We recently stayed at Rowhill Utopia & Spa Hotel as I bought the Refresh & Renew package for a friends birthday treat. The hotel is gorgeous, we were given a complimentary upgrade to our room we stayed in Hibiscus room which was lovely, room was clean, bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a lovely bath and shower. The reception staff were so polite and very welcoming. The spa was simply wonderful, not over crowded and it was real delight. The dinner was lovely, and the waiting staff were super attentive and very accommodating, service and food was great. Treatments were lovely. Only disappointment was being woken up at 3am from the fire alarm and then our alarm in our room went off at 6am so not a very restful sleep. Breakfast was lovely great choice and selection of foods. Would highly recommend.

Room was nice. Came with a sofa at end of the bed. Bathroom modern, but why on earth doesn’t the shower have a door, more water ends up on the floor than goes down the plug hole. Breakfast very nice but only starts from 7am. Bar evening meal, had to send the calamari back twice and ask for it to be taken off my bill. Very chewy. Cheap chips accompanied the burger, which for £17/18 if I remember was pretty poor. I had the Eton mess which was tiny and poncy. They used a few micro meringue bits with a slither of sorbet to accompany it. It’s not a Michelin star restaurant, all guests want is simple and tasty dishes, which most of the menu is very straightforward to cook for any half decent chef. Would I stay here again, yes but I would find a restaurant/ pub local to eat at.

This was our 3rd visit to this spa - overnight package with £40 towards dinner (no drinks inc) £415 per room. Took our 2 adult daughters for younger ones 21st birthday treat so for 4 of us over £800 for 22 hours. Check in 15:00 (very strict over check in time ) and check out next day at 11:00 (allowed to use spa until 13:00) Staff - friendly and accommodating Spa facilities good - showers better than in rooms. Treatments - good Cleanliness - very poor. 1st impression walking up the stairs, filthy dirty carpets, corridors and stair wells smell revolting. Room, carpets dirty and poorly hoovered, 1 long dark hair found in sheets and bathroom only in fair condition. Shower is open and therefore makes it hard to maintain as water goes everywhere. No robes had to contact reception. Evening meal - waited a considerable time for food to come and overall food very average and expensive. Breakfast included in the deal - slow again to arrive and not as described on menu - crushed avocado came as a purée with so much lemon juice it was not edible and butter pancakes were from Costco- overall breakfast poor. On top of this at checkout they added a discretionary tip to the bill which was already over £800 for the 4 of us!!!!! Survey completed and response from Steve acknowledging issues and advising will look into it and look forward to our return - not even the offer of a voucher towards another visit not that we would be going back. Overall a very poor experience which was a shame for our girls as we had hyped up how good this spa was. It is one of the most expensive so expected more and got considerably less. I would not return or recommend the overnight spa - day spa maybe a different story but the hotel itself is poor.

Stayed for a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package and was so happy with our stay. We paid extra for the spa access and it was absolutely worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed using all the spa pools, especially the large therapy pool. We felt so relaxed after. Dinner was excellent. We both had the sirloin steak ordered medium rare and it arrived more rare, but this was fine by us. The food was well presented and the table service was outstanding. Breakfast was very good. Fresh coffee brought to our table and a lovely English breakfast. Can't wait to visit again.

WOW. I don't think I can put into words how amazing our stay at Rowhill Grange was but i will give it a good go... we arrived for our check in a little early and was told we was complementary upgraded to a bigger room and it was all ready for us! The greeting from the reception staff was delightful and asked us questions about if we had visited before and what was the occasion. The room was incredible, clean and the bed... wow, i am still dreaming about it now. The pillows and sheets felt so so amazing. We went straight down to the spa which was lovely and so relaxing. The music all around Rowhill gives you the relaxation vibes that you need. I have never felt so calm and happy. We had dinner booked at the RGS restaurant that evening and the service from our waiter Ronnie was exceptional - she was attentive, created a rapport with us and was just an all round amazing person that added to our amazing meal. We had all 3 courses and it was by far one of the best meals i have ever eaten!! We also ate in the elements lounge and again, food and service was next to none. I can truly say i will be coming here until i am old and grey, at least twice a year! I have never felt so refreshed from a spa/hotel stay! If i could give this 10 stars i would!!! Hope to see you again soon Rowhill :)

