Accommodating chefs at Izumi Restaurant! Look for Chef Peter and Chef Paul if you want to have a great dining experience. My son’s second time to celebrate his birthday! Beautiful moment for the family and friends. Sushi and Teppanyaki are the best! Must try here in Mauritius! Shout out to Jeff for the great service. Keep it up!

This hotel is a joke. If you are reading this, please ignore all previous comments about praising this hotel. This hotel doesn’t even deserve a star. I’m so disappointed, it use to be such a nice hotel with good staff but now its not worth it at all. Bad management, terrible organisation, 0% customer service.

Cute area of Port Chambly. Hotel sits on top with great views. Hotel is surprisingly noisy. Staff completely clueless. Rooms are large but old. AC is very loud. Fast Internet! Small but lovely pool. Restaurants can be quite nice.

Extremely bad experience! Stay away from this hotel. Everything is very bad! The hotel, the facilities, the room, the cleaning, the food, the service. I have stayed with them for 3 nights recently and I cannot find one good thing of this hotel. Firstly the rooms are open to the central area of the hotel, also opened on the sushi restaurant on the first floor. That means that all the smell from the cooking is everywhere in the hotel. As soon as you arrive you are taken away from the smell of fried food! Moving around the hotel feels dirty as if it has not been properly cleaned since it was built! My room was old and full of hairs from previous guests. Long, short, dark or light. You name it, they were in my room. Many places of the room were covered in dust that had been there since ages. The breakfast is very poor and very low quality. Service is bad and slow. On the last day I found out that they can also prepare eggs. Guess what? It is difficult to know if nobody gives you a menu or tells you what you can order for breakfast. Even the tables are not set after the previous guests leave. I tried dinner in both the restaurants and it’s below average in both. The Mediterranean had decent service but the food was bad! Who makes fish and chips with salmon??? The sushi restaurant is on the same level but overall the food doesn’t feel fresh or of good quality. Unfortunately there are no other dining options around. Overall extremely bad experience. I’ll surely never book again this hotel and I suggest everyone to look elsewhere.

Excellent breakfast. Very good and pleasant service. Eggs prepared well. Nice side of beans. But more importantly, the service was excellent. The spa was also well attended with a good sauna running from early morning. A very convenient place to stay for business in Port Louis.

I visited along with friends for the day package. We were all vegetarians and had informed about our food preference well in advance so as to ensure we have a variety on that day. Unfortunately, on that day, there was only mushroom soup as starter. When we complained that most of us were not willing to have mushroom soup, they told us that it was the only thing available under the set menu for the day package; anything else would be charged. The staff was not at all flexible and ready to serve fries even and ultimately agreed to serve after quite some time resulting in us enjoying only half session at the spa. Moreover, we were served a chicken pasta and a friend who has never even tasted chicken her whole life took a bite from that dish. This was a lack of respect towards faith of somebody which was not expected from an apparently classy 4* hotel.

Lack of staff. Went for dinner there was a white guy working at the restaurant maybe he was the manager or supervisor of the restaurant he was shouting at other staff by using bad word against them arguing infornt the guest making us to listen his unwanted conversation. The special thing is that after we had seat we have noticed that on the table there was a pot and there was some flower but mosquito had layed egg in that water which was inside of the pot of water. That water has not been change almost for one week so that the mosquito was able to lay egg on that water

The hotel was so beautiful and the view from our room was splendid. We had the best holiday there. The staffs were warm and friendly. We were always assisted with anything. We made special requests which were taken seriously by the team. They offer a lot of complimentary activities. We recommend it to anyone and will surely comeback.

Its not like a 4 star experience. Rooms are ok. Staff is very friendly, very good. Efficient. But I didn't enjoy the hotel experience. Room didn't have toiletries. Toilet doesn't have water spray. Hotel did provide with multi plug adapter. These are things we expect from a 4 star hotel.

Poor services, cockroach in glass, AC leaking and hanging, remote tv not working and other horrible services. I am leaving tomorrow and would like Mr. Warren to take note of this chaotic situation. Still had to wait for long before the staff attend..Never Again!!!

