Very nice, spacious indoor mall with well over 100 shops, eateries, and some unique shops, including a fairly large food court. They have a JC Penny's and Macy's as the main department stores, but they have some really cool places like the Escape VR, and Sky Zone, as well as places like Inca Expression. They also have the Chuze Fitness for workouts. There is something for everyone at this mall. Lots of parking, and not super crowded during the weekdays.

Westminster Mall has been renovated and it’s a great experience. All levels of the mall are updated and inviting. It was filled with children enjoying the indoor playgrounds and the fun zones and the arcades. The major stores: Target, Macys and JC Pennys have incredible price mark downs. We bought items at all the stores and restaurants to support these local businesses. There’s a new tavern/ bar that just opened. It looks great and is run by Armando. Hope this bar becomes a meeting place for friends and family. We loved spending time in the mall particularly during a hot day. We kept thinking why aren’t they advertising what a great community- centric mall. It was sad to see places that were empty Hope to spread the word via this post so everyone can stop by and support the mall and vendors. The photos showcase how clean and welcoming the Westminster mall is as a local gem.

One of the biggest shopping mall in Orange county. This place has lots of store like J.C. Penney, Sears, Target, Macy's. Parking area is huge. Crowd is average, that's why I like this place. This mall should increase their hour on Sunday, as most of the people visit this mall on Sunday. I visit this place on regular basis.

I gave it 5 stars because I grew up here. But sadly it is nothing like what I grew up with and it looks like they are getting rid of it.

I like Westminster Mall. It usually has everything I need and if not, it’s right next to Target. 🤣 The crowd is much less than South Coast, which generally makes getting around easier and shopping more convenient. We had our Christmas photos taken at the JCPenney here and it was overall a great experience. The food court is good and has many different options for when you get hungry.

It used to be the place to go on the weekend; now it's all but deserted. Only a handful of businesses remain, including Macy's, JC Penney, Sky Zone, an urban market, GameStop, among maybe 3 or 4 mom and pop retailers. Also Target but now target has closed the gates that lead to the rest of the mall. Some options in the food court, and Luxe Buffet is still open. It's sad to see especially when groups of young teenagers use it as a type of park riding their electric bikes all over without any regard for the few people that still visit

1st time coming here on a Friday at 5pm. This mall seems dead. There are about a handful of known stores, a couple of department stores & the rest of the mall is novelty or vacant stores. We thought we would be able to shop around a little & grab a bite to eat but with such limited options we're heading out a half hour after we got here. Don't think we'll come back.

Overall it seems like things are picking up again which I am very happy to see. I went in to pick up a Nintendo Switch at Best Buy. There are some good stores and a fun little carousel for the kids. Keep it up!

I’ve only lived in the area for the past year so I’m not sure what the Westminster Mall once was. It does seem like it’s on a serious decline. There are a lot of empty store fronts, it’s unfortunate because the mall is so big and has plenty of parking! I do specifically come to this mall for the target that’s located inside. My favorite target in the area! I also do like shopping at the Bath & body works that they have. The mall really is huge. I wish more stores would come back to it! Maybe one day it will be re-vamped.

The Mall Hours are TERRIBLE...... What a joke in the name of professionalism. The Mall opens up late and closes early like if they're in preschool. Monday - Thursday 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Friday - Saturday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM Sunday 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM A true mall would have stayed open from 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM

Westminster Mall has had its ups and downs over the years. The stores that are currently there are great, however, the mall has declined in popularity over the years; and many stores come and go. I will still give the mall a 5-star rating in the hopes that more people will frequent the mall. Given this, it's clear that the mall has some room for improvement. Perhaps there are steps that mall management could take to make the mall a more attractive destination for shoppers. This could include investing in renovations to make the mall look more modern and appealing or offering more events and activities to draw in customers. Despite these challenges, however, it's clear that there are still reasons to visit Westminster Mall. If you are a fan of the stores that are currently there, it's definitely worth checking out. With your support, perhaps the mall can turn its fortunes around and become a thriving destination once again.

Really empty because of construction, this felt like I had the place to myself. Lots of construction sales, up to 70% off, but not many stores are open. At least Macy's and jcpenny were also empty. Nice day to grab Cinnabon and soft pretzels.

Genuinely not worth the visit. It’s turning into a gang infested homeless encampment. You are lucky if all of the lights and the AC are on inside. Walking through the mall feels extremely unsafe. Graffiti along the outside, people riding bikes and skating through the mall, lackluster security that does nothing about shoplifting or seedy people in the mall. So many stores are closing because the mall is failing to provide basic services for their tenants. I have heard horror stories about homeless inhabiting the hallways behind the stores in the mall. There is also some delusional lady on instagram pretending to represent the mall, pretending to be the manager of the mall etc. which adds to the unsafe feeling. Best to stay away from here and go shop at some local businesses and uplift the community.

This place was very lively with lots of open businesses. I saw the first ever two-story target in my entire life there. Surprisingly there wasn’t a lot of traffic of people flow inside of this mall which was very surprising because it was very clean and very welcoming.