I first visited Rowhill Grange a few years ago for my birthday when covid restrictions still existed and I remember the lunch being delicious so this time, my husband and I returned for a half spa day experience for our 5 year anniversary. The spa was very quiet (even on a bank holiday weekend) and the roman ruins theme has a luxurious, holiday feel. It has all the facilities you need, heated pool with jets, jacuzzi, steam room, saunas and swimming pool upstairs. The staff were flexible with the food as we were allowed to switch from the 2- course lunch to afternoon tea (the best we've had) and the neck, back and shoulder massage was amazing! There was a bit of a hiccup with our afteroon tea arriving late affected the order of the day. The staff were very helpful and moved the tea to the end of the day which meant we had extra time to spend in the relaxation room for a well deserved nap (tired parents of toddlers here). Overall we had a wonderful experience and will be returning.

Spa element is top notch Restaurant is not quite there, especially given the price but. Some of the food was cold. Rooms were spot on! Setting is lovely. Drinks wise need better options.

The hotel experience started OK - good room and decent spa albeit with some tired faux Roman decorations on the walls. The food was fairly tasty albeit over-priced as many of the reviews have stated. At about 9:30pm the waiting staff started to loudly put out the breakfast crockery for the next day - banging the tea cups down as we were trying to finish our main course. We got the impression the staff were keen to go home so moved on fairly quickly. Sadly, I got food poisoning from the oysters and was quite sick in the night so we had to leave the next day. None of the hotel employees seemed to believe that the food poisoning was down to their cooking so I was asked to fill out a lengthy questionnaire. My wife was in tears at the way we were treated. A few days later, I was informed by email that the hotel would not offer any form of compensation as I did not have a note from my GP nor stool samples to prove the food poisoning was down to the oysters! I have stayed in hotels all around the world and have never had such a poor customer experience from a luxury hotel - would not recommend. EDIT - 4th Nov The saddest thing is that this experience is not even about the oysters nor my illness. It's the way that the front of house staff made my wife and I feel. We know things go wrong and the hotel can't always get everything right. But as you can see, the hotel is doing everything possible to avoid liability for one bad oyster.

We booked a 1 night dinner, breakfast + spa package which included 1 treatment each & £40 each towards the evening meal. On arrival, clean, fresh and super helpful staff. No fuss at all. Straight up to our immaculate rooms, quick change & then headed down to the spa in our robes. The spa has 2 pools, jacuzzi & steam room. Saunas are located in each changing room. Water was a great temperature and it’s a super relaxing environment. Had a cocktail in the bar after and wet our appetites. Dinner was excellent. Day 1 of the autumn menu which included local game, steak, fish and good veggie options. Great wine list, great deserts. 10/10. Breakfast is a nice selection of continental fare & you can order various hot items as well. Our hot food did take a while to come, but ingredients were good quality and it was well cooked. After a quick change, it was time for our massages which were exceptional. The staff took time to ask about injuries, aches pains & my masseuse really fixed some terrible knots in my shoulders. She really was very good. All in all, can’t fault it. Will be back again for sure. Birthday, getaway, anniversary etc-would highly recommend.

We booked the spa day for 4 which was £220 each with a 2 course lunch and a £150 in treatments. Please do not book this spa it is filthy dirty the products are very low quality and the staff are lack lustre. We have been before in 2021 and had a really good day we are all so disappointed with our experience today. The food was very bland and when we asked for bread we were told it might not arrive by the time we had got our main course ?? When it did arrive it was sliced bread from a packet. The pool has a black line of dirt around the edges and the floors have filthy carpet which is threadbare. They took £40 deposit Incase we stole the robes !!! Then told me I wouldn’t get it back for 2 days. The staff looked tired they were off hand and not very experienced. My treatment was so bad I might as well have stayed at home rubbed myself down with cooking salt and then put some oil on. I had to come home have a bath and put some decent body cream on. Notably it was quite empty today I remember in 2021 there were lots more customers. There was no atmosphere and I felt cold most of the time. This was massively overpriced Day. 3 drinks cost us £48

I really enjoyed staying here as the location is lovely - what a peaceful and tranquil place with just an hour and a half drive from London. The rooms are clean and quiet and I slept like a baby. The spa is clean with good facilities. One of the best spas I have ever been to and will definitely come back. We booked RG’s restaurant; the foods are okay ; steak is really nice but with the price, I expect more for foods. I cannot see any fault with spa and hotel and overall service. Had a lovely stay!

