The surgeons and optometrists are fantastic. That's where it ends. Once you've parted with your money they will have you waiting for over an hour in the waiting room to be seen by anyone even though you have a booked appointment. I was rung on the day of my surgery and told I couldn't have it because 'my eyes were dry' but I still have to come in just for them to check my eyes again, after having already arranged time off work and missing out on money. I get there and they tell me that I should be having my surgery but now I've missed my appointment so I'll have to book more time off work to have it done. I've been dealing with the customer service team now for over a month chasing a refund which they agreed to give me (£250) only to have been sent £150 and having no one call back despite constant calls. They are a scam. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

My wife Booked a FREE laser consultation as ADVERTISED and when we arrived the rather snotty assistant said we would have to pay £100 for the consultation!! (Even though someone had rung my wife to confirm the appointment and what it was for). Very unprofessional. Needless to say we declined the offer to now pay. Cannot recommend at all after -having had bad experience of their customer care after lens replacement surgery (not cheap!) and mistakenly thought they may have improved. Unfortunately proved wrong and the usual uncaring service still exists. Go somewhere else for your eye needs. **** UPDATE! ANOTHER * (yes, one star) REVIEW! After being telephoned by Customer Services yesterday to apologise for the ‘misunderstanding’, I asked exactly what this misunderstanding was? It turns out that customers get ONE free consultation in their life time, and as I had lens replacement surgery 10 years ago, that initial consultation counts as my one free one!!!!! 😂 (and was explained to that this would be in the terms in my paperwork from 10 years ago!!) Because they didn’t tell me this when they telephone you beforehand to check what you’re going for (and it was for a different matter by the way), then I could rebook my appointment for ‘free’. The Dartford manager would be informed of this ‘misunderstanding’ so that they could discuss the matter with their member of staff. Doesn’t help the fact that me and my husband (taking the afternoon off to be able to drive me - as recommended) wasted over an hour of our valuable time (and petrol money). Because phone calls are recorded I’ve insisted that the C Service Manager listens to this call and contacts me with regard to the very reasonable £50 compensation I’ve asked for for wasting our time. I’ll update this post when /if I hear from them! I won’t hold my breath! My poor husband nearly choked on his laughter and disbelief when I told him of the ‘misunderstanding’ and I’d had my free consultation 10 years ago!! Reading other reviews about the customer care after treatment they all seem to have the same theme- they don’t ‘care’!

Fantastic service from the start! All appointments easy to book, all questions and queries answered. Quick and easy surgery. I’ve had a few minor issues after (nothing to do with the surgery) and optical express has continued to help me. Easiest the best decision I made having laser eye surgery and I’d recommend it to anyone. All the staff have been great!

I couldn't be happier with the care and customer service received here. V had cataracts in both eyes and was effectively blind and a prisoner in her own home. Although the surgery on both eyes was done at White City (also worth 5 stars) the initial assessment and all the aftercare has been done here. With extra special thanks to Heather, Joanne, Louise and Jamil for helping V get her sight back and her life. You guys are the best ❤

I had LASIK treatment 24 hours ago and I am astounded by the results. The pain has subsided, the blurriness gone, I can see EVERYTHING. Best money I have ever spent and everything from my first consultation to my post op check up, was just easy and comfortable. I would recommend this treatment and this practise to anybody I talk to. Life changer. Thanks all involved 🙏🏻

I had considered having laser eye surgery for some time. So I decided to book a free consultation with optical express, the friendly welcome received on the day from Karrie and the information she gave along with the clearly explained pricing and payment options, helped me to make the choice to go ahead with the surgery. I was apprehensive on the day of surgery but the staff were friendly and provided reassurance. I felt no pain during the procedure and it was over really quickly. The follow up care has been exceptional and I am really pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend a consultation with optical express for any one considering this procedure.

I cannot thank the whole team at Optical Express enough! Had the iDesign Lazik surgery yesterday and just had my check up. I have better than 20/20 vision! Incredible!! The aftercare is just as amazing as the sale of the product. The whole process was seamless and will be recommending everyone I can! Thank you all. The only thing I will say is make sure you have dark sunglasses for after surgery as my glasses weren’t dark enough so was very sensitive but that’s on me not optical express! The best decision I’ve ever made

I am currently day 2 after lens replacement surgery and I am totally blown away by the difference in my eye sight.. but more then that the care and attention from the team has been amazing.. starting with Heather and the receptionist in Maidstone where I had my initial consultation.. to the care I received on Tuesday in dartford. Andras is fantastic.. really makes you feel at ease and answers any questions.. can not fault his customer care at all.. Mr Sing the surgeon who gave me a snickers as I had not had breakfast.. and during the surgery he talks to you to explain what he is doing.. the two nurses.. I think one was Louise (Scottish lady) and the lady with the bright hat whose name I did not catch.. and then Benita the discharge nurse.. she is lovely, again she explains everything really well and makes you feel very comfortable throughout.. the surgery was fine. Did not feel a thing and actually found it quite relaxing.. I nearly had a nap during the second eye.. even though each eye takes a max of 15 minutes.. if this is on your list of things to do then you can not go wrong with optical express and this team.. can not thank you enough for your care, attention and the level of customer service.. (including receptionists too) I will be singing your praises and recommending you to all x

I recently underwent laser eye surgery at the Harley St Clinic but had my initial consultation at Dartford and I couldn't be happier with the results. The entire experience was nothing short of outstanding, thanks to the exceptional care provided by the staff, particularly Hardid, who went above and beyond to explain everything and do all relevant tests. From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The environment was clean, comfortable, and had a calming ambiance. The entire staff was friendly, approachable, and ensured that all my concerns were addressed.

What a team, led by the wonderful Hardip. I was treated to the best of care, they all helped to make me feel at ease, the surgery was quick and efficient. My head feels like its on a swivel, I don't know what to read first. Certainly a game changer, would recommend to all.

My partner had just had lens replacement surgery. He was made welcome and put straight at ease from original consultation through to post surgery. The team were all so accommodating and happy to help and answer any questions we had. He is now 48 hours post op and his vision is incredible. After years of glasses he can now read texts on the smallest font with no glasses. There is still recovery to go but if he carries in this way I know it will make a huge difference in his life. Had lence replacement surgery yesterday at Optical Express Dartford. such lovely staff, and made to feel at ease friendly surgeon and his team who did a perfect job Also the lady on reception/nurse greeted me with a friendly smile as she could see how nervous I was and made me feel so at ease x was looked after so well by all ,and again today for my check up .cant believe the fast improvement of my sight I can read the smallest of writing and everything around me looks so sharp and clear even colours seem brighter compared to how my sight was before the surgery. I'm so happy as never thought the out come would be so amazing. And the surgery so quick and pain free .would highly recommend lence replacement surgery to anyone so they can experience what I have in having the surgery :)

After almost 20 years… I finally broke off one of my longest dependent relationships…with my glasses! I’m so ecstatic and relieved… I can finally see!
