A brilliant park for jogging , running and camping. It’s beautiful with scenic park , ducks and very pleasant environment. There is a walkway beside the beautiful lake and has several seating locations to relax. A good place for picnic . Take a mat , snacks and enjoy time with family.

Beautiful country park, I was struck by how clean it was. No litter anywhere, a rarity these days! Great place for a dog walk and brilliant for children, saw cormorants, herons and the little woodland tracks and pathways are great for exploring.

Lovely place. Nice surprise with the planet trail and cafe. Staff were lovely and opened the toilets back up so my 2 year old potty training son could go! Note. Toilets close at 4pm

Lovely afternoon wander around the pond, lots of sweet babies to see! Really great amenities, lots of seating, and the gym bit amused my boyfriend for a while.

One of my favourite parks to visit. There are public toilets and a shop to buy snacks from. Nice place to take a walk in and there are also tennis courts as well.

I have been walking these grounds for years and it is still a lovely and peaceful place with lots of trails. Needs a bit of upkeep here and there but it is still a lovely place to go. My kids love it.

Beautiful park, great playground and outdoor gym. I did the park run here and it was a lovely flat route, it made a great change to Markeaton and I'll definitely go again. Only down side was for some reason the cafe there was shut off so sitting outside was the only option.

Nice park with a lake that is obviously very popular for locals. A dog friendly cafe that offers the kind of food you want on a walk (bacon cob etc). Surrounding grass area on a Sunday appears to be primarily sports ground, no issues as that is what it is there for, but worth being aware of as the carpark can get busy and the fields are mainly taken up with football being played, so best to have dog on a leash and stick to the path round the lake etc. Doesn't take away the niceness of the park. It isn't a huge park so don't expect a long visit except maybe in nicer weather when picnics may be had.

Nice fun fair, decent price to get in and adults are free. Live dinosaur shows are special and great too, kid enjoys it. The playground in the park itself is a good sized one too with lots of facilities for kids to play.

Love this park, the football pitches are well looked after and good for walking a small dog on the nicely cut grass. Lots of lovely separate areas and fabulous trees. Plenty of water birds including geese and swans.

Lovely place, friendly ducks and birds! Parrots can be spotted as well, definitely recommended to spend free time.

Nice Park, pleasant people in ice cream booth serving, bins need emptying but busy weekend so easy to overlook

Sadly, unfortunately, Derby City Council have really let this park go a little. I used to visit here all the time. The grass isn’t cut properly, someone’s quite literally cutting corners when doing the grass, over grown areas of shrubs. There was a park that was renewed but it’s no longer there, it’s been replaced with another adventure area however. The lake is a really nice feature, it’s just a shame that the bushes and shrubs are not maintained. The toilets could do with a clean and need monitoring. The flush is also broke on the Mens toilets. A nice place for a walk but not as nice it used to be.

It is a nice area plenty of parking, though it can be tricky if you don't know your way around the area. Fair amount of benchs to rest and watch your kids play in the play area. One thing I have not seen however is the restrooms.

Lovely park with plenty to occupy children: play park, gym, ducks, lots of grassy areas. The cafe has a range of food and drinks, sure to find something you can enjoy if you haven't packed your own. Really great that they sell food for the ducks at 50p a bag. Too much bread isn't good for them, so I like this option.

We had a nice walk round the pond. We fed the ducks and swans. It was fresh but enjoyable. It was also nice to see people sailing their boats.

Nice spot in the middle of Alvaston, my son loves feeding the ducks and the fact the parakeets nest there. Free parking and the cafe is very nice too without being ridiculously expensive. The real let down is that the play area is a bit sparse, it seems like an afterthought and not a great one. Moan over and I'd say this is a lovely green space in suburbia that's free for a change.
