😐 I remember coming here ages ago when it was a huge bustling car boot sale - before a pandemic, before a Brexit vote, before Back to the Future day. It surprised me even then that they charged not only the sellers (£8/car) but the public (£1/adult) as well. The website says the events average 220 car... People often mention boot, people, time,

I remember coming here ages ago when it was a huge bustling car boot sale - before a pandemic, before a Brexit vote, before Back to the Future day. It surprised me even then that they charged not only the sellers (£8/car) but the public (£1/adult) as well. The website says the events average 220 cars, however there were only about 20-30 on what was admittedly the second fully operational day after the pandemic. Similarly buyers were not clogging up the walkways between stalls. But again, we are after a pandemic and at the time of Russian aggression against Ukraine (which has probably nothing to do with it, I just thought I would mention it). When you arrive and start setting up your stall experienced (and cunnig) traders will go and try to snap up anything of value before the general public arrives. You can decide to do a deal with them, but they will try to con you as much as they can. Don't fall for the 'let's flip a coin' trick (I say 40, you say 45, let's flip a coin and if you win I pay 45). Quite a few buyers will want something for nothing, so if you have quality goods, try to sell them on online, go to a car boot sale in a posher area, or be prepared to sell for a lower price. All in all, it is a well organised and well run place.

Unfortunately this carboot has had its day extremely badly run these days there's no advertising when they are closing for a week they don't let visitors know such a shame people came from all-over the east Midlands to this Sunday boot every week now its not worth getting out of bed for here's hoping for a new owner SOON it can be saved if run by the correct people this was a community hub people met here every week the atmosphere was electric its like a community centre has been closed down shame on you Nottingham City Council for the demise of this weekly event.

Nice place, quite small compared to others. £1 entry for adults, kids free. Large car park available.

Used to really enjoy coming here for a wonder around. Not been for years but popped down this weekend. Arrived at 10.45 and some of the few people who were there were already packing up. No where near as big as it used to be - maybe a quarter of the size. Everyone was very friendly though .

Management can't even be bothered to turn up. Another one cancelled while everyone is queueing. Stay away it's a clown show

Too many times had been cancelled for nothing, today 7th of August just because the people from management didn't show up we had to wait for an hour! Disappointed totally!

Less than 20 stalls there today. It's not worth even the £1 entry fee. Save yourself a day and go to Ripley car boot on the Saturdays

Its getting expensive and charge for entry has rocketed high and also not much of a variety of choice except its mainly used clothing getting sold, when it first started the car boot entry was free and then after year or so it started charging 20p and after a while it went to 25p, 30p,50p,80p and now eventually it is £1 and I wouldn't mind paying the £1 entry but it's not like it used to be because at first they had lots of variety of stalls and car boots but the variety is not there any more and to top it off you can actually buy things cheaper on the Facebook. Thankyou

They don't give advance notice if it won't be opened. People travel to get there to find it closed. Need to improve with this

Says it opens at 7:30 and didn't open until 8:30 so stood around awaiting when I could have been in bed! There wasn't loads of vendors but enough and only a fruit man! Thought there would have been a meat van and vegetables! Did find some bargains though

Always a great atmosphere. Always find a rare item or three. I concider lot of the traders family. Known some for decades. Sit with a cuppa and or freshly made breakfast cobs >> strangers will spark conversations about wht you've bought. Its on a bus route. I love it. You would too.

An interesting event, you can always find something you like with cheap price if you have enough time to look around.

Held a stall there, got rid of plenty of stuff and made a bit of money. Recommend for clearing out but everyone obviously wants everything for nothing.

Not many cars selling stuff when I went. Traders were basically closing up before 10am too.

I don't know if I visited on a bad day but there weren't many sellers and those that were there really didn't have anything of quality (I know... its a carboot).

I went this morning 13/2/2022 and made it at 8:30am but there was no cars there or any stalls anywhere, it was my first time here and I followed Google maps all the way there. It led me to a fair with 2 big car parks so that had to be the right area. Maybe I'll go again when it says it's not raining on the weather, the website did say the market was open too and people were asking me if the market was open. I have no idea lol, least I had a good walk this morning. Next time please put closed status if no one is there, thankyou!
