My mom was traveling to visit for the weekend. The pictures all look nice on here, but keep away! The lobby itself is concerning. The front desk lady/manager took an hour to get through 3 people checking in/out… so she finally gets checked in, there are creepy people yelling outside, we go into the nonsmoking room which had a major smoke smell, looked like you would get bed bugs from this room there was even a wad of hair left in the shower. Very disgusting!! We went back for her to check out cause she was not staying there! She didn’t get her money returned because of the cancellation policy… it’s ridiculous. Don’t bother. It’s worth spending a bit more money for a nice, functioning and good sleep

False advertising. Nothing looks like pictures in their advertising it is dirty, undesirable clientele walking around in evening. Broken glass in parking lot. I checked in earlier in day and got back from pool tournament to sleep after office closed. Found room had been smoked in, some trash left in room trash can. I reserved non-smoking room and couldn't stay due to allergies. Left key in room and called desk in morning to check out and let them know. "There isn't anything we can do about someone smoking in room, this is non smoking facility, they probably lost their deposit and we didn't have time to abate the smoke smell before you checked in." What! I do not recommend staying here ever. I would rather sleep in my car, at least it is clean.

One of the worst experiences that I have ever had in a hotel. This isn't even considered a hotel it's a crackden. Someone was passed out with the needle in their arm in the stairway. Trash piled up in front of every door. I was charged a extended late fee even though I checked out at 10 AM. I spoke to the front desk lady by the name of Chelsea, She explained to me this is their policy and procedure that they charge everybody the $20 extended late fee even if they checked out early. She refused to help or even have her manager call me back in reference to this. Instead had an attitude with me and hung up on me. Is apparently it is in their policy to steal money from people. For the love of everything holy please never waste your money or time here.

If I didn't have to click a star, I wouldn't have but I have to otherwise 1-star would be too nice. Where do I start? I have never left bad reviews, even if I had a bad experience somewhere, because I never thought it was worth doing. Still, my friend and I were utterly disgusted, uncomfortable, scared, and frustrated, and I maybe did this review because I felt horrible for booking this. I also do not want anyone ever to have to go through this. If someone brought their kids to this "hotel," it would be horrific for them. I booked a trip to Denver for my friend and me and decided to use Priceline to book a package as this seemed more manageable for me to do and more convenient. I booked a hotel here, and the pictures, amenities, and everything stated in the hotel listing on Priceline were not provided. I had a sheet on my bed (more like a cot, which was supposed to be a queen bed) and was uncomfortable like the other queen. The oven didn't work correctly. The place was so gross, and nothing was cleaned- the bathroom had ash all over the toilet seat. This location should NOT be a hotel if it is also a temporary living space for drug abusers and very sketchy activity. People were doing drugs in the stairwells, living in their cars, and the windows of one of the hotel rooms were broken. Our door only worked half the time (It was not the key- the door was warped from what looked like being broken into and manipulated, and the lock was not working well. There was an awful smell of smoke in our room (this was supposed to be a nonsmoking room). We were provided one towel and washcloth between the two of us and a half-used toilet paper roll. Reading the signs in the lobby, we are only provided one towel a week per person (which we were not given enough for two) and one roll of toilet paper (ours was half used). As we unpacked, I noticed the floor felt dirty and looked at my feet, and they were black. The "hotel phone" was unhooked entirely and had no cords. Our TV did not work and kept shutting off. The bathroom was not clean, and there was unknown nastiness on the walls that could have been cleaned off but probably had not been cleaned in a long time. Everything was grimy- we had to lay our one-hand towel on the floor to navigate after the shower and shower with sandals on.During our first night, there was fighting outside and extremely sketchy business going on, and as we were both female and traveling alone for our first big hiking trip, we were terrified. The pictures and everything they say they have is a lie. The first night we also encountered a mouse after we unpacked our groceries, and he was not afraid of us and had to clean out the cupboards because there was mouse poop EVERYWHERE! I can handle many nasty things, but this was just one terrible thing after another. We stored dry goods in the microwave and had to keep our garbage outside, or the mouse would just come and go whenever. You could hear the mouse making noises and screeching in the middle of the night. It woke my friend and me up all night and happened every day of our trip. I felt so gross coming back from a gorgeous hike just to come back to this dump. There are a lot of poor reviews, and I feel stupid for trusting that I was going to an actual hotel when I booked with priceline. I think everyone else's efforts have been futile. The staff does not care nor anyone. BBB was contacted, but that does not good when they won't respond to BBB, and I don't even know if they are accredited anyway! A person staying a few rooms from us lets their animals' poop and pee outside their hotel room door. I am not making this up. As I type, I cannot believe I put up with this, but I just wanted to enjoy my trip and make the most of it, but this was mental torture. I couldn't even eat in there. It ruined my appetite having to clean up mouse poop to have a clean counter space. Do they get financial kickbacks or tax breaks for providing homes for drug addicts and/or people without housing. That's fine, do not advertise this on Priceline and make this clear.

