    Coach John and the coaching staff have worked together with me to tailor workouts and a meal plan that help me with my fitness goals. I’ve gotten stronger, healthier and more confident since I’ve joined this gym. The environment is friendly, welcoming and the other members help push you through the workouts.

    I’ve been a member of a number of gyms and 4th Quarter Gym is hands down is one of the best around. My first encounter with John, owner and head coach, I was skeptical because I come from CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. Bootcamp style training was not my deal. But after injury, I really needed to move my body and I entrusted John and Sheila with learning to move again, properly. The coaches are knowledgeable especially with certain movements I’m unable to do. There’s always a different variation to a movement which still targets the body part needing work. The community is amazing. The members are fun inside and outside of the gym. There is so much support in person and on social media. If you’re looking for a home gym, this is the place.

    I have been at this gym since 2019 and it has been one of the best investments of my life. The coaches are AMAZING! They are dedicated to your physical/mental health success. I do a combo of bootcamp and strength training classes, and let me say I have gained inches where they should be gained and have leaned out in other areas. The atmosphere is not like any other gym, we are a family here and that is the best part about it. When you have coaches like them, there is no other place you will want to go.

    Love this place!, been going almost a year and it has changed my life. It’s a gym with a good environment and awesome coaches, They are always helping keep you motivated and have some good laughs along the way. The people at the gym far friendly and no one is judging, everyone starts at some point. Everyone wants to see you progress and do better. It’s more of a little family.

    From day 1, everyone at this gym welcomes you with open arms. I’ve never had more fun working out with a group of people than I do here. All the members and coaches are there to make sure you are successful in achieving your goals. They make sure there’s accountability and that you are challenging yourself. I love the fit family I’ve made here.

    5 freaking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! I’ve been coming to 4thquarterfitness consistently for 7 or 8 years now. The coaches and members are like family. There are many reasons why I stay but the main one is because it feel like “home”. The coaches consistently check in on you. Even more during the pandemic. It’s the best gym in Long Beach.

    Where do I even start? Words can’t describe how awesome this gym is. I have been a member at this gym since 2018 and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I have achieved a lot on my fitness goals along with having the tools to continue to have a fit and healthy lifestyle. I am now definitely a lot more confident, healthy and stronger thanks to the coaches. Coach John is nothing less of motivating, knowledgeable, positive, caring, and inspiring. He along with his fellow coaching staff are not just trainers they take on a role of being life coaches as well. Pushing you to always be the best version of you physically and mentally, making sure you give 100% every day you step into the gym. I strongly suggest anyone who wants to train to come to 4th Quarter and give it a shot for themselves. Trust, this gym will help you achieve those weight loss/strength goals you may have. Whether there big or small.

    I am very grateful to have joined this gym. After two kids and health issues (Cancer Hx) I knew that I needed to get myself into better shape for my health and also to keep up with my kids. All the coaches are so helpful and really care about you. I don't feel intimidated and I am thankful that the coaches take their time and correct my form to prevent injury. Everyone is so nice and encouraging. I look forward to reaching my fitness goals for that hot girl summer!

    I joined 4th Quarter Fitness with the hope of improving my physical health, but the unexpected (and perhaps the more necessary) benefits that came with it is the vast improvement of my mental health. The coaches are knowledgeable, relatable, and care about the members as people first, clients second. The community is welcoming, fun, and everyone’s encouraging spirit helps to lessen any intimidating feelings that may be inherent when joining a gym. The programs are intentional and challenging, but wow do they make you feel accomplished. As someone who had a “big box” gym membership for years that never got used, coming here not only made fitness a non-negotiable and enjoyable part of my life, but the experience has empowered me to believe that I am more capable than I give myself credit for.     If you want a supportive group of AMAZING coaches and people. This is the place! At first I was nervous but everyone is so helpful! They help me modify my workouts if I need it. They especially push my out of my comfort, I did workout and weights I didn’t think I could but I did. It’s an amazing place to workout. If you’re looking for a new gym.     I’ve been working out at this gym for a few months now and I would highly recommend it. There are a couple of things that set them apart. First - the culture is excellent. It’s almost like one big family. Everyone knows your name and is supportive of your journey. Secondly - accountability - I get texts at the beginning of the week from Coach John confirming what days I’ll be working out and offering encouragement. If you’re looking for a different kind of gum and workout experience - give this place a shot!

