👍👍 Really lovely place to go for a walk. Have been twice now. No car park but you can park in a private road for free and it's directly next to the entrance to the woods. Beautiful Highland cows that I've never seen before. Sadly mausoleum has been closed both times but don't mind much as it's so inter... People often mention walk, Highland,

Very well kept and picturesque woods complete with free-roaming Highland Cattle. A variety of ancient woodland and open grassland to enjoy. Plenty of benches dotted around the place and mostly a flat waking area if you stick to the main paths. Can get very muddy when wet out. Not great for dog walkers due to no poo bins and the Cattle are a little crazy and often fight each other so keep your dog on a short lead.

Great place to come for walks, cycling, picnics or just relaxation. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the nature, listen to singing birds or woodpecker, see the mausoleum or grazing cows freely moving about. Kids and dogs will love love it! The area of Cobham Wood is National Trust property, and is well kept. There are many paths you can choose from, including walks through the fields. There are no toilet facilities. The nearest parking will be Shorne Wood Country park, sadly not free of charge. Free of charge will be to park your car near Bligh Way Park and just walk from there or at Cobham cricket club.

A jewel of an old wood; pleased it's nearby; very nice old looking trees in places and well maintained paths (not wheelchair friendly though) great for walkers and cyclists very refreshing; bit hilly in places. Accessible from various places I came from Ranscombe reserve which is just as nice.

Just walking through the wood is lovely. A few more signs and directions boards wouldn't go astray as there were no paper site plans. In fact if they (National Trust) spent a bit more on signage they would be able to cut back on paper maps.

Lovely walk with the mausoleum acting as a destination landmark. It's 6km for us to walk across the motorway bridge and to the mausoleum. There are a few benches once there to sit and have a breather and a drink or bite to eat and then return by a different route across the poppy fields. Also about 6km. Lots to see including cattle and lightning stuck trees.

Website mentions no parking but fails to let you know it's covered in scaffolding . Drove 25 miles and walked 2 plus miles for disappointment

Darnley Mausoleum Cobham woods and Ranscombe Farm is a great free day out with lots lovely areas to explore. If your really lucky you might bump into the Highland cattle.

A really peaceful shady walk in the woods on a very hot day. A pleasant view point from a detailed sculpted wooden bench at the south east corner. Retrace walk and head up hill to the Mausoleum. A large structure to come across on the return loop to Cobham village. Only saw 3 people on the 2 hour walk.

It was a pleasure to visit Cobham Wood and Mausoleum, which is owned by the National Trust. The mausoleum was an interesting historical structure to visit, and the breathtaking wooded backdrop was a true feast for the eyes. The helpful and pleasant employees added to the enjoyment of the journey. The few facilities on site were the only reason I didn't give it a full five stars. However, I heartily encourage a trip to this stunning and fascinating place!

Good building to look at, you cannot go in. Lovely walk cycle to the building. No car parks nearby. Highland Cattle roam freely adding to it's unique seclusion.

Was a fun muddy walk, although the Highland cows I found slightly intimidating. But none the less was a good little hike, an also got lucky and saw around 6-7 deer run across Infront of us