It deserves 0 stars. Our room hasn't been cleaned in 2 weeks, including bathroom. They never provided toilet paper or towels we had to go buy our own. Security is a joke gates don't shut and the "security" is 1 of 3 ppl just walking around. The workers are rude especially the heavy set lady, not manager, who is in the front lobby she called police on me for requesting a refund. The bathroom fans are caked in inches thick dust and is a major fire hazard. One maintenance guy, tall bald missing teeth, tried to fight me when i complained about the issues and I had to call police, apparently he's a trouble maker as police instantly knew who he was. You have wandering crack/methheads going through parking lot at all hours, make sure your cars are locked. We have talked to all 3 cleaning ppl they are nice, and the one maintenance guy Jose works very hard. Also someone died here and I don't think other than a handful of us who seen them take the body know about it, room 213. We also found a mouse running around our room that kept hiding under the fridge and pooping on the stove area, disgusting! Overall worst place we've stayed, and from the top down bad service. Now begins the long process of trying to get a refund from this joke of a place.

So, I don’t think I’ve been to a worse “hotel. They decided that charging my card before I got there for whatever amount they said was declined and saying that my reservation was cancelled due to non payment which is ridiculous. So, the only thing my friend and I wanted to do was crash out with it being midnight and driving for twelve hours but the 300$ three day stay was cancelled. We opted to stay one night in a “kings suite.” Absolutely disgusting. We decided to go somewhere else. We were there for not even a half hour. I went to the front desk and said I would like to cancel my room because I don’t feel comfortable with leaving my truck right outside and I feel like I’m going to get robbed walking to my truck. Or stabbed. I should’ve seen the warning signs of armed security and a dude with first aid gear walking around. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable and I wasn’t expecting a whole lot but this was awful. I work. I saved money for this trip I’ve had this reserved for a couple months. They need to replace the pictures with some updated ones because this place was one of the worst I have attempted to stay at and my expectations aren’t crazy by any stretch. I’m disputing the charge with my bank because the guy at the front desk said he couldn’t do refunds. Convenient. Don’t stay here unless you wanna be around crackheads and shady people.

My son stayed a few nights and they charged him a $50 deposit. I paid for one night and they charged me a $50 deposit. They kept both deposits and didn't bother to let us know. They lied and said my son smoked in the room...so they could keep both deposits. When I called the woman on the phone was laughing at me and extremely rude. If you stay here, you might as well write off your deposits. Scam artists and crooks. The rooms are filthy and sheets weren't even clean. Bathroom had diet and hair in every nook and cranny. I will be placing several calls to corporate offices as well as file complaints with the BBB as well as letting everyone know on every platform that the staff are crooks and can't even clean a room properly.

I had reserved a room from 5/12 - 5/13 non-smoking, 2 queen beds. We got in after 8:30 pm the office closes at 7 pm I had to call the emergency # that was listed on the door to get my cards to get into my room. The guy came down and checked me and I went to park my car and up to my room. I had opened the door and the room was embedded with cigarette smoke the smell has been there for some time. After getting in the room I started checking out the room I went to the bathroom, there were patches of paint that had come off the wall, the walls were dingy there was mold around the bathtub. I went to one of the beds pulled down the blanket then saw yellow/orange stained sheets, the other bed and the kitchenette were okay. Throughout the night we couldn't sleep because of the horrible disgusting cigarette smoke. It was giving us headaches and making us nauseous we left early. When you specifically reserve a non-smoking room and 2 queen beds that's what you should receive. I know I won't be going back but those that do reserve rooms I hope you have a better experience than we did.

