Hello Asda Long Eaton Team, Incident Date : 8th Oct Sunday at around 2. I am Jithin who lives in Long Eaton and a very very regular shopper to Asda Long Eaton because of accessibility, availability and quality. In the recent times I have been facing radical and unpleasant experience from the Security officer/lady at the Entrance. Today's case was very unethical - Me and my friend were shopping and didn't realize we hopped all our items into an old man's trolley. We didn't realize this until we dropped our items into the car. You can check the cctv at the parking as well. As we realized this isn't our items we managed to quickly come over to the security to hand over the items to the right person. The security lady just quickly reacted by using terms like you were the guys who stole the items and used the words "stealing" "stole" multiple times. We had to explain her that we don't have any intention as such and it is a pure mistake. She wasn't ready to accept it and still was using phrases like "if it's not yours why did you steal" This isn't something I am ready to accept as a regular shopper at Asda. I wish the Asda team really takes this as a serious issue and take a stringent action on the lady. Let me know if this is addressed

After 8pm no tills open so if you have a full trolley and badly performing self scanning equipment it WILL take you twice as long to check out as shop, I almost gave up in disgust and left everything there, not good ASDA, please sort thx, there were 4 ladies fixing incorrect scans , why not have one of them on a till for 2 hours? I'm puzzled

Hi Team, this is in regarding the Women(Security) who stands near the Exit, After My Billing today by mistakly put my stuff in another Trolley and went out and was putting my stuff in car then realized one bag was not mine, so I went back to return the stuff to security women who will be near exit so instead of thanking me she started creating scene by telling I STOLE it , I think she does not understand what is stealing and what is returning back. I Request Asda to take strick action against this women .This is not good part on customers these people do . Thank you

After 8pm no checkouts open. Only self scan. No good for the main family shop with a trolley full. Plenty of staff all really helpful and pleasant but do yourself a favour Asda and keep a manned checkout open. Not everyone wants to self scan and we shouldn't need to ask as per your response to others below my review.

Staff are ignorant, leave you waiting when they have clearly seen you obviously just can't be arsed. Don't see the point in the shop being open at 7am if you can't get cashback from customer service till 8am and you can't get tobacco or drinks from the front counter till 8am.... pointless..... may aswell tell people half the shop is closed till 8am or whenever you van be arsed to serve. Never anyone on till so they expect you to do the work of a checkout person after already doing full day at work.When the heck did rule of no more than 3 in the value range come in? How pathetic.

Back to school at Asda never fails to dissapoint. They are always very well stocked and you can find whatever you want. Everything is usually high quality, and will last quite long. The sizes go from starting primary, to leaving secondary, and shoes tend to be for the younger ones. They have reasonable priced garments and accessories for all sizes, slim - plus sizes.

Assulted by a female security guard here today. Apparently beeping at the exit and not stopping to chat justifys assaulting a disabled person, blocking their car from leaving and being a disgusting human being. Only the police have a right to touch me. Won't be back.

Used café this morning to find 1 member of staff having to serve cook and clear which I had no issue with her but Asda need to staff the café better as I watched 2 customers leave in the queue as the 1 member of staff could not be everywhere! More staff Asda!

Always a good place to shop. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff. I've just read some of the other reviews. I can't believe them. I live in Nottingham, work in long eaton, so it's easy to call in on my way home during the week. At the weekend, I drive to this store (9 miles). There's 2 asda stores an awful lot closer to me, but I still go to long eaton. The girls will go out of their way for you where possible. I've not met a rude member of staff there in the 12 months that I've been going in. (At least 6 times a week). Believe me, if I'd ever been treated discourteous, or had any of the girls been rude to me, the manager would definitely know about it. As I said, I drive 9 miles to this particular store because I'm treated with respect and with courtesy. I have only 1 complaint and that is, each time I put the lottery on in there, I always ask for the jackpot winning ticket. I've never been given it.

