I would describe this hotel as a poor man's Premier Inn. The computer put us right above the entrance to the hotel where people gathered to smoke and chat. See photo. The room itself was nothing special and right after the lift so very noisy with people going past and you could hear everything from the room next door. I've put 2 stars for service as there is none. The only time you speak to someone is at breakfast to take you to a table. Value for money I would give 2 stars.

Very clean. Fresh white bed linen and towels. Tasty food and plenty of it. Breakfast is excellent value...especially if you have a deal. We did a Friday night deal...lovely big room, £50 voucher to spend on food in the evening and breakfast...well worth it. Staff are friendly, helpful and smiling 👍

Check in was slick and receptionist was lovely. The room appeared clean and temperature was good. There was a slight smell of drains which I reported to reception on checkout and they are going to send the maintenance team. Main draw back is the walls are a bit thin - I could hear everything from the the next door 😕 (just the luck of the drawer as to who is next to you!). I didn't use it, but the pool and gym area looked nice and I would use if I stayed longer. Location was great... Easy to get to from the M1 and next to an out of town retail type place with a few shops and a McDonald's. Near a nature reserve which I had planned to visit, but the weather was poor so I'll save that for next time. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty of options, food was hot and tasty. Check out was smooth and receptionist was attentive to my comments about the smell and the need for the room next door to get a new mattress!!! All in all, this was a nice little stay and I would stay here again if I was going to have time to use the pool and gym.

I chose the Village Hotel Nottingham for my Dad's funeral wake in August. I can confirm it was the best decision, the sales team were great and Sid was truly wonderful, he worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect for my Dad's wake, and he was there to welcome everyone on the day as well as dealing with any requests. The function room was laid out beautifully, I opted for a food buffet rather than the afternoon tea and the food was delicious with many compliments from family and friends. The sales team also dealt with all room bookings for my family and allocated them rooms as close to each other as possible. Thank you for making the day go smoothly, for taking all the stress away from me and making things so much easier in my time of grief. Sid and team, you were amazing.

Stayed here for one night with a friend. I'd chosen the Village as I've stayed at other village locations and loved those. Unfortunately the room I was given in this location was not up to the same standards as I have experienced elsewhere. Room felt dated and not the same as the clean, sleek and modern rooms shown on the website at time of booking and was much more dated than those I've stayed in previously. Not sure if all rooms are the same, but the bathrooms at least need a revamp. It wasn't a bad experience overall but definitely didn't meet expectations.

Spent a weekend here. The price was really good with breakfast included as well as access to the facilities such as gym and pool. The room was ok, the only issue we had was that the heating would go on during the day but then it would be super cold at night time. The pool, sauna, and steam room were fantastic. There were periods during the day when it was busy, but it was still really nice to have access there and be able to relax. The gym was alright, the equipment was a bit old but we made it work. We enjoyed our stay, and it was affordable.

A pleasant hotel, clean rooms and comfortable beds, very good gym and pool. Decor is OK but could do with refreshing eg there are marks on the bathroom walls where fixtures have been moved around. Some of the artwork is extraordinarily bad, with pictures featuring animal skulls staring at you as you sleep. We were aware from a previous visit so requested a room without this but still found one in our room, luckily the lady on reception quickly moved us. The best thing about the hotel is the staff who are extremely pleasant and helpful. The worst is the restaurant, food is rather uninspired and the adjacent bar seems to turn into a noisy sports watching venue in the evenings.

Island Paradise Resort truly lived up to its name. Situated on a secluded island, it was a haven of tranquility. Our bungalow was tastefully furnished, and the private beach access was a dream come true. The resort staff were gracious and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. This is a place where island dreams become reality.

We stayed for a couple of nights and can recommend the hotel. The rooms were nice and spacious and the self service breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. My only negative comment is the reception area which is meant to be a 'self service" affair which is a process we found both confusing and a poor image for the hotel. This is not a reflection of the staff who were very helpful. The Village Hotel should reflect that reception is the welcoming face to the hotel and first impressions count. Customer should feel welcomed when they arrive, which an automated check in cannot deliver

Really nice room that was spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar downstairs is great with a decent selection of drink and the food from the grill was lovely. Didn't get a chance to use the gym or pool but will do next time 👍

Really accommodating to our needs. Booked a large group and were very helpful. Rooms are clean and well sized. A nice fan and no road noise. The facilities are great and open at useable hours. Such as the pool, with a sauna/steam room and jacuzzi. Changing rooms, family ones too. Good selection of food and drink in the bar with lots of sports available on the multiple TVs. And for a great price considering all the above.

