I thought I booked for 2 nights instead of one, so when I came back the next evening and my key card did not work I was told that I'd been checked out, when I asked about all the stuff left in my room I was rudely told by one of the ladies on reception that if my clothes looked scruffy they had probably been thrown away, I had left cash in my room along with passport, clothes and lots of toiletries none of which was available for me at reception. Rude women on reception not at all helpful and the contact number doesn't work so how am I supposed to get my passport back, also why when all my stuff was in the room was I not called to ask if I wanted to book another night, why assume I'd left all the stuff behind including passport and cash and didn't intend to stay past check out time, also they told me they had rooms for me to book that night but I had to do it over the website when I tried none were available, they said they could not book one at reception. It was evening when I arrived so I could not book another hotel and was told if I stayed on the chair in reception for to long she would call the police, this led to me having to spend all night outside freezing cold, disgusting customer service, I wonder what Travelodge policy is for the situation I've explained is it bad policy or badly followed? Also how can a passport and cash go missing and not be handed to reception and clothes thrown away, why did nobody call me.

We specifically booked this Travelodge because of the air conditioning as health conditions mean I mustn't overheat - and such hotel rooms are often like ovens. But we soon found out that the Aircon in our room wasn't working. There was one very small fan in the room but it wasn't enough. We spoke to reception and asked about the Aircon and was told that ***none were working on the top 2 floors***. We asked if we could have another fan but they didn't have any. Weren't offered another room. So had to spend 3 nights with the window open (and therefore noise) and the fan going by it 24/7, and it still wasn't enough. Going by other reviews including TripAdvisor the Aircon hasn't worked for a few weeks. Why hasn't this been fixed? And if not fixed guests should have been informed when booking or signing in. Maybe a discount? Or at least get in more fans! I'm sorry we just can't risk ever staying here again.

We were falsely accused of smoking in our room. We then were accused of having boys in our room, two boys left the hotel as I was discussing the aggression from on employee, they then accused these boy who me and my friend did not know. They wouldn’t provide us with the ‘proof’ they had. They said there wasn’t a photo of me nor my friend yet assumed it was our room. An embarrassing employee told me to “not look at her that way” when I was confused to why she came to my room. I am disgusted by this behaviour. My friend and I were celebrating over the weekend to then be told we were getting evicted without proof of our ‘smoking out the window photographs’. Please choose somewhere else to stay. I was also under the impression you need consent to take photos of people’s faces etc?! They think they are a law of their own. I’m not sure if she did as she would not provide evidence, obviously because she knew we were NOT smoking in our room. We won’t be getting our money back no doubt but evicted from a two night stay. Shocking behaviour.

Stayed here numerous times. Have always found it clean and pleasant with helpful staff. Ideally located tween Gravesend and Bluewater. Handy for public transport and motorways. Toby Carvery at the doorstep as well as Morrisons

It provides an excellent basic service. The room was clean and cosy. The bed was comfortable. Bothroom and WC facilities were clean. Tea and coffee, a multi-channel TV, an ideal short stay hotel facility.

Staff are great hotel needs a refurbishment carpet in room 101, which is very worn and grubby. Room was very hot and could not turn the heating down had to open the window and was very noisy from the main road and a2.

Booked here as I needed time away from the busyness of London to refocus, write and think. The hotel was quiet. I was on 1st floor above the entrance which I was a bit annoyed about when I realized that but it was surprisingly still quiet anyway. I liked that it had Lidl, Morrison's, favourites, Gregg's and subway within a 5 minute walk. Same as a bus stop to Bluewater. It also had a park and some green space nearby. I'm a walker and I walked to Gravesend town center and the riverside. Was a nice walk, past a park and a few restaurants. It took 30mins. Negative points - reception. I didn't need to buy wifi as I have unlimited data but there was hardly any reception so some things I was trying to do ended up taking longer than it should. - Some kind of alarm went off on my second night around 6am which was really annoying, but I guess that's not their fault. An apology or explanation would have been nice though. I didn't know if it had to evacuate or not. - They don't have flannels. I asked a worker for one and she said there were only hand towels and bath towels. Never had to bring my own to Travelodge before. - The remote control didn't fully work, so it was stuck at one volume. I changed the batteries and it still didn't work. - At 12:02pm as I was putting on my shoes the receptionist came knocking on my door saying I needed to leave. (checkout is 12pm) I found that so weird as I've never been kicked out of Travelodge before. I used the bathroom before my 3 hour journey back home and as I left the room at 12:06 the receptionist was walking towards my door again. There's usually at least a 10 min grace. But not here obviously. Fair enough, the housekeeper probably just wanted to go home as I could hear her talking outside my room. Overall I got what I needed to from my time here. I wouldn't tell people not to come here as I had a great sleep the first night and the location is great! Also if you love Toby Carvery the hotel is just opposite one. Room was spacious, quiet, mostly clean (dust in corners of carpets) the Aircon/heater worked really well but everytime someone flushed the toilet it seems I could hear the pipes.

