Lovely well kept and clean park. Trees and plants are beautiful. Childrens park is also clean and tidy with a choice of swings and rides all on rubber/soft ground. Refreshment kiosk is quirky and well stocked with lovely drinks. Peaceful and lovely place.

I have just enjoyed a pleasant lockdown stroll in the park. There's a beautiful Victorian bandstand, mature trees and pretty Spring flowers, poking through the verges. A relaxing place to visit.

Lovely gardens in the middle of Ilkeston with a kids park, and refreshments at the bare foot hut. I wouldn't make a special trip if you don't live close by though as there is not a lot there.

Yet another great park / public place in our area. Beautiful Gardens with a renovated band stand, bowling green, children's playground, yet only a short walk from the Market Place. The park looks very different depending upon which season it is, the colurs of autumn are so stunning this year. March 2022 fabulous display of crocuses.

A great place to meet friends in this climate of outside meetings. A nice park for the children to play. Plenty of benches and seats and a great drinks kiosk with warming hot chocolate and cream with marshmallows or just a cuppa or a flat white coffee. Beautiful site with good parking . Lots of squirrels and wildlife with a novel bugs palace . Well worth a visit 🐿

Victoria Park is a lovely place to visit, especially in the summer time when all the flowers are in bloom. I do feel like the park however is super dated, not great for younger kids or even very accessible for children with disabilities.

A beautiful well kept park, full of colour with wonderful flower arrangements in the spring and summer. Plenty of benches, free parking, a children's play area and even free table tennis! (Take your own balls and bats)

Hey there, fellow Ilkeston locals and friends! 🌟 I couldn't wait to share with you the little piece of paradise I recently discovered – Victoria Park in Ilkeston. If you're a mum with small children, part of a big family, or a loving couple looking for a peaceful escape, this place is an absolute must-visit. And trust me, it's not just another recommendation; it's like sharing a secret hideaway with a dear friend. First and foremost, Victoria Park is all about making cherished memories. As a family photographer, I'm always on the lookout for places that resonate with the spirit of family and togetherness. Here, you'll find just that. The kids can run freely, couples can steal quiet moments, and large families can create beautiful bonds amidst the lush greenery. There's something truly magical about the playground – where laughter fills the air and children's imaginations take flight. I've witnessed countless smiles and joyous giggles here, and it warms my heart every time. It's the kind of place where you can't help but capture the happiness in photographs, preserving those memories for generations to come. As I strolled through the park, I couldn't help but think what an ideal location it is for a photoshoot. The natural beauty, the vibrant colours of the flowers, and the serene atmosphere make it the perfect backdrop for capturing your family's legacy. So, whether you're looking for a relaxing day out, a place for your kids to play, or considering a photoshoot location, Victoria Park has it all. Trust me; it's a little slice of heaven right here in Ilkeston.

A beautiful little park which once in feels almost totally away from the town around it and the hustle and bustle that goes with it Very pretty spot and well maintained, a very welcome spot to while away some of the day and take a much deserved break

A wonderful little oasis of peace in a busy urban location. A clean and tidy park well used by families and dog walkers. There is good selection of well maintained paths to follow, which form a wonderful circuit around a wonderful array of shrub and flower beds.

A small but very cozy and beautiful park with a great variety of flowers and trees. Ideal for walks with children, as there is a playground on the territory. We love to spend time here with our family!

I went to visit this park again. Once again it was well maintained, kids playing area was clean, the shower pod was used by kids and in working order. The public toilet was closed, which did make many mothers upset on the day. What I was shocked about was parks attendants refusal to allow child with special needs to use toilet for less abled people ?! This was not acceptable, he tried justifying his actions saying that child needed a key (given by council to less able people) firmly refusing to let 3 years old boy to use the loo. Just few weeks ago, I gave a good rating about this park and would hate to see its rating being trashed by arrogant and discriminatory park attendent. Unfortunatelly, I am going to have to write to local council about the matter. If you come to the park and the toilets are closed, I'd suggest to do the same.

Spectacular flower display this year and the wild flower patches keep changing..We love to walk around under the old trees trying to guess what they are before checking out the name tags. This is such a lovely idea which we appreciate very much. Thankyou to all the grounds people who keep the park in fantastic shape