Myself and my wife decided to book 2 nights away just before new year. We arrived at the hotel and first thing was the sink leaking. All the water was pouring out from under the sink. We had to request someone to fix before we could actually relax. Early evening we were watching TV in bed and.....BANG, our bed shakes. Screaming and banging from some children in the room next to us was ruining our evening. BANG BANG, our bed shakes again. Went to complain and we were moved Immediately (apparently the hotel knew exactly who the people in the room next door to us were...so why put use next to them in the first instance?). When we ordered food in the restaurant bar, the food was below par. Greasy burger bun, had to eat my burger with a knife and fork as the seeds were sticking to my hands with all the grease and the burger was falling apart. My wife's over priced salmon was also a let down. Dry and well, not very filling. Overall our stay was poor...and we believe the hotels standards have gone down hill as we have stayed there quite alot in the past.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at your Nottingham establishment. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. The facilities, including the fitness center and dining options, exceeded my expectations. The standout feature, however, was your exceptional staff. Their professionalism and genuine willingness to assist made my stay truly memorable. The hotel's convenient location was the cherry on top, allowing easy access to local attractions. I will certainly return and highly recommend your hotel to others.

Beware, rude staff and party noise all night. We stayed here for 10 days for work purposes. This is a new location for us and first impressions looked visually nice. However, blunt reception and basic room. We only received room service once. The room was only hoovered once and bedding only changed after complaining three consecutive days to reception. This included a lot of eye rolling! Clean towels? The same. The week days were generally quiet but weekends were a nightmare with function events going on until 2:00 in the morning. The base was so hard that there was no way of sleeping. We are not light sleepers. Not ideal when work included early starts! Mention to reception who laugh at you and tell you to join the party! We cancelled the second half of our trip (luckily we booked in two halves!) and will be book other accommodation in the future. We spent over £1200 for 10 nights. We are far from fussy and stay away with work a lot. This is the first time I’ve felt the need to write a review about accommodation. We expected more!

We stayed here for 3 nights very friendly staff lovely room and the food was delicious would recommend this hotel to everyone. We were here for my wife’s 50 years service to Boots who booked this hotel for us. If we come back to Nottingham again we would definitely stay here again

Stayed there Friday 31st March and had a great time. Service was very good throughout, however I must highlight Jemima as the stand out individual. We arrived for our table booking at 8.15 and we were warmly greeted by Jemima who took us to our table and talked us through them menu and then took our drinks order which arrived in quick time. All through the evening she was very attentive made our night much more relaxing. I would also recommend the salmon and rack of ribs which we had. Thanks and well done

Very nice hotel, the pool is great, great location to go for walks in nature (natural reserve just behind hotel). You need to pay extra for pretty much everything so beware. Breakfast is low quality, I do not recommend. There is a great pub with great food just a couple minutes walk from there.

Lovely spacious room. Very comfortable beds. Came here with my two children and we a family room. The staff were very helpful. One of the Bar and Grill staff called Lily went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Thank you for your help Lily. Highly recommended. Thank you for a great stay. Il definitely come again.

This hotel is and has always been fantastic! Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, great service and nothing is ever too much trouble! I've been a member of the gym for almost 23 years and high standard's have been maintained throughout. Great classes, professional instructors and a great atmosphere has always kept me going. The food in the bar/restaurant is superb and good value. The over arching positive for me is the people - they are so accommodating and very friendly. If you want a place to stay, then look no further. Just spot on!!! 👌

Came to the village for a Christmas meal and get together and the food was sub par there was no choice in starter main or pudding, the soup was brought out a good 20 minutes after they had given out a quarter of french stick and the soup was in the smallest soup dish i had ever seen, the turkey was bland and tasted like it had been left to long in the warming tray and they gave us a small pot of cranberry sauce that was just enough for two people not 13 people, the entertainment was ok but not great.

It's a nice central place, great staff but rooms need a bit of attention, doors and skirting need painting and upholstery on beds needs a good clean, not sure what the stains were!! Shower head needed cleaning. The gym, swim area were nice. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, we had to ask both days for things to be filled up, but staff tend to make a place and they were all very helpful. It's a good price and felt clean and safe.

Friendly staff greeting upon arrival, quick and easy automated check in system. Spacious rooms with very comfy beds. Had a few drinks in the bar in the evening, staff professional but fun. Overall stay was great. Exactly what we were looking for.

