Beautiful castle and gardens. Cute little cafe that does lovely treats. You can only sit outside though. A hidden treasure. Great for walks with children or dogs. Steeped in history x

Amazing woodland walk with stunning scenic views. I loved it here and can’t wait to visit again. Walked 8 miles around and around it. Has a nice cafe that’s not over priced.

Pay and display parking although blue badge holders can park for free. Dog friendly park. Playground with picnic benches nearby. The castle itself is the centrepiece next to a lake and various floral displays. Amongst the attractions at this council managed venue there is a traditional English walled garden and Italian garden. Generally all areas seem accessible for those with mobility concerns. The food offerings range from a cafe at the Castle to mobile food and ice-cream vendors on the car park. I have left a similar review on the castle itself.

It's a great day out. The house itself isn't open to view, just a small part it that has been turned in to a cafe and there are toilets too. The extensive grounds offer miles of walks, a lake, a walled garden, stables, a gift/information shop, a church and a 3 mile circular walk with hides so you view the wildlife. The parking isn't expensive either. It's a great day out.

Love it here. Always my go-to for a nice stroll. Ample parking, £2.50 for two hours. Café is lovely, with a range of drinks, fresh cakes and sandwiches/pastries etc available, and staff very friendly. Lots of different paths to take, a beautiful walled garden to explore too. Can get very muddy if it's been raining, so remember your wellies!

Nice small chateau, but the best part is the park. It's gorgeous, huge, and offers a plenty of great views.

Beautiful place to spend a couple of hours or in fact the whole day. Entry by car park payment £2.50 for two hours. Gentle walk around d the lake. Good cafe in house with inside and outside seating. Dogs Welcome. Gift shop in court yard with toilets in both areas. Nature area not visited but will certainly make a point of seeing it next time.

I visited this beautiful location for the Goodgreef Trance in the Woods, which was amazing. The grounds are inviting and relaxing and will have to visit again with the family.

One of my favourite places. So many gardens to visit. The Azalea garden smells incredible. Great photography opportunities. Great walks too. The cafe and car park can get busy, so I recommend going in the morning. Plan ahead! Take snacks and water!

Love taking my dogs and grandkids to this park. We take a picnic and walk around the lake, stop off to let kids play on the adventure play area, feed the ducks take lots of pictures and have coffee and ice-cream at the courtyard and look in the shops.

First visit since 1980. Really impressed with the whole experience. Gardens Woods the Castle to explore outside. Shame it not open to the public . Somewhere to get a Coffee and Snack. Will definitely return. 😈

Visited today for the Woodland Festival. Firstly it was £15 for all day parking which is basically an entrance fee. Some great craft stalls and lots for the younger kids to get involved with. Lots of food stalls and finally found a stall that had Cornflake tarts !!!! Also some reenactment were taking place but we didn't get to see them. LOOK OUT for the Green man (see photos) the younger kids loved his stories and had them all captivated. Great family day. Especially if you're into arts and crafts.

A brilliant family friendly event with a decent entry fee to make it affordable. Our first time here, definitely making a return next year! So much to see and enjoy. Thanks to all involved we had a blast.

Elvaston county park was big, it good for bringing your kids and dogs here. The park is free but as for the car park is for paid but it for free for disable badge only. There is a cafe next to castle. Unfortunately you can't go inside the castle. I have seen the light shines through the gate like a heaven.

Lovely walk round the Park and lakes , quick swim before a coffee break in the glorious sunshine. Parking great value £3 for 4 hours and the Park , Castle area and Gardens all free to enjoy. Lovely topiary in the Italian Garden. Watts cafe / tea room in the courtyard a bonus. Well worth a visit ... Lots to do in Derbyshire ..

Been going there all my life but the ice cream van was charging over £5 for an ice cream that's why you have lost a star

Excellent place to visit with lots to see and do. It can get pretty muddy on certain days so come dressed for the weather. Parking is convenient, plentiful and cheap (£1.60 for 2 hours as of May 2022)

Local to me so obviously have been here hundreds of times growing up. Haven't been for ages and went the other day and was surprised all over again how beautiful this area is! Cafe lovely but grounds are spectacular. Definitely worth a visit on a lovely sunny day

Old English Garden is absolutely breathtaking 😍 In general lovely walk a lot to see, huge trees 🌳 lakes, paths and playground for the kids. Car park pay and display £3 - 4h . Thanks to all people who maintain the park and make it possible and accessible to everybody. Warmest regards 🤗

Went on a rainy day, and can't wait to go back when the weather is better! There are so many things in the grounds to go and explore. All for free too.

We spent a couple of hours wandering around the outer walking trails with the kids on their bikes. We called in at the Information Centre and got some ice creams. The playground area is good. Parking was £2.50 for two hours or £4.50 for four hours.

Fab place with really nice staff. The lady in the shop today 31/10/23 is very nice, lovely to chat with. Need a full day here, cafe is available but extra snacks is good as lovely areas to sit... At the moment parts are still flooded, wellies needed or boots really but each to ones own choice... Parking machine is temperamental, I have reported it so they know, it didn't give ticket if paid by card but gave ticket if paid by cash... Shame St Bartholomews church wasnt open to enjoy looking around inside, hopefully will be open on my nect visit... The grounds looked amazing today with the low lying fog rolling in... 👌🏻

This beautiful place fills me with so many happy, childhood memories. A beautiful place for a short or long walk, a good cup of coffee and equally good slice of well-deserved cake.