My partner and I recently celebrated our anniversary with the Celebration package at Rowhill Grange Utopia Spa Hotel in Kent. Our experience had its highlights, but it was also marred by several disappointments that left us questioning the overall value. The Good: Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a lovely reception that set a positive tone for our stay. The complementary room upgrade to a suite was a delightful surprise, offering us a taste of luxury. The food throughout our stay was undoubtedly of great quality, and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety and flavors presented. The cocktails served at the hotel were another standout, crafted with care and enhancing our overall dining experience. Additionally, the massage service we received was indeed exceptional, leaving us feeling pampered and relaxed. The Bad: One of the most noticeable letdowns was the size of the spa facilities, which fell significantly short of our expectations. With only a steam room, sauna, two pools, and a hot tub available, the spa experience was underwhelming and lacking in variety. Another disappointment was the inconsistency in delivering the "couples' massage" experience we had anticipated. Instead of the shared experience we were promised, our massages were conducted separately, diminishing the special connection we had looked forward to. While the dinner had its merits, the presentation of the tomahawk steak left much to be desired. Despite its small size, resembling more of a bone-in sirloin cut, it was surprisingly flavorful. Unfortunately, the service managers overseeing breakfast and dinner seemed disinterested and unmotivated, which affected the overall atmosphere. The steep cost of drinks was a recurring concern, leaving us with a sense of being overcharged for what should have been a more reasonable experience. Additionally, our room was not as clean as expected upon arrival, and it was clear that proper preparation had been overlooked. Overall: Considering the substantial price tag of over £650 for our stay, even with the room upgrade, we couldn't help but feel that the experience didn't match the investment. The warm welcome, suite upgrade, quality food, delightful cocktails, and enjoyable massage were overshadowed by the small and lackluster spa, separate massage experience, disappointing tomahawk steak presentation, indifferent service managers, expensive drinks, and an inadequately prepared room. While there were moments of satisfaction during our anniversary celebration, the overall experience left us with reservations about recommending Rowhill Grange Utopia Spa Hotel to others seeking a truly worthwhile and memorable escape.

Attended for a wedding. Beautiful scenery, well looked after grounds. Service from staff at the wedding breakfast was great, attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. Bar sevice in the evening, not so well manned. 2 staff on the bar with a constant queue of guests. Still friendly and attentive, no fault of their own, just needed more hands on deck!!

This is a review of RG’s Restaurant - very attentive, amenable service so I was surprised they didn’t notice my special birthday note for my dining companion which was on the original booking online… I also phoned them prior to check they’d got it but then I had to mention it at the end of the meal, after we’d finished as we were leaving because it wasn’t acknowledged. Give them their dues though they later presented a splendid birthday dessert while we were having a drink in the bar afterwards, thank you!

Great team I stayed with my now girlfriend and the team were the best for helping with making it special. I had a surprise planned to ask my partner to be my girlfriend and the team. Maisie at reception helped to decorate the room while we were at dinner for me to ask when we got back t the room. Sam in the bar was attentive and looked after us while we had dinner and drinks. The room was lovely, as we were celebrating our belated birthdays, we had a plate in the room with happy birthday and a small dessert on there and a complimentary upgrade. Spa was amazing pools were a perfect temp. all round great stay. We can’t wait to come back!!!!!!

