Excellent tribute to Sir Sydney Camm who designed the legendary Hurricane, Hunter and Harrier aircraft. This magnificent replica Hurricane stands proud here in his home town on the banks of the Thames and surely a must visit for anyone who has an interest in aviation heritage, or indeed a tourist attraction in itself.

Wonderful memorial that is worth a visit, along with a stroll in the lovely park. One could also take a quick walk to see where Sir Sydney Camm had lived on Alma Road.

Actually, this commermorates Sir Sydney Camm, who designed the Hawker Hurricane, amongst other notable Hawker aircraft. The significance is that he was born close by in Alma Road.