A good atmosphere for those looking for a fun evening. The hotel offers a lot, with a pool and gym and also a sports bar, there’s something for everyone. The bar is fantastic with lots of screens showing sports and lots of good offerings of beer and food (not the cheapest mind) The cons however, the room was a little bit worse for wear and could have definitely done with a lick of paint in places. The pool was nice (£5 per room to access) and the hotel isn’t the quietest, with lots of people going in and out partying etc although we did stay on a Friday evening. Can’t fault for the price of the rooms however, depending on the purpose of your stay it’s worth the cost.

Came to Nottingham for the weekend. Was greeted at check in by Shelia. She is a wonderful asset to your company to have someone so lovely and helpful as front of house….every Village needs a Shelia. Rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast was lovely, fresh and hot with lots of choice. The hotel was very very busy. Breakfast staff work hard to make sure you have everything you need Thanks for a lovely weekend

Been before and we went back for the food (pizza) and they have changed the menu. No pizza and only 2 veggie options. I always choose a restaurant based on the menu so probably wouldn't go back. Unfortunately I have an already paid booking coming up so can't cancel. 😑 Other than that though staff were great, good room price and comfy bed.

Great hotel. Can be a bit expensive so do shop around to find a good deal when the offer it in there app or website. Lovely breakfast and service. It is also right next to a retail park...a McDonald's and some good restaurant. Would definitely come back and recommend.

Tiny Club room with no A/C and windows only opening one inch, so poor ventilation was a sleepless night. The pool, bar and restaurant were superb though. All staff were amazing, especially Alex on the front desk.

Brilliant service from start to finish from the happy, bubbly and polite staff. Great size room, located close to the stairs/lift with very little noise. A beautifully dressed bed with swan towels and petals provided by very talented housekeeping staff. A nice location with a gorgeous nature reserve at the rear. Another Village hotel we've enjoyed! Thank you for your service 😊

Nice clean room. Bed good but did get some noise in the early hours 2am. In the morning the shower was colder than I would have liked but usable. We did eat at the on-site bar and the food was good.

Visited here for two nights. Hotel was clean with good facilities. All staff very friendly and professional. Sadly experienced an incident one night where some guests were screaming and arguing for 4 hours in the rear car park, which caused a sleepless night. Explained to the hotel what had happened and they dealt with it appropriately. The rooms do not have aircon so found they are very warm this time of year. The staff addressed this for me and upgraded my room which included a dyson fan. The restaurant was very good and breakfast includes a decent range of food. Spa area was clean and offer good facilities. I would recommend this hotel purely for the way service received.

Great complex and nice area with a retail park across the road, so if you've forgotten anything you're all set. The facilities are impeccable; Pub/grill, Starbucks, gym and swimming pool. The rooms are really nice, although the layout is somewhat of a labyrinth.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Lovely welcome and service throughout stay. Stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay again. Had problem with the shower in bedroom but that was fixed straightaway. Few things was the bedroom needed a lick of paint and dusting but comfortable otherwise. If you use the swimming pool you need to take your towel from the room or pay to use one. The lighting in the pool area is too dark.

Brilliant hotel, really lovely integrated bar area and a very nice breakfast added in as well. Coupled with some lovely rooms and very helpful staff. I’m not sure about the very hands off staff approach but: that’s just a newer experience for me and also the staff were still incredibly lovely and helpful - and very accommodating when I lost my phone charger! Great little hotel at a great value!

We stay here often. Lovely club room with super bed and large TV. Ironing board and iron in room and large walk in shower. Towels and soap supplied. Coffee shop, spa and open restaurant. Function suite available too. Great location and a few minutes from junction 25 M1

The set up of the hotel was nice. However, the hygiene is not on point. All of the towels that were left for us in the room were stained and looked very gross, which is unacceptable. I don’t think the bath it’s been disinfected, and god knows if the toilet was too. Breakfast was nice but there’s no choice of vegetables and fruits, which is odd. Staff was friendly

I have stayed in other Village Hotels prior to this one. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Registration was good - we arrived early but on explaining that my wife had a back problem and needed a rest, we were given a room straight away. Breakfast service was slow, even getting seated. Both mornings, replenishing breakfast items was slow. Evening meal service was better. Too many choices with two burgers, but there were healthy options. There were a lot of children, more than the same time of year at other locations. Also, very noisy guests. We did not get much sleep.
