A brilliant part of town with a wide good collection of independent shops alongside plenty of retails, nightclub and bar venues. It's got a great balance of night time and daytime activities. Plus a good amount of green spaces and historical features/museums to explore.

It's really nice to get away from usual/common high street brands and looks some unique items only available from these independent boutiques

The doves in the Cathedral were beautiful. The bonus was we got to hear an amazing young woman practicing for her concert later in the day her voice was wonderful

A bit quiet but the museum had an intersting exhibition on about women writing history. Lots about women from Derby and Derbyshire.and Manchester too. Great café. Lovely, reasonably priced food and drink. Wheelchair accessible access. Not sure about parking but on street parking available and multi storey parking close by. Permanent exhibitions too.

Dirty and uncomfortable. Too many, often organised groups of people asking, begging money. You can see them allocating positions if you're about early. Too many wristband sellers targeting the more vulnerable/gullible. A miserable experience.

A smaller version of meadowhall, but that makes it easier to get around. Lovely coffee shops for a break.

Awful! Very run down. Lots of places shut. Permanently or not, I'm not sure, it was a Tuesday. Derby City centre is also scruffy. Nothing there that I'd be in a rush to go back to.

It's dead. The whole of town is dead. There's a few more shops opened on Sadlergate it I can't imagine they'll still be in business in a years time. It's a ghost town full of mamba zombies.

I love this part of Derby. Came up for my birthday last November and had a wonderful day out. Good food, beautiful Cathedral, great music shops.

Lots going on for st George's Day and a really great atmosphere even after the day's events ended. Felt safe and lots of little arty bits hidden here and there.

Absolutely rubbish area. Nothing stands out to other city's. Waterfall that doesn't work in fact it doesn't warrant a one Star. Rubbish.

Plenty of shops to look at . Away from Derby city centre . Sadler Gate is worth a visit. The Old Bell public has is on Sadler gate dates back to the 1600s I believe .

If you want a hairdresser or cafe then this area is fine. I'm sorry to see its demise. We once loved shopping in this area. Now its hardly worth the effort to visit.

Homeless surround the town internally making it a very conscious environment, shame there isn't more ploce patrolling to deter off and having to have following crackheads all over town

I'm often in this part of Derby. The Cathedral Quarter is clean, funky and has great independent coffee shops such as Bear, Milk and Honey, Rask, Kitchen, Book Cafe and of course the wonderful Quad. I'm a real coffee snob and they all serve great coffee! There are also 2 rangers who curate the area. Both so friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. I loved the living forest on the square last year, so hopefully that might arrive again. A joy to be part of this small community 🙂

Unfortunately we were in town when there had been a stabbing in the standing order not a good experience it's normally a nice place to meander,so don't let this put you off .walk to the top the cathedral, and a few nice pubs up there

A nice place to walk around when the weather is pleasant and sunny. My wife and I like going to Milk and Honey part way down Sadler Gate. My personal favourite is the German hotdog stand that opens up August - December time. There's usually an event or attraction set up in the space infront of the Assembly Rooms during the festive periods. You do get 1 or 2 people asking if you can spare them some change for the bus, just had one before I started this as it happens. Wanted 80p or could change a £5 note, weird cos it's about £4.80 for a single to Burton, he tried, bless him XD

Shops are standard, but the feel of the actual shopping centre isn't the best. Would be a lot better with doing up to be more modern and fresh
