CASH ONLY!! they do have an ATM on site but just wanted to make that clear as it would've been nice to know in my case. this place was hands down one of the best breakfast spots in Long Beach. if the pictures aren't enough i hope this review is. you definitely want to look at their 'daily specials' the omelettes are also top notch. i highly suggest that you go here for breakfast

Egg Heaven is hands down the best breakfast spot in Long Beach! I’m so glad they’re back open. Their omelettes are SO good and breakfast potatoes are the best I’ve had in a long time. The service is excellent! Esperanza is so welcoming and friendly, exactly what I love and need in a local breakfast spot. We will definitely be regulars here!

Definitely my favourite breakfast/coffee shop in Long Beach. Great omelettes, scrambles, and Benedict's, friendly staff, happy customers, nice music, big windows, and really old school LB vibes. And huge portions! Reminds me of a comfy flannel on a cool Sunday morning. This place always helps make the day brighter. (The photo is a split portion!!!)

This is the energy this post Covid world is missing. Caring, kind service, delicious heartfelt food served with a smile. Don't miss the amazing energy from Esperanza and the great food from the cooks. Huevos rancheros, the avocado toast, you can't go wrong with this menu. Can't wait to be back.

OK, I have found my new breakfast spot. Hands down the best place in Long Beach! I dont care where you live in California or the neighboring States, the breakfast burritos alone are worth the Trip! The Salsa is made from scratch daily and is life. Seriously great food and even greater staff! Priced right and family friendly! Love this place!!

A local legend - Egg Heaven has been part of the famous LB breakfast scene since... 1969? After the pandemic I was gutted that they closed up. Luckily they decided to open back up recently and they seem to be doing great business again. I chatted with the waitress and according to her, "The owner wanted to close the restaurant and sell it due to the pandemic. But myself and the main chef wanted to keep it going - so we convinced the owner to tentatively open back up and see if business would come back." And it certainly has come back. It's always got a line out the door on the weekends and plenty of customers inside during the week too.

On a search for a new breakfast spot, my boyfriend and I happened upon this little gem. Quaint, cute, very welcoming staff, and good eats! We've been twice now and have enjoyed everything! The pancakes hit the spot and the breakfast burrito was delicious, full of beans and salsa, avocado and added sausage.

Wow! What a cute little cafe. This actually wasn't our first choice because we didn't know any better! We had gone down to a diner in Belmont Shore but it was way too crowded. Husband said, "let's go back to 4th Street to that place at the corner at Ximeno." "Sure," I said. Best decision of that day. The service was phenomenal. It's run by very few people but they got it all covered. Super friendly too. But that day, I was just not feeling like eggs. (slight hangover from the night before lol) so I ordered the "Built Oatmeal". So good. It was loaded with granola, bananas, raisins, blueberries, brown sugar and whipped butter. The server asked if I wanted some milk with my oatmeal. YES, thank you! This bowl of oats made me feel 100% better! Good on my stomach :) Husband did suggest that I order an egg on the side. So I did, poached. And also a side of squaw toast. It was the best. Simple and perfect. The big chonky squaw bread was toasted and buttered. Excellent! This along with my bowl of oats made me feel 100% better! Good on my stomach :) Husband had the Huevos Rancheros - tortillas, refried beans, tomatoes, two eggs, cheddar cheese, salsa, jalapenos, black olives, green onions, avocado, and sour cream. And served with home style potatoes. He chose corn tortillas over toast. It was the BEST he had ever had! And he's eaten this dish just about everywhere on earth, true story! Don't forget to check out all the art on the walls, counter seatings, ceiling! Pretty cool. I cannot wait for our next visit here, hopefully soon enough!

So happy these guys reopened this long-time spot - and hoping they do well. The food was decent, but not particularly special. It’s a little challenging bc just a few upgrades could really make it terrific without a lot of extra investment for them. Ideas: make your own jam/preserves, buy a good bread from one of the local places, try using some fresh herbs and a little more salt, and maybe put your salsa on plates all the time bc that stuff was really good.

Neighborhood gem, modest corner cafe with free street parking, nice decor, and excellent service. Food was spot on, had the chilaquiles and they were legit and very tasty, coffee was also good, the menu offered plenty of typical breakfast choices but also unique breakfast items, something for everyone. Great little spot, don't miss it if you're in the area and hungry for a first rate start to your day!