This was simply the perfect place for our stay! We’re from Ghana and visited in January. We got in on a Monday , it was a 45mins drive from the airport. The hotel environment is extremely serene, in a village (away from the city). Great food! (there’s a Japanese restaurant in house - Izumi). NB: Breakfast doesn’t have much variety, but that was fine, it allowed us to explore more options for food while we were out exploring the country. The room was beautiful and the view is breathtaking 💕 plus there’s a swing! I will definitely miss the view from our room. 🥺 The staff were super nice! On our last day, Our flight on Kenya Airways delayed by 7 hours - we were supposed to check out of the hotel at 11am, the manager extended checkout till 9pm!! I’ve never received such kindness from any hotel EVER! Overall, this is a great choice for our stay in Mauritius, especially if you want to avoid staying in the city. Side - note, you may underestimate the hotel from the outside…don’t 😃

The granite path to the hotel is uneven and it remembers you are entering an enclosed sanctuary. Once you sit down and enjoy the view with a fine beer and start observing around , you will then admire and understand the force of the nature

The service was impeccable, I had some issues on the first night due to bad elevator but they switched my room and that just made my 2weeks of stay more interesting. The staff are accomodating, the restaurant is good and the whole hotel gives Venice vibes. Lots of new things to see each time I came out of my room. I love the fact that the hotel gives a different vibe at each time of the day

Had my wedding there, the service was amazing, the staff had always been kind and helpful thought out the whole process. The food was delicious. The room was clean and spacious and the view was one of a kind

What an amazing place...quiet, neat, clean, the staff are polite, professional and so helpful. I would give the location a 4, as it was a bit difficult to get to other places but, having said that, one could just stay at the hotel and be in paradise. Would also like to add that the 2 staff we interacted with amongst others who went out of their way to make our stay amazing....Isha at the Spa and Neha at the front desk were so helpful....I didn't get the name of the lady that cleaned our room in the afternoons, also....the chef at the tepanyaki restaurant....he overheard us asking the waiter for veg options and he responded that he can make something veg for us gladly

  • 3/5 Karthik A. 1 year ago on Google
Though near a lagoon, the views are really good. However they have fewer or no vegan options for food and hence the stay was quite difficult

Nice hôtel, picturesque bayview. rooms were clean and neat, food was awesome at La Fourchette restaurant. A big thanks to F&B Manager, Mr Sonah who cares for each and every customer's needs. Rapid service & food was just too yummy.

Tiny lounge.. the waiters do not clean the tables to accomodate entering customers.. Piano show is a plus point.

Dear Management, It's very unfortunate but I have to say that my latest experience at the space was atrocious. I booked a Brazilian wax for 11 am, but I got a call to push my appointment for an hour later. That's excusable of course, however the product used to perform my wax was everything but proper. Does the space manager check their products before a treatment ? Please note that we are speaking about a very sensitive region on a woman's body ! The wax wouldn't dry as fast as it should and it would break all the time leaving awful pain. The therapist knew that the product was bad and she apologised however it doesn't cover the fact that I paid full price for a treatment that was incomplete because the spa couldn't be mindful about its products. Arriving at the checkout point/Spa reception, the lady in charge was nothing but inconsiderate. She insisted that the product is good and they have done with with several customers (please note that the therapist clearly apologised saying this has never happened before when in the treatment room with me) and that she will have to check to know. This is a shame for the Ninty Six hotels to be honest. Where's the customer service that you normally provide ? Being a former resident, its sad to see how lightly issues are handled within the spa now. Please consider. Thank you.

A nice hotel in a gated community. It is a very quiet place, relaxing and you should go there if you want to relax. The hotel is not on the beach, but there is a nice pool with a nice view. The rooms are comfortable and large, and the staff friendly and efficient. Overall a very nice gem in Mauritius.

While the rooms are decent, the hotel is located remotely. All these are acceptable but the service is absolutely horrendous. Staff are overworked and the management are rude to a point where they just care about pointing out asking for things will be charged extra. Booking this hotel is a mistake. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It's a beautiful hotel giving you Mediterranean vibes with a picturesque view of river and sea. And we felt like home staying in that beautiful hotel with a very down to earth hotel staff, they were all very helpful and try their best to help as much as possible from the restaurant staff to the receptionist. And a very big Thank you to Vikash Sir and his team to make us feel so good all the time. Location wise it's far from city and not at all walkable, so it's necessary to have a mode of transport fixed. There are local shops selling daily stuff but they are all at a distance and nothing near by.

If you want a perfectly aligned harmony between buildings, trees, river and the sea, this place would be your to go place. Not only would you like this place because of its view but also for the friendly staff which included a little kitty to keep you company.

