A great place for families. Free parking for blue badge holders. Nice little cafe open from 10am each day. Toilets are easily accessible and clean there is a baby changing room. Fantastic playground with climbing frame, slides and a zip wire. At the moment they have an Halloween trail through the woodland ...follow the eyes and seek out the pumpkins 🎃. Lovely views over the reservoir. I would definately visit again.

Nice place to take a walk. Quite a lot of picnic benches scattered around which is great. The play area is decent for kids to play in. There are public toilets and a shop to buy food from and also a water fountain to fill up your water bottle which isn't common in most places.

Just skirt around one side of this reservoir on Calke Abbey's Purple route walk. Couple of benches to sit on along the trek and great viewing from the bridge that crosses the reservoir before ascending back to the Calke Abbey car park.

Lovely Reservoir to visit. My children love the park, especially the zip line. In the woods there's a rope swing too.

Delightful place for a picnic especially if you have small children. Well equipped play ground overlooking the reservoir with scenic walks through woodland and grass meadows. Toilets on site with a small cafe and information centre. Carpark £3.00 for all day parking.

Nice reservoir, great for short walks or taking the dogs if you have them. There's a small cafe for drinks and ice cream, always popular wit families and kids.

Had a brilliant circular walk around here that led up to Calke Abbey and a halfway pint in the village of Ticknal. The reservoir itself is beautiful, offers plenty of parking (£2.50) and a play area for the kids.

The Stanton Harold Reservoir is a beautiful place to visit, there is a tower windmill lake, forest and boat ride. There is a cafe and you can do sun bathing laying on grass. As for the car park, there is paid, but if you are a national trust member. Recommend place to go

Love coming here with my boys! Loads of little areas to explore with them! Amazing play area! Not bad for a few quid parking charge 😀