Sad to see this Mall so dead. However, glad to see nail shop (Lee's Nails) still in business. Same locale. In the '90's I used to get my nails done there. Can't remember if same name. But same location. 👍🤗

It really should be 2 1/2 Stars. Should take a page out of South Coast Plaza's covid playbook. Get people in the mall. I get it. But you have personnel who get paid to do crisis control. Get busy. I love WM.

Went to Kaiser's temporary covid-19 vaccination clinic located next door to Best buy. As far as the mall's concerned recently went in there not too long ago and it looks like the mall is a lot better inside with some pretty good stores. Couple years ago wasn't too excited about the mall anymore but it seems like it's picking up. As far as foot traffic and as far as better businesses moving in. It's worth checking out if you're in the area.

The mall just went downhill after the pandemic. I remembered a few years ago coming in to have lunch at the food court, and now it's a ghost town. A lot of shops closed down, bathroom outdated and smells. There are only two stalls available, but only one in-service with three urinals. No other bathroom is close by. The nearest one is on the other side of the building, quite a walk if you have to go so bad. It's really sad to see this mall in the condition as it is right now. I hope "they" do a complete renovation.

I want to charge my tesla at the Westminster mall. The parking lot was clean. There was about 40 charging stations which was cool right I walked inside the target and I saw the LGBT gay pride, bullshit that they had out front with my kids had to cover my kids eyes. This is not for children. Great job target for destroying yourselves. Sodom and Gomorrah is coming to see target soon. Avoid target at all cost do not shop at target.

We stop here to charge our EV. We used to live close by when malls we're more popular, and this was always one of the best. The parking lot is in need of striping and it could be a little dangerous if drivers get confused. I liked the food court choices even although it's small compared to other malls. The restroom was clean and well stocked.

Said to say that the mall will be closing due to a new housing development in the works. Many stores have been closed. I've enjoyed many years of holiday shopping there. I still shop at Target and Macy's since they are still open.

Not a lot of shops open. But still a good place to find stuff to do. Their food court still has good food. Let's bring this place back up

  • 4/5 Thomas W. 2 years ago on Google
Solid 4 stars. Decent parking. Were Target not here, don't know what this mall would look like. A few spots, a few food court locations, and an anchor are vacant just now. Still has decent shops here, but I'd likely go to another mall if you were looking to take someone to a mall that had never been to one before. Parking and entrances to all shops, and restrooms are accessible. Restrooms are usually in decent condition. I come here for 1 or two locations inside.

Macy’s always my first shopping choice. But today was the worst experience for me ever in Macy’s. The counter lady was horrible and when she speaks, I barely hear her, and I think she has no experience of Macy’s customer service. I told her I want to buy a gift (perfume) and I need it to be delivered to Virginia Beach. She said we don’t have this service. I told her to ask your manager. She did and she said that they can do it “funny”. Then we came to the payment. The first time I saw a broken machine at Macy’s and she was trying to convince me it’s ok 🤦🏼. Finally, she changed the machine after 15 minutes of trying 🤦🏼🤦🏼. One more thing. Usually, when I buy perfume from Macy’s they give me samples without asking so I can test them and come back. This time, I asked for samples and the lady told me they don’t have samples…. What!! 😩 To be honest, if I knew customer service is this bad, I won’t buy anything. It’s really the worst experience in Macy’s Westminster. I’ll never go back for this branch.

Took my daughter at about 6pm to pierce her ears at Icing. Not very busy at all. It was nice and calm inside. It’s really clean and the carousel is her favorite thing and it’s right by the Icing.

With a JC PENNY and Target as anchor stores and a Best Buy right across the parking lot, this mall is the best place to shop. Also, there is an incredible Philly Cheesesteak restaurant there, Charley's! They make the BEST Philly Cheese Steak sandwich this side of the of Mississippi! A wonderful mall to take the family, and get out of the house for a few hours.

Nice enclosed large mall right off the 405 freeway, so convenient access and air-conditioned. Be aware that some stores close before the mall actually closes. Plenty of parking available on a weeknight. Some empty storefronts.

Went to shop at one of my favorite shops in the mall which is Aeropostale. Jocelyn was so perfect with the over the top customer service. Wish I could give her more stars. She definitely made my shopping better with her awesome attitude. I shop at many places and sometimes walk out if its horrible energy but thanks to her I will come back for sure!!

I really enjoy going to this mall. I haven't had one bad experience anywhere. They are even friendly when you ask where a different store is. The only thing is that the security guard should be more polite when asking people to leave. The mall was closed and I just didn't like the way the security guard talked to me. I felt uncomfortable.

The Mall Was Very Empty With Countless Shops Closed I Do Love The Target Entrance Inside The Mall. It's A Very Old Mall By Looking At The Carpet In The Main Walkways. Overall Nice Mall But Rather Shop Somewhere Else That Has More Selections And That's More Updated. Atleast It Has Character!

Ugh. This mall was outstanding back in the 70s and 80s. Looks like it's been on the decline ever since. Majority of stores are boarded up and it's dark and creepy in there. Time to demo this place and start anew.