The Hotel is one of a gorgeous view. It feels like in Athens. I was given a room with a view of the river meeting the sea. It was spectacular. The staffs was warm and friendly. They were always available for any help needed. The activities offered by the hotel were fun and sporty. However the hotel package is only half board, ful board would be much appreciated. The restaurant there were horrible, the chef and staffs of the restaurant were acting too disinterested in their jobs. They forget to bring my order and did not even apologise for it. After i asked for my order, I was served with food just taken from fridge. There was still ice on it.

We had a short stay during the weekend but it was nice, room was clean and neat, picturesque view of the bay, Food was awesome, we had diner à lacarte at La Fourchette restaurant. We thanked Mr Sonah, F&B Manager for the prompt service at resto, varieties of veg food there and his dedication towards his job. Really appreciated 🙏

If I could, I would give this hotel a negative score (minus 5 seems appropriate). While the staff at the reception was friendly and helpful, the hotel does not deserve a good rating overall. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and every single night there was a party at the hotel restaurants. This means extremely loud music until the wee hours. It really seemed as if we were staying in a room above a club or discotheque. Needless to say we hardly got any sleep at all. Changing rooms was of no avail either since the music was so loud you could hear it miles away from the hotel. This is not how we imagined our stay in Mauritius to be at all. We do not recommend to stay at this hotel to say the very least.

Friendly and helpful staff. My first night was a total nightmare, I didn't sleep all night as the phone kept constantly ringing till 7am. The place lacks activities for children. Need more staff to improve the service as we can see, same working everyday morning and evening. Housekeeping service seriously needs to be looked at as the room was not clean properly Hotel recommended for adults only.

The hotel requires urgent renovation works. In addition there is a lot to improve in terms of customer care, customer convenience and service. If you are used to the level of service of Henessy and Labourdonnais you will be shocked at the Address Boutique. Izumi was a nice experience and the new F&B Manager did his best to ensure our stay was pleasant. A beautiful cadre and a hotel with much potential though

Horrid and overall disappointing experience. Wouldn't recommend to tourists, especially those with families The hotel is located in a very relaxing environment overlooking a waterfront. The good: The parrot at the entrance and the overall ambiance of the place. The bad: Everything else. Reception: Upon arrival at the Hotel, we received no help when removing out bags from the taxi. One of the men meant to help with that was just looking at us. At the reception area, we felt very unwelcome. The staff were pretty cold. We carried our own bags from the reception area to our room. The room: We were in the junior suite and it was so underwhelming. It's a glorified deluxe room at best, from the look of the room to it's facilities. However, the view from the room is breathtaking. You'll see the most beautiful sunrise and sunset. We had an issue with ants and a huge cockroach. We asked for help from the reception and received none. The suite is placed in a very odd place. It's right above the restaurant and next to the pool, it's not sound proofed very well so you can hear noise from the lobby and the restaurant. You can hear music from the restaurant. The balcony that comes with it isn't very private. Someone from the pool area can see you very well. Investing in a mosquito net couldn't hurt either. The rooms could use a major face-lift. The service: Terrible. There's no better way of putting it. Getting anything rom room service to a glass of orange juice at the restaurant takes ages. The reception staff, basically most of the staff are incredibly rude and unfriendly. The food: We were on half board basis and the variety of the food was terrible. There's no variety at all be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. They served us with cold rice and bbq meat for dinner. That was all. I'd advice to go the à la carte way, significantly better. The gym: It's pretty well equipped. The spa: I had scheduled for a "relax and revitalise" massage an the reception was so bad. We were given a key to a locker to get our robes and got shoved into a toilet cum shower to change into. The staff were so rude that I pulled out of the massage. How this hotel got a 4 star is beyond me. It's an overpriced 2/3 star that has a waterfront. The hotel is also far from everything so be warned. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay more than 1 night. The racial profiling was also quite something.

Massive let down. Only hotel that made us do a rapid antigen test on check in - this was not mentioned on booking by phone nor did they mention they would charge us for it on check out. Also if part if the reason you're booking is to eat at Izumi then just got the room and forget all the food package. Half board includes a dinner at Izumi but what they don't tell you is that there is nothing from the normal menu available to eat. Instead is a set menu with fried chicken/beef noodles... We ordered extra from the menu to get sushi (which to be fair was really good). Massive let down all in all.
