    The Katepurna Dam is an earthfill dam on the Katepurna River situated at Mahan, near Barshi Takali, Akola district, in the state of Maharashtra in India. It serves the city of Akola and the surrounding provides water to over 8lakh citizens of Akola and 69 surrounding villages

    A good place to visit and stay as well. Better to have one day trip to. Excellent view and services are also good. Must go for water boating. You can also take a walk around 2km around the reserve area. The jungle safari is also available. Best place to go with family or friends. Weather is also pleasant. Try to avoid rainy days, every other season us perfect to visit.