Great if you like mega shopping centres as blue water just around the corner. Otherwise surrounding area not a lot to speak about. Hotel grounds beautiful though and gorgeous views across countryside. Hotel room was sumptuous as you can expect with the Alexander House group and utopia spa a real treat but not quite as special as the flagship hotel in Surrey. Worth mentioning as didn't see it on other reviews, there is a reasonable substantial hotel gym so make sure to pack your trainers.

I originally booked via a third party website as gifted a voucher I upgraded via a bid to the Junior suite. The suite itself was good in terms of size but I assumed I had a dinner allowance as part of my package although upon check out I was told this was not applicable for the voucher I had having spoken with a different receptionist the day before and been told it would be deducted from the bill. It was not. This was just one discrepancy I had with the Reception staff. Lacking in transparency I would say as I called a few times prior to booking and upon booking to clarify somethings yet upon arrival some had changed to what was discussed over the phone presumably staff have no recollection of this conversations. Email confirmations were not clear enough for me and I had to chase the confirmation email at first this should of been a sign but I had booked already with less than 7 days notice which is what they require for the cancellation policy. I stayed in two different suites across two nights the first looked good but heard birds chirping all night very little sleep. Second night was comfy king suite and much better sleep. Spa facilities was the best element at this venue. I enjoyed using for an additional fee. I booked a head, neck and back massage last minute the massage itself was poor to say the least have received so much better for less value elsewhere. Food was good but not worth the price tag. Service was not the best which there is a so called substantial discretionary service charge added to bill upon check out. Location is in the middle of nowhere so really stuck within the facility. I gained the impression business may not be booming therefore the current custom pays the price with the upselling and add ons to bills. Overall, I found my stay disappointing considering what I received. I

We booked in a couple spa treatments and were unaware that it didn’t include the spa facilities with this which is our fault. However we weren’t even provided with dressing gowns/slippers or access to changing rooms which wasn’t ideal. My massage was lovely - no complaints there. However, I also booked for the bespoke facial which is a 55 minute treatment. The massage therapist was delayed by 20 minutes so my treatment didn’t start until 12:20 but she promptly finished by 12:57 so I was robbed of 20 minutes of the treatment I paid for. This treatment also included a arm and hand massage as well as a scalp massage as per the description on their website, but the spa therapist said that this wasn’t part of the treatment and gave me a 2 minute foot massage and a slightly aggressive and very oily head rub after saying she would give me one anyways. It was overall disappointing, especially considering the £110 price. I would have given a 1 star if it wasn’t for the other massage I booked.

A very pleasant afternoon tea. I was initially disappointed because we were placed in a small function room at the front of the hotel, not the conservatory. When I commented I didn't quite catch the reason, but was told I should have requested it. Nevertheless, the room was very pleasant, a nice ambience. There was one other couple and a family group of six in there. The family group seemed a little unhappy (I don't know what about) and were making comments. The couple were having a champagne tea but weren't brought the champagne until they had nearly finished (had to go and ask for it). We however were perfectly satisfied with our tea - Okay sandwich selection, nice cakes, scones were fresh and moist but could do with about 50% more clotted cream and jam with them. The service was very timely and professional yet friendly and personable. Asked for boxes for the cakes we couldn't finish which they brought without hesitation.

We literally checked out this morning and can not fault the place at all. This was a voucher bought for me from buyagift - 1 nights stay, 40 minute treatment, 3 course meal and breakfast the next day. The room was extremely comfortable, bed was lovely, they're tidy, up to date, spotless and overall very comfortable. 40 minute treatment - I am 7 months pregnant and they catered to this perfectly. I was given a 40 minute back, neck and shoulder massage by Bronti... She finished off with a scalp massage which sent me to sleep 😂. She was very lovely throughout, asking if the pressure was good and one of the best massages I've had in a very long time. Would highly recommend asking for Bronti! Now the restaurant - I always find with 3 course meals at hotels you tend to leave a little hungry so we actually stocked up on snacks for the hotel room. But I can assure you, you will not leave hungry! We ordered a starter from the vegan menu - the artichoke soup... Absolutely delicious and then for mains, my husband got the steak and I got the vegetarian lasagne and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We had the bread board and ordered a side of Mac and cheese too! I couldn't actually finish my meal, but everything was perfect. He got a pudding but I had no room 😂. We left the hotel with our bag of snacks untouched lol. The breakfast the next day was also lovely.. a full English breakfast. All of the staff were lovely, polite and very attentive. I honestly have nothing negative to say. We will most definitely be back again 😊 thank you.