My stay at the RedRoof hotel was a complete disappointment, by far the most unkept/dirty hotel I’ve ever seen. The hotel was shockingly filthy, and the sight of rats near the entrance in the parking lot was a major turn-off. The surrounding area seemed unsafe with crime upon check in with security escorting people out which added to our discomfort. People looking through cars during the day and night. To top it off, our room smelled of cigarette, had a broken dresser that was overlooked making me wonder if rooms are cleaned at all, graffiti on the walls in the room, surfaces were not cleaned, floors were very dirty, toilet top was broken and the mattress was dirty and overused causing extreme discomfort, making it impossible to stay there any longer. I felt the room was so dirty I would get sick even showering here. We had to check out early and urgently to find another hotel. Complete waste of time and money. I would strongly advise against staying at the RedRoof hotel.

I will add pictures soon. Called your corporate. They are aware that your hotel commits fraud and followed along. The person responding must not go to that hotel because it's Nasty with roaches and rats. And you're pictures that you're hotel posted are lies. Because that's not what you're hotel looks like. The women at the front desk have no business being in customer service. Check all your other one, star reviews, and they're accurate. Your hotel is full of homeless people, disabled And Drug addicts and you take advantage of them. I believe your hotel gets hotel vouchers. I Believe if the organization's giving these vouchers. Stayed in your hotel one night. They would never give you another one. I have pictures and video time-stamped. I'm just trying to figure out how to get them on my review. When I asked your hotel Receipt it was incorrect when I ask them for the documentation. They refused. When I called your corporate office. They said the staff denied it. The receipt that you're hotel send your corporate office. Was different than the one they gave me. Your office staff intentionally committed fraud and deleted and changed my receipt for your corporate office. And You have people shooting Drugs in the alley behind the windows. And before you deny it. I have a picture and your security guard had to go dispose of it. Many of your reviews mentioned money discrepancies. I'm not accusing anyone but I would like to know where that money goes. Is it being pocketed? Your office staff fired a woman for putting a deposit on a personal card. after a visit. Is this the part where you respond? Email? You more details that you won't even look at or care. I don't think you're company cares when your Facility is run this way. Your response... somehow you want the responsibility put on your customers. Do you think that my sink broke apart and I waited to contact the office? Seriously??? I was told to my face it would be fixed by noon. 5pm you associate in my face smiling told me maintenence wasn't in until Monday. This happened on a Saturday. I've been sick since I left your hotel. I think your hotel is a haven for disease. No ventilation, water damage, rats, roaches, dirt. Would you agree that is poop in your toilet? Would you after that's a syringe in your alley? Is that a burn in the quilt? I don't belie be I need to explain all the pictures. Other customers have noted the same issues

Will definitely not book here again. Waited over an hour to check in with just two people ahead of us. The woman at the front desk had no sense of urgency even with the line of 5 guests waiting behind us. Finally got to the room and the toilet was clogged when we walked in.

This place is awesome, the rate is fantastic for the room that I have, The staff is pretty nice but the best person on the staff is definitely a young lady named Becky! She has Red hair, so if you had to deal with anybody there I would definitely recommend her, she is extremely polite, professional and courteous.

I'd give no stars if possible. First off, never got our room. We waited 4 hours past check in time and finally decided to cancel because we needed somewhere to stay and it was getting late. I was told by the the desk that I would recieve partial refund. That didn't happen. So I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Apparently they lied to them over the dispute and screwed me out of almost $400. I'm am beyond disappointed that this has happened and am warning people to stay away from this place.

