the pandemic started, so while I've only ever done take out, I've gotten to try a good variety of things on their menu and have enjoyed everything I've had so far. The staff are always wearing masks and gloves, and there is hand sanitizer available. Their coffee and lattes are always good, as are the pastries (love the muffins), bagels, sandwiches (the veggie is my fave), and pizza! I love my variety, and this is a great spot for that. What really sets Grounds apart is that not only is the food delish, but service is always friendly as well. I like that you can also order online through their website for pick up.

This place is amazing, stop going to the big chain coffee stores. This cafe provides great food (breakfast& lunch)and plenty of seating areas. Easy parking. I’ll be back with friends and family