My daughter had a gift voucher for a spa day so she invited her sister and me (her Mum) to join her. The whole experience was very disappointing. Started off with the spa staff giving us 2 lockers. I assumed that would be a small one and a big one but no.....2 normal size lockers, one full of someone else's clothes and 2 towels and 2 robes. So that was a good start for 3 of us. Told lunch was 12-1 and treatments were 12.45. Thought about questioning this but stupidly thought they would have made sure we finished lunch in time for the treatments. When it was clear that we weren't going to start lunch never mind finish it by 12.45, I told 2 waitresses who assured us that all was fine and we could have our treatments at 1pm and even although it was now 1pm, we were to take our time and eat our lunch. However when we left the restaurant the spa supervisor told us that the treatments had been cancelled!!! She said it was totally the hotel's fault and she was sorry.......that was it. Then she offered 20 minute treatments at 4pm! I asked for a refund and she did refund the treatment costs. We had all been swimming before lunch and even although we changed into dry swimsuits, our robes were wet. I managed to get another robe but my daughters were told that there were no more. So they had to sit at lunch in wet robes and ended up being really cold as we had to wait such a long time for the food to arrive. When we questioned this (at check out) we were told that there were other robes but they had been in the dryer when we asked for them and would have been available in 10 minutes. Unfortunately we are not mind readers and as this information was not given, we assumed that no more robes meant no more robes. I would strongly advise people not to waste their money by booking a spa day at Rowhill Grange.

Beautiful place to relax unwind and enjoy the surroundings. All staff very attentive. Spa was great, afternoon tea was lovely wide variety. Evening meal was beautiful. Had bread with roasted tomato butter, pigeon for starter which was amazing very beautifully presented, fillet steak medium rare which just melted in the mouth and chocolate fondant for dessert. Five star 🌟. If main meals anything to go by I'm looking forward to breakfast. 🙂

What a shame, booked afternoon tea here for my Mum’s birthday. Setting is lovely and we were welcomed nicely from those on the front desk. Upon arrival we ordered our tea, sandwiches and cakes and unfortunately went down hill from here. The food and tea were very nice but one of our teas was missing and having waited for 15minutes for the waiter to come over, we had to find someone to ask for it. Another 30minutes past still not drink and now all tea had been drunk. Still no waiters around. In all we were there for 2 1/2 hours and our table was served twice and we had to ask the staff to serve us on our way to the toilets each time. Completely unacceptable. Upon leaving I was told to leave my contact details, they have not contacted me. The service was useless and we didn’t even get an apology! I won’t be going back in a hurry

Was such a lovely spa, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The facilities were beautiful and clean. Robes and towels were supplied. I had a back, neck and scalp massage with Elouisa which was very relaxing. Top marks Rowhill Grange, I hope to be returning soon. The only downside was our meals were a bit small and 4 hours just wasn't long enough. 🤩