Negative stars. Firstly... this is NOT a hotel/motel for your everyday traveler. Sketchiest place I've ever stayed at. The desk agent was rude and out of line the SECOND that I walked in the door... suggesting that the obvious customer check in canopy was actually for a security vehicle (unmarked, baby seat, and a handicap placard)... then made me move my vehicle 6 feet before I could be checked in. The security guard seems to think he's above basic customer service practices, and thought he was funny by trying to scare me with his remote key fob & horn (to his soccer mom car) as I was walking in. Side note... I've never been to this location prior, we're not "buddies" and I find both of their actions completely unacceptable. There was trash all over the sidewalk entrance to my room, including things like car stereo parts, wires, and fast food leavings. Some random guy was starting a fire in the center courtyard. The room itself, while large, was lacking everything but cockroaches... of which were on the kitchen counter and breeding within the stove burners. The "couch" had piles of cigarette ashes under the cushions. The shower had unidentified goop in the tub. Lastly, I caught more than one "guest" closely eyeballing the contents of my truck. I had pre-booked thru a 3rd party, left after an hour or so, and requested a full refund (thanks to my booking app)... after being given the wrong information by the afore mentioned employee. Clearly they assume anyone trying to stay there is trash, and treat you as such. I had just drove 6 hours and couldn't leave quick enough! Avoid at all costs!

very rundown hotel with unhelpful staff and management. the first night my key did not work and i had to get maintenance to come fix it. i did not count on much, but still the the old bedspreads with holes and roaches running around was not expected at all. The next early morning, after going to get breakfast, my key would not work again. i called the emergency number and every number i could find for the hotel with no success. i was locked out for over 3 hours till the front desk finally showed up. i had already paid for the week, and i requested to cancel and move out. the front desk said they would refund but i had to go through travelocity who i booked with. i left and booked another hotel. i was on the phone with travelocity for hours, to get my refund, but they kept saying the management at hometowne never responded to them. i called the management and requested a refund for the remaining 6 days and kept getting the runaround. they said they would email upper management, which i guess they did because i got a nice apology email from the management but STILL NO REFUND!!!. i am not one to write reviews, but this company has the worst customer service i have ever experienced. THEY BASICALLY JUST STEAL YOUR MONEY.

Not impressed with with this place whatsoever we made the reservation on Priceline and when we showed up there was a closed sign on the window so took about 30 minutes for us to even get any service at all the maintenance man there was really helpful and we were able to call the number on the door and so they showed up finally and they got us checked into the room handed us one key card and we went up to the room and the key card didn’t work so then we went back downstairs to get another key card and there was a close sign on the and door again and so we had to call them again and it took another 20 minutes for them to come back to get us new key cards and so the maintenance man there and if it wasn’t for the maintenance man there I probably wouldn’t of gotten anything accomplished on the room I believe was 60 bucks a night, and as far as location went, it was in a good area in the middle of pretty much everything right next to the highway outside of Denver and are in Lakewood close to Arvada next wheat ridge. As far as the room went to was pretty bare it has essentials in it to towels to pillows and a TV and a basic channels on it. Their conditioning works fabulously, so that was a plus but everything else was pretty much a bummer you get what you pay for though, so I’m really not that surprised.

There were cigarette burns on the comforter and the blanket looked extremely yellow and disgusting, there was also a horrible almost urine smell, I talked to the staff and they were very understanding and offered another room but based on how bad the one I was given was I just ended up leaving, as I did someone harassed me for cigarettes. I would not recommend this places, the pictures on the website looked alright but I would rather honestly sleep in my car then here

DON'T DO IT!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!! They charged my card and when we showed up, no reservation. Won't refund my money, states we didn't show up. DON'T DO IT!!!! 1 star too high of a rating for this place. Armed security guard at the front door to greet you. 5 people in front of us and they told all them that they didn't have reservations either. We all paid in advance and had confirmation numbers. We went to a restaurant after finding another hotel in Evergreen , thank God, and they told us Kipling St is the bad, bad part of Lakewood . Good thing to find out before going on vacation. Just don't do it! I was 1000s of miles from home, very disappointing to find out a reservation doesn't mean anything anymore. You can't trust anyone. Don't do it no matter what!!!!! This place needs to be put out of business!!!!!

This place is terrible. I wish I could give it 0 stars. Absolutely disgusting. You get what you pay for. I booked on Hopper for $59. Next time I’ll pay more. As soon as I got there, I saw a mouse running across the downstairs hallway. The room was not too bad but the bathroom was full of other people’s hair. Literally put a towel in the shower floor as I did not have flip flops and did not touch a thing as the shower curtain was awful. Stairs are rotted metal and hallways are just nasty. Sheets were just thrown on the ground. I mean i know they will wash them but still, mice were running thru there and those will be used by other guests. Towels were clean and view from the back was nice. That’s about all. Nasty nasty stay away. Pics do not reflect the disgusting location.