First time here, and it was amazing! Great staff, fresh and tasty food, and nice ambience. The waitress was super cool and explained me the foods and drinks. Food was prepared very on-time and in a good manner. I enjoyed the bar table but it was comfortable due to lower height than an actual bar table. I will come back again here!

Truly cannot say enough about this place! Samantha, Esperanza, and especially, Barbara are fabulous. The food was excellent. I ordered scrambled eggs and they were creamy, light and buttery. I know, scrambled eggs aren't gourmet, but they are hard to get right. Lol. The loaded hashbrowns, Barbara's suggestion, was a big hit! My favorite dish. The fresh squeezed orange juice is fantastic. Wow, best oj I've had. I love places that do the simple things right. That's what brings me back and egg heaven deserves 5 stars!

Small beach adjacent breakfast/lunch spot. It was wonderful in every way. The waiting line went quickly, counter seating was comfortable, hostess and waitress were friendly as all get out, food was relatively quick for how packed the place was, food was great, prices were fair, service was exceptional. I'll go back every time I'm in the area. Being around since the 60s, they are doing everything right!

Portions are smallest by 10 or 20 perce.t compared to prior management or owners. Only one piece of toast now, not two and the bread they buy is the cheapest there is which is standard at the corner diners around town. No flavor, probably fructose ingredient in the dough. The house fried potatoes are sadly less flavor, fewer onions and herbs, not prepared as well as old owners. The counter tops are gone. No more 60's news articles to read, the cool ceiling tiles from the contest in the 70's are gone...replaced with ugly tasteless dropped ceiling as found in offices. All the cool art and wall photos, gone. New sound system is improved over the old one but they crank the volume so high, it interferes with normal conversion levels. Service was excellent. And it's clean. Coffee was good.. As before. Pancakes seem as before. Probably won't be returning since it's sad to see an old friend going down like this.

2nd week in a row here. Finding new things to try I have not been disappointed yet. Always full and servers have always been friendly and helpful. Love the 50-60 soundtrack playing here brings back memories.

This place was suggested for it’s rating however the food was bad. The eggs Benedict were a mess and microwaved. The service was poor. Upon arrival no host sat / greeted and sat us we had to see our selves… akward.

So glad this spot has reopened! Best omelette ever! The San Felipe - Ortega chili, cheese, avo, sour cream. Thanks for great service too.

Read about them in an article. If you like eggs, they have various dishes cooked fresh to order. Their service is superb with everyone serving you with a smile and making you feel at home. 5 stars for that. My dish was mid but that was the fiesta scrambled eggs but the French toast with berries and whipped cream was great. I should have gotten the farmers scrambled eggs. Coffee was superb.

I love this place. Soon as you walk in your greeted by the freindly waitress and prompted to take a seat where you would like. The walls are covered with unique artwork and an arry of diffrent decorations that create a wonderfull enviorment upon entering. The food is amazing with a decent price considering the portion you get. The best thing about this place is the at home feeling you get and the quiet relaxed feeling you get while eating there. I would definetly recommend the french toast!! Thanks maggie for a great experience. Cash only !!!

Had a great eggs Benedict from this place. I've come here several times and I'll be back again. There's a lot of great options on the menu. I've had several omelettes, the huevos rancheros, and the eggs Benedict. Never been disappointed.

First time in the area and I was looking for a breakfast spot. There were a bunch of choices but Egg Heaven caught my eye. I grabbed my laptop (so I could work for a bit) and headed over. I ordered a Wanderlust Omelette. It comes with potatoes and toast (I opted for an English muffin). If my potatoes looked burnt it's because I asked for it that way. I added jalapenos to my omelette for a bit of a kick. Everything was delicious, right down to the toast. I also had Jose's Vanilla Coffee...mmm yummy. I was there for about 2 hours. I thought my waitress was going to kick me out but she kept filling my coffee and couldn't be nicer. I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious breakfast! We had the huevos rancheros and yum! So much food it definitely will fill you up! There are many options on the menu, so everyone will find something they like. Friendly service. Parking was challenging but worth the effort.

Very disappointed in my meal. I ordered the burger and was served very old stale hard brrad bun. The meat was soaked in thousand island dressing. The potatoe salad also tasted old. I did not bother to eat the fruit as it dis not looked fresh. I paid $15.00 for a meal i could not eat. I will not be coming back.