Amazing property situated within fantastic grounds surrounded by established trees and well maintained gardens. The first appearance of the hotel through the grounds was impressive and the lobby was equally as inviting with friendly staff. Rooms are very clean and well equipped with a kettle, coffee machine, ironing board and safe but sadly no fridge. The fitness centre is well equipped but slightly on the dated side, the spa area offered sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and splash pool all very well maintained and clean. There was also many treatment options which I cannot comment on and also a shop selling various spa cosmetics and treatments. The main bar area was incredibly cosy with an open fire and comfortable seating areas. The food on offer was fine dining in the restaurant or bar food so I opted for the restaurant where once again staff were friendly and helpful. I went for the sourdough bread which came with a whipped butter and very tasty gremolata, I then went for the Serrano ham croquette with sweet corn custard. The croquette was really good but the custard (just sounds wrong) was a bit odd, to top it off the food was presented in a bowl which was maybe because of the custard making the dish difficult to eat, having said that I wouldn’t have eaten any more of the custard whatever it was served on. The main course I went for was the baked cod loin and chowder, once again I had issues with the bowl :) which I apologise for moaning about as the dish itself was just fantastic. Fish was cooked to perfection and the chowder was so good I was grateful that I had retained some of the bread otherwise I would have been forced to lick the bowl which I have to say was way way too small and that awful scratchy kind of porcelain. I also went for the triple cooked chips as I was feeling very hungry and for a change these actually were triple cooked and possibly the best chips I have had in some time. To accompany the main course I went for a Chardonnay, thankfully I’m not a wine snob as it was served barely chilled so I had to stick some ice in to get the wine to the correct temperature. I have left 5 stars for the hotel and if the restaurant was separate I would have also left 5 stars as the issues that I have really are minor and I’m just being picky, I only focus on the bowls so much because the food was so, so tasty, if the food had been cack I wouldn’t have mentioned the bowls or the wine. Amazing food, amazing setting and just all round lovely hotel, I will certainly return.

We like coming here to escape London. I really enjoyed the weekend spa breaks along with the great tasting food, great treatments and the team of a friendly and professional. It’s very chilled and I always like to pop here at least three times to 4 times per year.

Lovely spa day, staff were very friendly and attentive, and my masseuse was really sweet, she did a really good firm body massage. The service at lunch was a little slow, but our lunch was fresh and very nicely presented. Only negative was alot of guest had mobiles around the pool and even in the pool, which is not OK.

Wow what a lovely afternoon. A couple of problems on front desk when checking in to spa evening. This was swiftly amended with a complimentary iced coffee and a warm smile. Beautiful facilities and one of the best massages I’ve had. Now for the real star… Jack. Jack served us our dinner and what an absolute gem! Honestly somebody needs to take note and promote him within this business. He cared so much about every detail and gave us the best evening possible. I really really can’t begin to tell you how much he is an asset from someone who’s family have owned rosette restaurants all my life. Please someone offer this man a chance to continue to shine. Oh and make sure you try his Kiwi cocktail!

I was treated to a spa day at Rowhill for my birthday with my friend, we’d not been before but tried other spas in the past. We’ve had a lovely day, service was great, food was lovely, the spa was so relaxing with a gorgeous pool & jacuzzi. I had a treatment with Donna, who was lovely, welcoming, her treatment was excellent & she was very professional! Definitely recommended!!

Arrived to find that, despite booking afternoon tea on the phone and confirming by email, they had somehow booked me into one of their other venues. Manager on reception gave no apology and seemed to think that she was doing us a great big favour by trying to squeeze us in! This was not a great start. I had a voucher for two (a Mother’s Day gift) and added on another daughter. When I went to pay, the man in the restaurant was abrupt and a little rude as he wouldn’t listen to why he couldn’t find the booking on the system. He also added on a large gratuity without asking. I would have preferred to have left money so that the waitress received it directly as she was very sweet. We were sat outside and the venue was very pretty. The tea itself was ‘ok’. The bread was a little stale and the cakes mediocre. They knew I was annoyed about their error (they said that it wasn’t the first time this had happened). I paid another £33 for the extra person which, perhaps, they should have given me for free as a goodwill gesture but they didn’t even thank me for their custom. Don’t think I’ll be going back. As did the stale sandwiches, the whole experience left a nasty taste in my mouth. Such a lovely Venue, what a shame that you let Yourself down with your customer Service!

It is so sad. We were 15 minutes late due to bad traffic and I got a phone call from staff straight away confirming that if I am running late they can't do the treatment for 55 minutes which was on my package and they can only do the treatment for the remaining minutes as they are so busy. But I noticed later that they were not that busy. If I want to reschedule this appointment there is no refund at all and have to make the full payment. Service was so bad and they are trying to squeeze money from their clients. Receptionist was so rude and wasn't helpful at all. My full package was for 55 minutes and they simply did the treatment only for 40 minutes as I was 15 minutes late. No welcome drink or anything just gave a small glass of water. Not worth for money. Any time if you make a booking with them be very careful.