The stay at this hotel was very unpleasant and disappointing for the following reasons: 1. My non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. 2. The front desk staff are rude, unpleasant, and unprofessional. 3. My room was issued to me without toilet paper and I only realized this after it was urgently needed. When I went to the front desk to get some they not only failed to apoligize but treated me with suspicion and said I had an "attitude". 4. The property was frequented by vagrants and other unsavory uindividuals 5. The property at large was in a poor stated of repair and often smelled of marajuana. 6. There are no phones in the rooms. 7. The rooms have very poor/limited lighting. 8. The faucet dripped incessantly. 9. It is supposed to be an 'extended stay' hotel with a kitchenette and the room was not stocked with any cooking vessels, dishes, or silverware nor were there any available to sign out from the office. I guess they expected me to bring all of this with me on the plane. 10. The front office was only open from 0700 to 2300 so if you needed assistance or want to check out at any other time it was not helpful. 11. Their is a "supplemental agreement" with some very strange terms that you need to sign upon check-in. An example is that they reserve the right to enter the troom at any time. 12. The front desk staff often does not answer the phone during business hours for unknown reasons. 13. The comforter on the bed was full of burn marks from what I can only assume are cigarettes or joints. 14. The towels in the bathroom were not clean. 15. The room is very sparsely furnished with only a bed and small desk with two chairs.

This is literally THE WORST hotel I've been to. Filthy rooms and the property is run down. Just one women checking in 9 people (ALL of wich returned due to dirty rooms, no exaggeration.) they had children throwing pipes and ice from the balcony onto our car. Staff wouldn't do anything about it. We decided we had enough and wanted to leave, but they apparently have a clause in the sign in sheet stating they are gaurenteed one night so we only got a partial refund. I returned to the front desk to tell them we were leaving as no manager came to our room to adress issues to find they have locked out everyone who is complaining and just let us all sit outside for thirty minutes. The property says no pets, but i counted over 7 dogs all clearly not service dogs and they wouldn't stop barking and fighting. To make things worse when we arrived one of our rooms had flooded earlier in the day and they decided not to contact us or tell us when we called that the room is damaged and smells of wet carpet. Place should be shut down. 0 stars.

Do not stay here. It is disgusting and extremely unsafe. We left immediately. There was human deposits on linens. Trash everywhere outside. Smelled of urine and nastiness. It is being used as a housing shelter, many of the residents appeared under the influence of unknown substances. Do NOT stay here.

I've been very happy with this place big, nice, and clean room most of the staff has been nice to me!!! One thing i didn't like is that when i put my trash out side the door because it was full someone went and set it back inside when i was gone that creaps me out because that means someone came into my space when i was gone i could have thrown it out in the dump myself but i pay good money to stay here so why not just pick it up and throw it for me since that is one of there jobs other then that i have been happy... I still give a 5 star

Was very disappointed by the stay here. As soon as we walked into the room there was an overwhelming stench of cigarettes. The bathroom was just awful. There wasn't even a shower head in the shower and the pipes and toilets made loud noises constantly making it very difficult to sleep. There weren't enough towels so when we asked for more, the front desk staff were extremely annoyed and rude about giving them to us. My pregnant wife asked for an extra pillow and they just wouldn't give us one. Absolutely will never stay here again.

If it weren't for the staff, I'm not sure I would stay here. It is inexpensive and shows. I do know they have changed most all staff recently and are extremely short handed. The parking lot and stairwell's need serious cleaning. They rarely have towels, due to housekeeping shortages. The rooms could be a little cleaner for the same reason. They have full size refrigerators, 2 burners, and a microwave. I do like the way these suites are set up here. They have a separate room, like an apartment. The living, dining, and kitchen area is approximately the size of a normal hotel room and all open. Then the bathroom separate from the bedroom. That is probably the reason I choose to stay here as often as I do. We keep to ourselves and no one bothers us. It is not, however a great neighborhood. The staff is always friendly and helpful as much as they can be. They were very understanding to our situation and reasoning for our late check out, as well very accommodating. Most places are not like that here. Most people give this place a bad rating, however I can overlook a lot of things for a friendly staff that's kind and courteous. And for that I give them 5 stars.
