The atmosphere, cleanliness, the staff, the food, and the wine were all on point. We did a 5 course meal of $195 each with a bottle of wine. Even though everything is small portions (as course meals are) we got full by course #3 and had a hard time finishing dessert.

TL;DR: Delicious meal, with some hits and misses, in a pleasant setting. We had a nice evening at The Sea. We came to celebrate our daughter's birthday so the setting was perfect for special occasions. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated right away. The staff left a birthday card on our table so that was a nice touch. Service was outstanding. Both Jorge and Ramon were extremely attentive and helpful. We ordered the cold seafood platter, the Wagyu special which included a lobster tail and scallops, and sides of truffle fries and brussel sprouts. As I mentioned, there were some hits and some misses. The hits were the wagyu (cooked perfectly and so tender), raw scallops (so fresh), oysters, sashimi, and truffle fries (absolutely delicious). The misses were the lobster tail (a bit overcooked), brussel sprouts (no flavor and a bit too hard), and the ceviche that was part of the sampler. Overall, it was a good experience. Just not sure if I'd go back given the hefty prices.

Update: we visited The Sea again for Mother's Day brunch. Service as usual was top notch, except the delivery was a bit slow, I guess due to the crowd. A couple dishes were meh (like the mussels came out too fishy) but others were spot on (like the black cod). My family definitely had a good time but we can see the cracks forming in the menu. We need fresh inspiration to bring this place back. ------------- Hadn't visited The Sea in 3 years. Given COVID yet we wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they have a great patio, went ahead and reserved. We have a wonderful time. Great table, great ambience, great service, and amazing food. Yes, yes, the price is expensive. But it is well worth it for that special occasion. The hamachi shots felt "slightly" less fresh than expected but everything else was top notch. Lobster fried rice, seafood paella, wagyu ribeye, crab croquettes... and I can go on and on. And then to top it all off, our server was professional and welcoming, as well as considerate that we had 3 kids who couldn't toast so brought us Italian soda instead. Will definitely return. Amazing experience.

Food and service was excellent. First time having dinner at the sea. Will definitely come back. It's expensive but we'll worth it. Met owner and he said everyone he hires has a smile and really enjoys working. That is awesome to hear. Great to see people proud and happy. It truly makes for a great experience

Top notch restaurant located in convenient El Camino Real, Palo Alto! We had the seafood tower as our starter and its superb with lobster and oysters. For our main course, Luiggi, our excellent server, recommended the Wagyu Tomahawk steak! It was the best decision we made as the meat was super tender and literally melts in your mouth! Highly recommended and we will definitely come back again!

Our family was visiting from Utah and they’ve been wanting to come here. Glad we did because service was phenomenal and excellent. Food was amazingly delicious and we recommend their steak and seafood. If you are here for a romantic dinner for two, highly recommend taking advantage of their pre-fix dinner. Well worth it. Plenty of parking, place is huge and seating both indoor and outdoor and many booth seatings are available for a more cozy dining. We will definitely be back here. Cheers!

I took my wife here for our 22nd anniversary over the weekend. It was the best dining experience we have ever had! We love to eat out and this establishment is now one of our top places to eat. Everything we ordered was flavorful and prepared wonderfully. The presentation was stunning. The staff was on point, knowledgeable about the dishes, and true ambassadors of the establishment. This is one experience we will never forget. Thank you for making our night of Jan 13th more grand than we both could imagine!

We've been going to The Sea for many years and have never been disappointed with the food or service! The last time was a few months ago, they start you off with different types of bread, rolls, etc. They will give you an amuse bouche to enjoy. We had Hamachi shots and for the entree, I had Wagyu Ribeye that was delicious and my wife had a fish dish. We' ve had so many items on the menu that I can't name them all. At the end of the dinner, you will get cotton candy for free! Bill, Tim and their team are outstanding! They also have a nice outside dining area.

We had dinner here for a group. The ambience was excellent. We were seated on time and had sea food platter for appetizer. I had salmon for entree. I tried their own excellent old fashioned cocktail. Desserts were amazing. Will come again.

