Took this tour on a whim and could not have been happier. Most walking tours are geared for, well, tourists and they can be kind of lame. Not the case with Streetwise. Several times over the course of the tour I found myself in places that no tourist would ever go, in the best way possible. The guide, Greg, was incredibly knowledgable and had a great energy. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic walking tour experience. I was staying at POD Time Square which offers 4 days a week different neighborhood tours by Street Wise. The one offered on Saturday was a walking tour of Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO district of Brooklyn. Ben the wonderful tour guide meet the assembled group in the hotel lobby, we walked to the nearby subway station and road to Brooklyn Heights, walked the neighborhood, learned the history of the area, the celebrities homes past and present, stopped for a coffee break. Ben made everything interesting and did an amazing job of taking time to engage with everyone in the large group. The DUMBO district near the Brooklyn Bridge gave incredible views and opportunities for shopping and dinning as the tour came to an end. It was a remarkable 2 hours that went by like a New York minute!

Tour was offered from our hotel so we had some free time and decided to go. So glad we did! It was so worth it! If you think you know a lot about NYC, be prepared to learn something new! Dan was super cool and knows his city! Definitely go!!!

Every tour will be a fantastic experience. The guides know a lot about the city! They bring a lot of added value compared to walking around by yourself. Thank you again guys.

Excellent experience! We spent a beautiful morning touring Greenwich Village. Andrew shared with us the history, anecdotes and curious facts about the neighborhood, with great patience and kindness. We highly recommend it!

A couple of weeks ago we were taking the Greenwich Village and High Line Tour, Dan's proximity led us to know all the details of each place we visited. Absolutely recommended, disconnecting while getting to know this interesting part of the city is practically mandatory.

"We booked this tour through our Hotel Pod Times Square to visit DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights on foot, and it was a really good decision! Our tour guide David was very nice and was able to tell us so many very interesting things. we were never bored, and when the tour ended, you almost wanted to extend it all to find out more and discover more sides. We really recommend it, especially to those who are in this magnificent city for the first time! It really helps you start a beautiful experience and helps you discover the first beautiful places already! If we were to return to New York, we would definitely choose a tour with Streetwise New York Tours again

Dan was great on our tour of the lower east side and Chinatown. So knowledgeable and showed me a side of the city I didn’t know existed. Plus recommended the best place for noodles in Chinatown and it did not disappoint! Thanks Dan for sharing your knowledge and passion for this amazing city.

We did. 3 hour tour with Andrew that started near Wa Sq and took us into Brooklyn and back. He is great, knowledgeable and gives great insight n history of all that you see that colors your knowledge of the areas with so much more context. Also did one with him in Greenwich Village and that was great as well. Highly recommend!

Dan was an amazing tour guide! Best way to explore the city (in my case Chinatown and East Village). Dan has great knowledge about the city and gave some nice insider tips.

The BEST way to get to know the city and sooo much fun too! We did two walking tours to Central Park and Brooklyn with Andy and David and we had THE best time!!! Both guys are great and fun! We've learnt so many interesting things, but also had a chance to ask about anything that was bugging us about american customs or rules obvious to New Yorkers but new to us. Totally recommend!!!

I went on a tour with my sister to see the High Line, Grenwich, and the Chelsea Market. Our tour guide was Andrew and he was amazing! He took us to so many popular sites and had so much knowledge to share! My favourite part of the tour was getting to visit a local shop called Music Inn! I would definitely recommend taking a tour here while in NYC!!!

Tours around NY, the guide i had on my tours was kind and willing to answer our questions. The Lower East Side and Chinatown tour from my point of view wasn't that interesting nor worth it, but Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO is a better tour that shows you more about NY, and also more interesting places or key points of the city

The best walking tour I've been on! We joined the Dumbo tour and our guide David was absolutely amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable and kept the tour at a comfortable pace. They have tours to different parts of New York, strongly recommended!

Streetwise New York Tours are an extremely pleasant way to explore the city, meet cool people and discover curiosities that are not accessible in any guidebooks. Very varied, easy-going and easy to book. Andrew, one of the guides is an incredibly good and kind fellow. Highly recommended!

A great tour with a great guide! I learned a lot about the lower east side and chinatown. Thank you Dan for this special experience!

Really enjoyed the tour with Sonya. You were able to chat about other things as well that were not 100% about the tour. NY details in general. Went to some cool places. Can recommend it and liked as well the vib created. Did the Greenwich and highline tour

I had such an entertaining and informative tour I booked another for the next day. Each tour had a different guide and featured a different area of Manhattan, including Central Park. The tours were simple to book, the guides made for a pleasurable outing and were knowledgeable. The tour took us to areas you typically wouldn’t know about and buildings that you didn’t know you could enter to explore. My only disappointment was the tours did have to come to an end.

