Vernon park is a large neighbourhood park that has seen considerable investment in recent years including a new pavilion with a community room, a high quality football pitch, floodlit tennis courts, public toilets, increased on site parking and a new children’s play area. Vernon Park its has a Green Flag. The pond area backs onto Basford Library and is very popular with anglers, walkers and wildlife watchers. Recently the pond has had considerable investment with new fishing platforms, boardwalk, platform for teaching angling, and works to reinforce the banks.

Beautiful Park near my home with a large pond, and in autumn the colours are lovely.

A quiet nice park in the neighborhood. You can go, sit and relax there. A big playground for kids and gym facilities for adults are there which makes it your first choice.

Lovely park. Unfortunately, the usual scumbags litter it with tons of beer cans in summer.

I'm biased as it's my local park, but it really does have everything you could want from a park (with the exception of refreshments). It's a council hub aswell so the park is kept maintained which makes a change from some council owned/run parks in the city.

There is a large pond where you can see many beautiful birds. There is also a playground.

Good family oriented park with lake and children's play area, outdoor gym, and football field, popular for fishing and loads of ducks to feed.

Fab park.. sometimes too many dogs not on a lead and young youths that let it down but that's just on an odd occasion. We love feeding the ducks. Playground is abit dated and could do with a revamp

What was once a beautiful green space has just been left to fall into ruin. The duck pond is disgusting and the way youths treat the wildlife here is worse still. The park is old and very worn out too.

This is my local park. I enjoy it throughout the changing seasons. The tree lined walks are beautiful; the pond is interestingly busy with life; the park is dog-friendly. The toilet facilities are adequate, and include provision for those with disabilities. There's a small car park.