Amazing sale, racks and racks!! Had a lovely toastie with chips and a drink for a fiver. Best chips i have had for ages. No issues with my wheelchair at this store.

Most of the cafe staff are okay. The small lady is VERY impolite. Never says please, thank you or smile. Last time I ordered scampi & chips.I showed her my bus pass to get the over 60's offer but she charged me the full price. I didn't realise until I got home.

I was shopping at Asda Long Eaton on Wednesday. I went to self checkout and found I had no purse. The staff were wonderful. They checked my shopping trolley and then they checked everywhere I had been. Bev (I think is a supervisor)came with me to check my car. I was really lucky because my purse had fallen out in the car. By this time I was nearly in tears. Bev came back into the shop with me. Got my shopping through the till. Then came and loaded my shopping into the car. The young lady on the information desk was also very helpful and asked all staff to check the floor as they were working and asked till people to notify her if it was handed in. She also took my name and phone number to notify me if it turned up. All your staff were wonderful. I’m in my late 60’s and disabled and was treated so well. Brigitte Gallagher I am sitting in the restaurant right this minute after having problems with my mobility scooter, I asked if I could charge it they told me no it has to be pat tested, I have absolutely no way of getting home since I am disabled and cannot walk to the bus stop, customer service was not very helpful, when I burst into tears so now I am sitting here waiting for my husband to pick me up in me hours time, I won’t be shopping here again the people were not at all concerned with my problems even at the restaurant I tried to get a cup of tea clearly very upset and the woman behind the counter was indifferent to me what’s happened to kindness, utterly disgusted!!!!!

I visit Asda today was helped to scan x pack by this wonderful assistant Denise thank you for all you help ,very grateful customer who had broken arm

I visited on a Monday at 6.30pm. The shopping experience wasn't too bad (shop tidy, shelves stocked). When it came to paying, however, only one checkout was open out of a total of around twelve checkouts. The one, open, checkout had a longish queue. The queue moved slowly and it was around 10 minutes before I was served. At least this delay gave those of us in the queue a chance to discuss how asda had gone down hill over the last few years. This store has self serve areas for both baskets *and trolleys*. It seems asda want their customers to serve themselves, regardless of how much shopping they are buying. The eventual cost of my shopping was high. With so few staff on the checkouts I'm surprised prices are so high (staffing costs seem to have been cut to the bone - either that, or perhaps they are all in hiding). I won't be coming back to this shop unless asda cut their prices and offer a discount for me to serve myself (if you want me to do the work, asda, I'd like paying please). Alternatively, open some checkouts and take more care of the people that are still keeping your shop in business. Asda need to remember that there are at least two supermarket chains that are cheaper, who don't expect their customers queue to pay for their trolleys of shopping (or serve themselves).

A gentleman said come over to the self service check out as the other checkouts were so busy.Cole helped us with our check out and packing today. A couple of items didnt have prices on.He couldnt do enough for us. What a great service. What a great member of staff. A real asset to your store.

Would give it no stars. The lady at the till left a tag on my kids coat and the alarm went off and a elderly male searched me and my bags in the front doorway with no other person with him and then just said sorry for the inconvenience. Going to take this further.

I don't very often use Asda because I don't drive. I bought a some t shirts and some food.

Food, prices, cleanliness, range all good. Till supervisor. Jane very rude and unhelpful. Tried to phone store to complain and a message directs you to online and cutsbyou off

Just been in to a nearly empty Asda staff telling people hurry up closing soon only one manned till open self service equipment not working kiosk staff rude and ignoring customers multiple staff standing doing nothing ignoring waiting customers so due to terrible service and lazy staff I had no option to leave trolly of shopping behind and leave store I give one star cause can't give less

Convenience for a dedicated shop. For many locals a childhood shop, although the original store was improved on. Moved across the car park made larger. Classics roam these aisels, and this store is wellbeing centred in many ways.

A generally good supermarket. They still mess about with their prices so as to confuse customers and to ensure their margins are there. Having said that, it's still cheaper than Tesco but not as Aldi.