This mall does not have the stores I like to shop in (not that I shop a lot). Also, most of the stores were closed, could've been because we went on a Sunday afternoon. The employees were all great.

I visited recently from out of town… and I was scared to death! There were sketchy people outside the parking lot; some were talking to themselves, and others being very suspicious! All of the stores were practically closed, and it gave off eerie vibes. DO NOT go there alone if you are a woman, or have kids with you. If you absolutely need to go here, always bring pepper spray or someone you trust!!!

  • 5/5 dina m. 1 year ago on Google
Because all the items that you are looking for, you can find them in one place, and also some stores make offers in prices, which encourages customers to buy, and other than that, Westminster Mall is a special place for a walk for all ages

  • 2/5 Rob M. 5 months ago on Google
Surprised there were stores left; haven’t visited in a couple years. Target had their mall-facing doors rolled up during operating hours, which was utterly shocking; you would think there would be some kind of lease restriction about that. Apparently not, or else they’re at the “try and enforce it!” stage.

  • 3/5 HY T. 1 year ago on Google
A lots of shops are closed. Look quite depressing. Some fastfood stalls are closed as well. The management needs to bring new stores here. People still like going to shop at the shopping malls, not everyone would be buying from the websites.

A lot of stores have shut down over the years, so this mall has gotten kinda sad recently. The food thing is that it's never too crowded. It definitely feels not as well kept as other malls in the area. Not sure how much longer this mall will last in the near future.

Pretty clean tables are six feet apart at the food court. Ate at one of my favorite places a Thai food place, cute and delicious,Thai tea yum. Had rude Yung people that work in the target or I would have given this experience a 5 star review. The children they hired are very rude they make fun of the customers. They called us dogs in Spanish, I know this because I speak Spanish.

Went there. Pretty empty. It's a nice mall, too many store closed. I remember when this mall first opened. I was only 18....now a five decades later...it almost ready to close. I came to look around. It might be the last time. I heard it might be closing...makes me sad.😔 I worked at Sears and i was 18. At the candy counter...sold candy, cookies and nuts by the pound. They got rid of the candy section years ago...

I have enjoyed shopping at this mall for many years. It is kept clean and easy to get around. Has a decent selection of stores. And some cool vendors such as Piercing Pagoda . Which is the only place I buy my body jewelry or get my piercings. I love Claire's but at a $100 per piercing ,Piercing Pagoda wins. You can get your body pierced and get quality jewelry that won't rust or turn your skin green... For less than $50. No one has them beat when it comes to the variety of body jewelry they sell. I love Piercing Pagoda!!!! I hope they will stay in business for a long time. I also love aunt Annie's pretzels... Yum.....

Went to a small jewelry and watch shop. Batteries were changed in two watches. The service was quick and efficient. Was given a discount as a returning customer. Will return. As far as the whole mall is concerned. It looks like it is in a downward trend. Many shops are closed and not many people there.

If you live in a the greater bay area, this is one of the nicer places to shop since you can pretty much find any store in this mall. If the store you're looking for is not in the mall, it's safe to bet that it's around the vicinity of union square which is no more than a 2-3 block radius. The mall itself is a bit annoying to navigate since there are two sides and each side has about 4-5 floors. The bathrooms desperately need to be cleaned. I usually park at Mission and 5th or the Ellis and O'Farrell garages, which can be rather pricey if you arrive midday. All and all, one of the nicer places to shop and right above the bart station for those barting in.

I lived in Santa Ana for 2yrs and recently moved to Costa Mesa. While living in Santa Ana I used take the OCTA bus all the way to Westminster Mall (it takes about 1 hour it get there) I would make the trip there just because of the awesome store selections, food courts because EVERYTHING is all under ONE roof! And having the Target store next door is the best ever! It saved me a lot of TIME and money going to this mall versus other nearby or closer malls. I still visit Mainplace Mall but I get a greater selection and overall convenience at the Westminster Mall.

Booked the double party package for me and my friends and had a blast. Was a bit pricey at $1,200 for 48 minutes of flight time with all the rental gear included as well as a DVD of our whole session but it's not something you do all the time and my friends and I had a great time. Our instructor was great and really worked with us to get us better... would definitely do this again!!!

Well, this mall may not be crowded. That's fine by me, though. The stores there are nice. A lot of the specialty independently owned stores that carry items one could hardly find at large, more popular malls. Personally, I come here because it's easier to reach my step goals. It is clean inside. I almost selfishly want it to stay uncrowded but I know the stores and kiosks need the business. It really is an underrated mall.

Good place for shopping. On this trip I stopped at Book-Off. Got 4 books this time.

If it weren't for the lack of people, this mall is great. They really did a good job with giving it a new vibe and feel with the drone contests and entertainment for kids. Santa Claus is really a nice guy with a nice hearty Santa laugh, and the picture turned out really well! Enjoy this mall while you can, it is being torn down I think in 2025. Changing times means the decline of malls in general, but this mall is still awesome.