The hotel is easy to find with free parking. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast was a takeaway in a box good if you leave early in the morning. The room and bathroom was clean. The hotel should put a toilet brush in the bathrooms. Next to the hotel is a restaurant Toby Carvery (you might need a reservation). A Shell service station is nearby and you have very easy access to A2 for London, Dartford Crossing and towards Canterbury and Dover.

Travelodge is by far one of the best budget hotels I've stayed at! As a new resident in the area, at a critical time when I was busy searching for a property to rent in the Gravesend area, I found myself needing a hotel to stay for an extended period of time. When I checked in at the Travelodge Gravesend reception, I was received warmly, checked in swiftly, and the staff offered to assist me with important information I needed about local amenities like restaurants and transport routes. I found their rooms to be neat, organized, spacious, and quite modern. Also, this property is centrally located you will never feel bored! I was able to stay longer with my family, and we never lacked a thing! Coffee and tea items, towels, iron, and cleaning were all provided whenever we needed them. The staff at this Hotel are really nice, friendly and professional! They treated myself and my family with respect, always had a smile, and were always willing to give a helping hand whenever we needed anything! Thank you all so much for keeping me and my family safe and happy. Special thanks to KAREN; much appreciated! You made our stay at Travelodge feel like home. Because of wonderful people like you, I will continue to chose Travelodge wherever I visit in the UK!

Very pleasant and clean perfect for a quick stop over.

Stayed here because it's cheap and needed a stop gap until my new property was available so needed to stay for 10nights. It is cheap and it's located straight off of the motorway which is handy. Also have a Lidl right next door which is ideal for snacks. Or a Toby for hot food. But I didn't think the room was clean. There was marks all on the floor and the bathroom. I would have told reception, but the communal areas also have marks over the carpet so think the place just needs a real deep clean.

New Travelodge, clean hotel, polite and helpful staff, good location just off the motorway with a Toby carvery outside it. Few pubs nearby and is perfect for work or as a pit stop

Bad Customer service, booked a 1 night stay first time and just left 4 hours into check in. Women at desk gave us a dirty look when we were not sure if we were going to leave now or come back later on that night. She repeatedly asked us if we ain’t coming back we should give the card back even though we said we’re not sure and she said okay and rolled her eyes when asked why she did that she just stayed silent and continued to ignore us. If it’s a hotel we are free to come in and go out whenever we want ! Don’t come to this hotel if you want to be treated like this !! Happened 5mins ago

Rooms fairly small. Clean and neat. Lifts up to the floors. Parking free outside for approximately 40 cars Close to the M2 by a Toby. Never enough teas and coffees. Although you can ask for more at reception.

Never again will I stay here after appalling customer service online and at the hotel. Just make sure when making a booking online you get it 100% correct. There is no room for error. No help from Gravesend Lodge Stay at the Premier Inn Central Gravesend.

Stopped here while working in the area, booked a room for 3 adults and there was just one double bed. Had to set up single beds myself and there was no bed sheets or duvets. Very unhappy with the service, after an exhausting day the last thing I wanted was to run around the hotel and look for somebody to give me a duvet and some sheets.

This hotel has the dirtiest floors I’ve ever seen- not dusty, I’m sure the cleaners had vacuumed, but ground in dirt, possibly mud. Our heating/cooling system was really noisy, making it a choice between leaving it on and being unable to sleep, or turning it off and being unable to sleep. Not our best experience with this chain of hotels, but the location and price were acceptable.
