My son attended a swim party here where they were the only ones in the entire facility. He was the only kid not allowed to swim in the normal pool area because he's a little short for his age. They told him he had to be in the toddler pool. He looked through holes in a concrete barrier that separated the two pools at his friends playing together. He brought a certified kid life jacket but they did not allow him to use it. He cried more than he's ever cried in his 8 years on this planet. tell me how a life saving device is not allowed in a pool. Will never go to CR public pools ever again

It’s a good place for introducing swimming for kids. The instructors are very nice too. It’s our responsibility to take care of our own stuff. They have limited staffs with their own responsibility. It will be nice if the staff could help but it’s not their responsibility.

We are so lucky to have access to the pool at Bender.. I go a few times a week to enjoy their water Aerobics classes. A clean facility and nice changing rooms. The price to attend is only $6 per class or you can purchase a punch pass for 20 visits.

Always clean and nice and non expensive will always bring the kiddos here

My daughter started swimming lessons here. The staff is great, and the lessons seems to help. It's very easy to get to, and its great for the Midwest. Indoor pools are needed :-)

I chose this pool for water aerobics and for the free hour of pool to do walking. It is supposed to be heated, I chose this because I have Fibromyalgia and chronic pain from my back surgery, I get leg cramps if the water is to cold. So far it has been cool to cold instead of warm as advertised. I hope after this second shut down for repairs that the water is a lot warmer!!!!

Pretty average small indoor pool

Nice indoor pool. The little waterslide is fun for the kids. Temperature is usually ok both in the water and the building. There is a nice shallow area that is nice for the littler kids. I wish it was open more.

Nice small pool for some laps or kids swimming lessons.

We have been coming for swim lessons for about 9 years now. Our 2 kids went from puddle jumpers -- they JUST passed level 4 this weekend. We highly recommend Bender to anyone! Especially in the winter to get them out of the house and moving! Sign up fills up fast! The lifeguards are very knowledgeable in their duties and are kind to every child! Bender is the best!

Once you get past the chlorine burn, it's not a bad facility for indoor swimming.
