👍👍 Beautiful period properties that have been painstakingly restored to their former glory. A few hideous buildings that have crept in in more recent years but nothing a good bulldozer won’t sort. History of it being the hunting grounds to the castle is delightful and it’s apparent the wealthy of Nott... People often mention Nottingham,

Beautiful period properties that have been painstakingly restored to their former glory. A few hideous buildings that have crept in in more recent years but nothing a good bulldozer won’t sort. History of it being the hunting grounds to the castle is delightful and it’s apparent the wealthy of Nottingham would have set up camp here.

The Garden Trail is a great way to see a part of historic Nottingham that no one sees, as the Park Estate is a group of predominantly OTT Victorian houses. As a private estate for the seriously well off, the slightly faded charm of the houses with their colourful and secluded gardens are well worth a "neb" as they say round here. The only star missing is because more loos are required.. most of us are of a certain age who do the garden trail thing! Beware, the roads are steep, steps aplenty, and plenty of chance to get "steps" in between the gardens!

This is nothing short of a beautiful community. It's well maintained and designed, with wonderfully placed circuses providing adequate green space. This is a quiet(ish) and affluent area with views of the castle from many spots - best enjoyed on thoughtful warm evening walks.

I was there for the Christmas Market. It was really lovely. Lots of stalls with different foods from around the world, hand made gifts, homeware, plants and flowers, and after all that, which is their normal market, there was a grotto and a brass band just for the occasion.

What a fabulous place to live. It's steps to the wonderful Nottingham City Centre with all it's theatres, restaurants, bars, the castle and shops. There is a real community feel. The streets are lit by authentic gas lamps, and many folks are out running, walking their dog, or gardening. This place is unique in that students are living next to millionaires in lovely old homes which have been remodeled well and there is on-street parking for permit holders (given to residents) which is closely monitored. However, landlords are extremely greedy in this area and will command the highest prices for very basic accommodation and will refuse to negotiate or update window dressings, or plumbing which has obviously been in place for over 20 yrs.

Lovely haven in the midst of this bustling city. Nearly all old coach house type properties centered around two green islands, nice place to stay.

This is a part of Nottingham renowned for the houses having an interesting architectural heritage as well as some contemporary buildings. Some properties were designed by the architect Watson Fothergill who is well known for designing many buildings around Nottingham. On occasional days The Park has open gardens for you to look around and enjoy the surroundings together with several pop up market stalls selling food, drink and gifts. To be clear you should think of The Park as a housing estate with gated/restricted access for much of the year unless you live there.