Very nice. We had small ceviche, cocktail shrimp, Oyster starter. Steak main. Nice dessert. Wine menu pricey. For our tap of 16, $5000 in a room. Service excellent. Food exquisite, banquet room special slanted ceiling with chandelier bright and welcoming.

I was at Alexander's for a large group meeting. The steak was perfectly prepared, tender and hot. The salad was crisp and fresh. Compliments to the restaurant staff for accomplishing an outstanding meal for 100 people. The one thing I didn't like was the side dishes were served as a group serving in metal cones. I'd prefer my side dishes on my plate.

I took my mom there for her birthday. Service is excellent, absolutely excellent. Dishes are great. I like the crab and steak. The wine pairing elevated the dishes! Every detail is on the fine dining level. You can trust the recommendations from staffs there. Dessert is delicious. Easy to park. Over all I definitely recommend The Sea!

We have eaten at this restaurant at least a half a dozen times. We came in today for Easter brunch. I ordered a bloody Mary and I was told they did not have any tomato juice to make a Bloody Mary. My wife ordered A Ramos gin fizz we were told they did not have the ingredients in the house to make that drink either. I expect a restaurant of this caliber to have those basic ingredients. Other than that the service was good. The Hamachi shots were not as good as we have had in the past. Miso sea bass was very good.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary:) Ordered Tasting Menu and also Beef Tataki for an appetizer. The scallops were clocked perfectly and the wine vinegar sauce was amazing. It was the best scallops I've ever had for sure! The steak was good but nothing special. We’ll definitely come back but I’ll stick with the seafood:)

Nice location, really awesome food! Everybody were full of compliments. The Chef de Rang has recognized that we are not from the States, like many other customers. So probably we have to learn here? Well, for some reason, after a 20% tip, the behavior was turning into not acceptable after we have received the final bill. But a funny free desert ;)

I don’t know where to begin…the hostess was so polite and seated us promptly. Our waiter was very responsive and checked on us regularly. The presentation of the food (as you can see) was spot on. We had to try the hamachi shots & they certainly didn’t disappoint. I was intrigued to try the scallops 2 Ways but my husband is a creature of habit soo he went with the cod. Both dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious! Dessert was just the right portion for my husband & I to share with the perfect level of sweetness and texture. This place is perfect for families and intimate date nights as well as small gatherings. Highly recommended!!!

We had a great dining experience. We started with a tasty fried oyster amuse bouche. Next was some more morsels of fried seafood. The lobster rocks were crunchy on the outside with tasty delicate lobster inside. The highlight for me was the tasting of steaks from Japan, the USA, and Australia. The were cooked properly and met our lofty expectations for wagyu. It was a little pricey but I’d be happy to come back soon.

It was our anniversary & they greeted us with the best Prosecco I have ever tasted. Free! Such detail to service. Our servers were wonderful! 1 server made us comfortable as we had never been to such an exquisite restaurant. She helped us with the menu and even let us know what another table was eating when we inquired. We will definitely go again

Graduation dinner party. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. We ordered practically everything they had, and while it was all excellent, the crown jewel was their tomahawk. Easily the best steak I’ve ever tasted. Hokkaido wagyu was a close second, and that’s saying something about how special the tomahawk was.

Was hosted here by my partners. Note that the corkage for wines are high, $50 for 2 bottles and then $100 on third bottles. We had the hamachi shots which was good. The truffle fries, mushrooms and octopus were great. Tried the surf and turf (scallops, octopus and Wagyu beef). For dessert the soufflé was just right. Also had good selection of wines with the dinner.

We always go to an Alexander's for our anniversaries and it never disappoints. The service is world class, the food is a culinary delight and the drinks are just amazing. Thank you for always making our anniversary special, we will see you next year! (We did their tasting menu.)

Superb service and delicious food. Can't wait to return. Especially nice was the private room we had, at no extra charge, for our party of nine. Complimentary cotton candy at the end of our meal was a nice touch.