    Prior to going to 4th Quarter Fit, I never really lifted weights or did any circuit training. I was a little worried and intimidated at starting at a gym and wasting time & money. Starting this gym changed my whole mindset. All the coaches are very welcoming and provided lots of encouragement; something I needed at starting a new thing. I like the fact that the sessions are held in small groups which made it semi-personal. Another great thing is that the program is progressive and everyone starts at different levels depending on experience and ability. I highly recommend this gym to reach/start your fitness goals!

    This is truly the best gym in Long Beach! Coaches John, Sheila, Sim, and Aileen are top notch. They provide the support you need to be a healthier version of yourself. I love the daily emails, regular check-ins, and encouragement at each workout. Everyone in the 4th Quarter community works hard and plays hard. If you hate the big box gym like me, I highly recommend that you set up a meeting with Coach John and join a 6 week challenge and join. You will only benefit and have no regrets.

    This is a pretty darn good gym. All the trainers are super nice and really take interest in you regardless of the fitness level you're at. They will make an effort to be personable with you and help you accomplish your fitness goals. All of your exercise regimen are written down for you to follow. You typically get a demonstration of the exercises from your coach first. Then they will watch you to make sure you're performing the correct movements. Sometimes even give you a little nudge to remind you to boost the intensity a little bit. I've been a long standing member and I've seen a-lot of changes with myself mentally and physically. This place is my safe haven and I look forward to coming in to crush my workouts daily. I've seen changes in my energy levels and my body is shaping up to how I want it to be. But I'm far from where I want to be and I know for certain that 4th Quarter Fitness will help me meet my goals. Member since: September 2014 - Present

    I have been a member since 2018, I came in as a 6 week challenger and the rest is history. I loved everything about this gym the atmosphere, the coaches, and even the playlist that they play when we’re working out. All the coaches are so great! They really care about each member. Making sure we are doing the exercises the correct way, pushing us when we think we can’t go any further. This gym truly has become my second family.

    I joined in 2018 with no previous training experience. I joined within the first year of being postpartum to ease into exercise and just finding myself again. The difference with this gym to other gyms is that it is small, more personal, and the coaches genuinely care about you and your progress. The members are friendly, supportive, and i never felt intimidated like being in other gyms or classes. Nobody (aside from the coaches) is paying attention to you, your ability, or what you look like. Everyone is in a competition with themselves at whatever level you start at—which is awesome. If you want to try it out, just ask the coaches what they offer whether it is a class, a 6-week challenge, or just going all in and signing up. You won’t regret it!

    I had a fantastic experience at the gym, thanks to the incredibly helpful and motivational coaches and the sense of team spirit they fostered. I started working out on February and by April, I had already lost 20 pounds, thanks to the advice I received on maintaining a consistent workout routine and healthy eating habits. The coaches were always there to guide me and help me push past my limits, and I am extremely greatful for their support. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to achieve their fitness goals and go above and beyond. The coaches truly care about their clients and are dedicated to help them succeed. With their expert guidance and encouragement, I was able to surpass my own expectations and achieve my challenges.     I have been a 4th quarter fitness and performance member for over 9 years. I love this place, the entire fitness team, the coaches and of course "John". The "4th quarter" experience is like no other, the program allows you to push yourself to the limits along with enjoying the camaraderie amongst your teammates. 4th quarter fitness offers a variety of workout programs that include weight loss, strength enhancement and even your own personal fitness program that includes a nutrition guideline.