Had a over night stay and treatment wasn’t able to book my app for treatment I was told they would let me know on the day off my arrival. They had booked the treatment on the day we was going home which I was unhappy about… I would of been happier to have all this on the day of arrival that would of been the spa day experience totally relaxed not the day of leaving I suggest you give your customers a choice….

We had the most lovely experience at Rowhill Grange spa. All the staff were lovely, in particular the waiter who served us at dinner. He was very accommodating to us being vegan and although there were not many options on the menu, he gave us lots of different alternatives that we could have. The meal we had was absolutely incredible (crispy cabbage etc, the waiter will know we mean), it should definitely be on the menu! Close to a Michelin Star meal. Swimming pool and facilities and our massage was all amazing. We will definitely be returning.

Today I had a spa day booked for my husbands birthday. It included a two course lunch, treatment and use of spa facilities. It was a complete waste of money and really upsetting as this was a gift. The lunch is terrible and old. The couscous was old and the salmon was old and dry. We didn’t eat it and left hungry. The treatment was late and not for the duration paid for. The spa facilities were OK but the water had A LOT of chlorine within and burnt my our eyes so we left early. The changing facilities had broken benches and were out of use. And the changing rooms were not very clean. I made a complaint to the manager Nichole and she only apologised that I felt that way. I overheard at least three other people complaining and that was only today. I spent £300 and was left with a bad taste. I do not recommend this hotel for a spa day and if you go and complain you won’t get anything back. I am due to be refunded £20 for each persons lunch. That leave £260 for a massage and use of facilities, which is completely over priced and absolutely not worth it! Avoid if you want value for your money and a good experience

Stayed here for 2 nights for a spa break, and have been quite disappointing so far. The staff overall is lovely and very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very outdated with signs of mould in the shower. Our suite had a view of the hotel roof however it did have a slight separation between the bed and the sofa area which was great as we travelled with a toddler. We ordered a luxury enhancement, which included early check in and late check out, rose petals, flowers, champagne and a box of some body care items. Rose petals were cheap plastic, flowers didn’t have a vase so we’re just dying in a box that they were brought in and didn’t mention the afternoon tea until we brought it up - they didn’t know we paid for one. I had the option to replace the truffles with strawberries in chocolate and that was very nice. The treatments are average overall. Particularly the manicure was quite a disaster and the specialist took most of the time trying to fix things that went wrong. Had no promised hand massage in the end as ran out of time as still didn’t manage to sort the bumpy lines across most of the nails. They did agree to switch to gel instead of normal colour by removing the scrub (I went for the luxury package). No offer of refund and then I struggled to book a time to get the gel removed. The pedicure on the other hand was very good - quick but very neat and nice foot massage! (They were done by different people so try your luck).

Went for a 21st birthday and they upgraded us to the best suite. The spa is amazing with different areas. Restaurant really good though they told us you had to dress for dinner, plain coloured trainers, shirt etc and when we went down there were people in flip-flops dressed casually. I would recommend as with this hotel you do get what you pay for. Set in lovely gardens, adequate car parking, helpful staff

Had an afternoon tea with treatment spa day today, the venue is lovely. Staff from main reception to spa reception are all very friendly, welcoming and informative. The changing rooms are plesent but with lovely touches but it is a bit small when busy but the actual spa area was lovely and chilled. I gave 4 star because the afternoon tea was OK, the service was good and the lady was informative about the food but we could have had someone check on us as I did want to try a different tea. In terms of the food, the bread for the sandwiches seemed to have dried out, and the scones were very dry and not warm, which was dssapointing but the lemon pudding was lovely. The best part of the day was the full body Swedish massage with Phillpa. She is incredible, the pressure was perfect without me even having say anything, it was the best massage I've had. Would definitely come back just to have a massage with her!!