Sonya was a very dedicated guide on our tour of the lower East side and Chinatown. She made sure we learned about the colorful history of immigration and culture, and very meticulously covered everything that she wanted to in a very timely yet comfortable manner. It definitely opened my eyes to several lesser known facts about New York city. I would highly recommend joining them on one of their tours. The next time I'm in the city, I'll look them up and would love to join them on another walking tour.

These guys are doing a great job. Precise & efficient use of time with them as they take you on walking tours for prominent locations in NY city. Dan & Ronny both do a great job. We enjoyed the first time so much that we went for a second tour too during our stay.

The LES Chinatown tour was amazing. Andrew, our guide, was insightful, knowledgeable, and experienced. Even his jokes expressed genuine love for the area. The tour was a great gift for people that live in the city and have no idea about their own neighbors and their rich history. It’s also a wonderful introduction to the whys and how’s of the diverse nature of New York City.

Greg took us on a fascinating walking tour of the Lower Eastside and China Town. We saw things that we would just not have seen with anyone else. I loved seeing the Graffiti Art and hearing about the background and culture of the different areas. Highly recommended!

We took the Brooklyn Heights/Dumbo Tour with David and it was an incredible experience. It was our first time in Brooklyn and our perception prior to the tour was totally different than what David showed us, it was amazing. Beyond sharing interesting facts about the place, David answered all the questions you had and told you his own vision of the place as a New Yorker. David also took the time to let us take pictures, including taking pictures of the group and time to explore on our own on the pier. 100% recommended!

Our tour to DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights was fantastic. We got to learn a lot of interesting facts about the area and it's history, and of course stop for some classic NYC photo ops. Ronny was an awesome guide. Not only was he very knowledgable and personable on our tour, he went above and beyond after the tour was completed to help us figure out the subway system and get to our next event on time. Thanks Ronny!

We made the walking tour "Brooklyn Heights & Dumbo" with Sonya and it was a really nice experience. We were a big group, but that didn't matter! :) Sonya walked with us through the district and told us a lot about it. It was a lot of fun and we were able to take some new information and impressions with us. We definitely took more with us than if we had just walked through here alone. The tour took us about 2,5 hours and was worth it! Thank you very much, highly recommended! :)

Andrew met me at the Frederick Hotel and was courteous and friendly from the first moment. The pace of the tour around the beautiful Tribecca was just perfect. He even brought us to the Hunger Memorial clearly indicative of the critical role of the Irish Famine in New York’s history. A lovely blend of old and current stories presented Tribecca as it really is- a coveted beautiful part of New York. I’d highly recommend these tours. Nollaig

I attended several tours although I’ve been already plenty of times to New York. The professional and likable tour guides provided new and interesting information and gave a very nice overview over the according neighborhoods and insights about it’s citizens and history.

Our tour of Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO with Patrick was an amazing look at New York! I found out so much interesting information and had an amazing time! I also learned a lot about the context of many facets of the city that made me appreciate its history a lot more. Thank you Patrick!

This was such an enjoyable way to experience the Upper West Side and Central Park. Our tour guide, Dan, was friendly and knowledgeable. He stopped regularly to provide us with interesting information about the different sites. He also gave us great suggestions for other attractions and restaurants to check out while we were visiting NYC. We did a lot during our 5 day stay in the city, but this 2.5 hour tour was one of my favorite things we did while on our trip.

Is there a better way of getting to know a city than by foot? Yes! Walking along with the guys of Streetwise NY Tours who will show you every corner of the city in a different light. I tell you, I've been to some of those places before, on my own, but with the info they gave me I got a completely new insight. Also, it is a great way of meeting other people if you're a solo traveller! Mind you, the tour does not return to the meeting point so you will have to go back to your hotel yourself (the guides will give you directions, though.) I took 2 tours and they were very interesting and fun. I highly recommend Streetwise NY Tours!

Participated to the Lower East Side & China Town tour that started from the hotel Pod 51. The tour was well planned and organized and full of interesting tales and details of the areas and their history. Thank you Andrew for a great tour!

We booked a walking tour of Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo through our hotel, Pod Times Square. Andrew was super knowledgeable, and brought the group to locations we wouldn't have seen otherwise. He also ensured the group always had adequate time to take photos, and even helped everyone navigate to their next destination after the tour end. Would absolutely recommend the tour for anyone.

Today we had a very nice tour with our guide in Greenwich Village and Chelsea. We were a small group of 8 participants and our guide explained a lot of interesting background information to us. He spoke slowly and clearly so that we could understand him well, even though English is not our native language. Thank you for the great tour!

I had a few days in New York on my own before meeting up with friends so I did Streetwise New York/Pod Tour of Central Park and Upper West Side'. I found the tour to be brilliant - it was informative & interesting with a good mix of information, facts, local knowledge, hidden gems and anecdotes. I enjoyed the first tour so much that I did second one the next day - the 'Greenwich Village and The High Line'. The second tour was every bit as good as the first. I spent the days after my friends arrived repeating all the wonderful information I’d learned on the tours. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Streetwise - the guides know their city well & do a great job.
