Just seen the theatre performance of the Arctic explorer Tom Crean at this venue: perfect, couldn't be better. So atmospheric, and the staff are great!

I enjoyed my time here looking at the vessel close up and taking photos, looking out across the river. It is quite a social location, people were sitting around on the benches chatting and families having a bite to eat. A pleasant afternoon.

A very special and iconic lightship. The first time you see it will literally stop you in your tracks. Lovingly restored, owned and run by amazing people. It is a fascinating ship to look around. It is also used as a hub for all sorts of art and music events. Well worth many visits 🤩

Moored on the banks of the River Thames (at Gravesend) is the LV21 Lightship. Now converted into an arts and performance space, it is open to the public to visit, with a small donation to help maintain the venue. The best views are from the pontoon bridge and pier when the ferry runs between Gravesend and Tilbury, which there is a small greenspace where the lightship is moored.

Outstanding, a must to visit if your in the area. They have a great combination of art, crafts, entertainment and history a friendly and fascinating bundle that you really should not miss. Visiting the ship is free but donations to help with the upkeep are welcomed. Definitely a more unusual place to check out.

Cosy and approachable. If you have mobility issues or unsure on extremely steep stairs it's probably best to avoid the ship.