Really close to South East London less than 40 minute drive on a beautiful estate. Small but intimate tea room with view of grounds. Service could have been speedier considering we arrived before a larger table and had to wait over 15 mins. Afternoon Tea was delicious 😋 filling and totally worth the price and the restaurant gave our Mum a lovely little cake 🎂 for her Birthday. Would definitely visit the place again to stay for the Spa and chilled ambience

Lovely spa day with a friend. This was my second visit here. We loved it the first time so we returned again. I must say that the first visit was better. The afternoon was not fresh on this occasion. The bread tasted like it had been left out and air dried for a bit. This is not what I would expect for afternoon tea standard of sandwiches. Nevertheless the scones and cakes were lovely. The service was good when the staff were there but there was not so much staff this time round so we found ourselves waiting around quite a bit. The spa was lovely as always. The treatment was really good however the lady giving me a facial didn't not ask me anything about my skin other than if I have an allergy. I was not told about products used or given the option to purchase any products. The spa lost out on this because I probably would have purchased something had she have shown me what she used as it felt good on my skin. Overall it was a great day but not as good as my first visit.

I stay here for a birthday treat and absolutely loved it. Every single member of staff were so polite and attentive. Our room was upgraded due to my birthday, our dinner that evening was fabulous alongside some lovely mocktails (I'm pregnant so didn't get to have a proper one). We spent the arrival afternoon in the spa and the following morning after a nice breakfast, which must I add was a tad expensive for some fruit and a slice of bread we shared. Regardless, I had a great birthday, I would highly recommend this place, I would love to come back.

Booked in for a B&B, Spa, Treatments and Dinner last weekend. Stayed here before in early 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, unfortunately standards seems to have dropped since then. The room itself was pleasant and we slept well during our stay. Indoor spa was clean and enjoyable to use but wear and tear starting to show. I had a back, shoulder & scalp massage which i had to stop short. The therapist was just rubbing oil across my back. No pressure applied whatsoever. Dinner service was not good. I ordered a steak medium rare which came overcooked. Dessert was a dark chocolate fondant, solid in the middle. It was steaming hot in the middle too so a microwave may have been used. Full English breakfast was excellent. Stayed at Alexander House the next day and that was Flawless - Looks like Rowhill is letting the team down.

I think the reviews that I have read for this spa are over exaggerating! Having visited many other spas within the same price range, you’d expect the same quality of service and facilities. Firstly: I had booked 2x breakfasts along with a spa day and lunch. The email confirmation told us to arrive at 10am. When we arrived the staff told us that breakfast was over and didn’t offer to try to find a solution. Secondly: when we went through to check-in at the spa, the manager was VERY sarcastic and rolled her eyes to her team members when we asked questions. Thirdly: when it came to using the spa facilities, it was shocking to see how limited everything was. The pool area felt very cramped and there was no where else to relax apart from the jacuzzi area ( however, this was dirty and had floating scum on top of the water). Fourthly: when it came to lunch, the staff members had forgotten about us. I had to chase for my food (which I could see had been sitting on the pass for a while). Now to the only positives! - my masseuse Daniella was really good! If I could have just booked her privately I would!! - the waiter that showed us to the table was courteous. In all honesty, I would not return to this place (which was a a shame because it’s my local spa). I would also NOT recommend this to friends, family or even my worst enemy.

Absolutely stunning. Every element of our spa break was met with a calm and relaxed vibe. All members of staff were friendly, accommodating and added to the relaxed atmosphere. The facilities were all very clean and constantly maintained. Treatments were out of this world. We'll be going back as soon as we can... fantastic experience.

Finally got to stay at Rowhill Grange hotel only took 3 years (Covid). From the time we arrived the staff all came across very friendly and could not do enough for you. The spa area and treatment was great. As for the evening meal me and the wife both agreed this was one of the best meals we had ever had , fantastic. Would definitely recommend a stay at at Rowhill Grange Hotel.

I have been here a few times 4-5 times with friends and family. They haven’t made an improvement since first time 3/4 years ago. Walls in the swimming people are rotting, water fountains only two working. Not enough Sun loungers, food wise, expensive not a lot of choices. Requested complimentary cake for a birthday it didn’t come. Treatment wasn’t all that…. Spa should have complimentary tea throughout. Staff was OK. The place is average and could be better… I don’t think I’ll come back here again.
