I attended Hinton Barber and Beauty College after I graduated high school. I knew I wanted to be a barber, but I also knew I had much to learn so barber college looked like the right route to go. When I first started school as a student it was different than I thought but I took it all in. I was very committed to finishing my program and getting my barber license, I would come every day and really almost not miss any days. I saw the passion in myself to become a barber. So I pushed hard and took my instructor taught me really applied it. I had a really good a experience as a student. I have been a licensed barber for almost 3 years now, and I am super grateful for my instructor and what they taught to get better. I am now an instructor myself at Hinton Barber and Beauty College, the experience is good, and my students are really good as well. They want to learn and want to get better. Been coming here since the first day they opened! Jeremy has to be one of the best barbers I’ve ever had coming to Hinton. He has great customer service, he always makes sure you get what you asked for and honestly His practically our family barber haha! He cuts me, my nephew (really patient with him, especially being a six year old with adhd) and of course my cousin. He always brings us back to life! First time coming in to the barber school, I got cut by Jeremy, i got a solid lineup, fade and trimmed down my beard, also tried out the shampoo and conditioning. Had my curls looking fire!! He did let me know he’s only shampooed a couple time, got a little wet but he gave me a heads up so I can’t be mad, plus it’s just water. Teacher stepped in a little because he had questions, which I appreciated. Practice makes perfect. I let him know, I’ll be back and get some highlights

Had the pleasure to be pampered by, Monica today. She was not only very friendly, understanding, but very professional and caring. I went in for a color and highlight service for my hair. She was very attentive and I could tell she was very confident in her work. She was not apprehensive at all about the procedures, but contacted her instructor to confirm things along the process. Her instructor which I forgot to ask her name was the instructor for the cosmetology side. She, too was very kind and supportive. She was helpful along the hair coloring process as well and made sure to support her student with the inquiries she had. Monica will be graduating soon and I have no doubt she will be a very successful beautician and business owner. I left happy as I’ve always done with a few of the services I’ve gone in for. I’ve gotten two haircuts and now a hair coloring treatment. The instructors are all nice, caring and efficient. I highly recommend this business, but keep in mind they’re all striving students so be sure to tip well, since you’re already getting a service at a discounted cost. My Barber Jeremy did an amazing job! He is very detailed oriented, takes his time, and always make sure his clients are comfortable. As far as my experience goes it was amazing, he did this new shampoo, conditioner, and oil treatment on my scalp which did wonders to my hair. He is always willing to try something new with your hairstyle if requested. He is flexible with rescheduling and will never leave you hanging if an emergency comes up. Very excited to see where his journey takes him! Defintely recommended 100/100. Please get your haircut from Jeremy and support his business! 🙂

My taper with Jeremy was clean from Jeremy was excellent! The precision of the taper and the sharpness of the line up were impressive. Jeremy's attention to detail created a polished and well-defined look. The transition in the taper was seamless, and the clean lines added a refined touch to the overall haircut. I was thoroughly satisfied with the result and would highly recommend Jeremy for his skill in achieving a crisp and stylish cut.

I’ve been going here for about a year and I love it. The night teacher Ms Jackie is a hoot, she’s also super knowledgeable. I’ve been through 2 classes so far and the night barber students are professional and talented. I can only give four stars though because the online reservation system doesn’t account for the night time staffing. There have been a couple times I’ve made an appointment but there was one or no barbers available. My suggestion is to have a cut off for times and allow night to be walk in only.
