It was just as magical as I hoped it would be. My boyfriend bought me an interactive wand to do the spells, which made it even better. Just know that you should use your wand when the sun isn't directly overhead because it makes the sensors act up and not see you do the spell. If you look in the windows and see where the sensors are and the sun is bouncing back... wait and come back and they will work. Or block the sun with your map if you can. Wands should also not go on rides and need to be locked away. I hope these tips helped! Have fun.

Simply incredible. As a Harry Potter fan since the books came out, I really enjoyed my time in the Wizarding world. The wands were a nice touch and it was fun doing magic around the area. I visited on a Wednesday and the crowd were very small.

Only two rides in Harry Potter, but the one in Hogwarts was so fun and creative. We went on it 3 times. Butter beer was really good, honestly wish it was a little cheaper. Might have gotten a few on my trip but $9 was a lot. (Root beer and cream root beer) is what it tasted like. Really cool shops and shows. Got some fancy candy.

LOTS OF FUN. You can freely be a nerd here and no one cares. People wearing House robes and waving their wands around. You can take pictures in front of the Hogwarts express. Buy a wand, see a wand pick it's wizard. See a fun light show on the castle at night. The Rollercoaster really isn't that great, but the ride inside of Hogwarts is lots of fun. Butter beer, expensive and not that good, but you have to try it anyways if you're a Harry Potter fan. Ollivanders is a great experience but all the merchandise is crazy expensive, beware.

This place is amazing and makes all your Harry Potter dreams come true to life! You just can't take enough pictures to make sure you never forget just exactly how amazed you actually are when your there. My family enjoyed all the experiences immensely!!! We can't wait to go back. Oh but prepare to wait in line for at least an hour. Get the fast pass. We will next time!!

Go early and head here first. By far our favourite part of Universal. The wands, though spendy, do add a lot of interest for the kids who really enjoyed learning to cast spells and see the magic come to life throughout the area. The attention to detail was incredible. The trip to the restrooms alone was worth the visit with Moaning Murtle giving a whine while you go.

One of my favorite ride at Universal Studio. I not a big fan of Harry Potter Movie but I really do enjoy this ride. Not a 5 star because in a few times the ride had to be rebooted or stop and we ended up being in a weird position tilting down almost upside down.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios is an extraordinary destination that impeccably captures the essence of J.K. Rowling's beloved wizarding universe. From the moment you step through the archways into Hogsmeade, the attention to detail is absolutely magical. The cobblestone streets, snow-capped rooftops, and iconic landmarks like Hogwarts Castle create an immersive experience that transports visitors into the heart of the enchanting world of wizards. The rides are nothing short of spectacular, with 'Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey' offering a thrilling journey through the halls of Hogwarts. The excitement, combined with the cutting-edge technology, makes it an unforgettable adventure for fans and newcomers alike. The Flight of the Hippogriff and the interactive wand experiences further add to the magic. The shops, such as Ollivanders, Honeydukes, and Zonko's, are a delight to explore, offering a wide array of wizarding merchandise and treats. Indulging in a cup of Butterbeer is a must-do, and the Three Broomsticks provides a cozy spot to savor magical meals. One of the highlights is the impressive Hogwarts Castle, a visual masterpiece that becomes even more enchanting when illuminated at night. The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle show is a breathtaking display of lights, music, and projections that is not to be missed. The dedication of the staff to creating an authentic experience is commendable. From the costumed characters strolling through the streets to the helpful team members, everyone contributes to the immersive atmosphere. In summary, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is not just an amusement park area; it's a true celebration of magic and wonder. The meticulous craftsmanship, engaging attractions, and overall ambiance make it a must-visit for fans of the series and anyone seeking a truly enchanting theme park experience. Universal Studios has truly brought the magic to life, and I can't wait to return for another spellbinding adventure!

It was like being in the movie! At Christmas time I felt like I was walking through a Christmas village. Absolutely loved this and we spent most of our time here. My Harry Potter fan daughter was all over this place. She’s 12.

Great area of universal, such thought and imagination goes into these areas and you can really tell. It's definitely shows. Worth noting that flight of the hippogriff is a kiddycoaster. I'm glad the staff members let us know as we were going to be in the line for 50 mins. We went back later when the line was shorter and we were so glad that as an adult couple we hadn't waited any longer!

This was by far the best part of Universal. Going through Ollivander's, drinking a butterbeer, and checking out all of the HP merch was really fun. The line for the roller coaster wasn't too bad at about 30-40 minutes wait time. Using the interactive wands was a pretty ingenious experience to add to the park.

So amazing, it’s like a dream come true, everything is so alike to the movies! The butter beer was to die for and the wands are so cool! We got there right when it opened and there were only a few people, it’s the best time to take pictures. After a couple of hours the crowd was insane. If you don’t mind waiting in line (the Harry Potter lines are not as long) then there’s no need for the Express Pass, but I think that it’s a must. If you go to Universal, check out Harry Potter World. Definitely recommend :)

What an amazing experience! Our kids got interactive wands and had a great time casting spells and using their map that came with the wand. You can find some great food and ambiance here. Amazing rides as well…Flight of the Hippogriff and the Forbidden Journey were awesome!! The interactive wands also work at Universal Orlando so our kids are excited to use them again!

Once you past that gate you enter the world of magic as the area itself seems separated from reality as you walk the streets passing buildings inspire by the world of Harry Potter. To honey dukes store or a cold cup of butter beer to kiss your lips you are surrounded by fantasy. Then, the attraction itself ropes you along in an adventure of mystery as you race through HogWarts to escape the vile beast. Only to be tossed into the forest covered in spiders as ghouls watch your every move. For this is the world of Harry Potter!

Definitely the place to go if you're a Harry Potter fan, big or small. Universal did a good job have you feel like you are truly there. If you're not a fan of waiting in lines, this isn't the place for you. Lunch about 1:30 on a Saturday we waited over an hour in line just to order for example. Went here for a birthday trip and I definitely recommend. Just maybe on Wed afternoon if you hate crowds.

I am personally not a big fan of Harry Potter but the Ride is awesome. Got on it multiple times even with long wait times. The movement of the seats, the tech, the sound. Everything is on point. I recommend coming with your own wand cuz they're twice the price here but my son and nephew had a blast. Will def... Be coming back. Many places to take pics and make memories.

I had chills all over my body, I love harry potter movies, so it was a dream come true. The entrance to the wizarding World of Harry Potter is included with the regular universal studios ticket. Harry Potter roller coaster is incredible ! Specially if you haven’t ride one, it is super quick and not to extreme. You won’t regret it I promise ☺️

Absolutely magical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had the BEST time at the Wizarding world of Harry Potter. Delightful restaurants, mind boggling rides and every character does an award winning depiction of their part/role. Loved watching the short shows and random appearance of a character around every corner. The special effect interactive wands made the park that much more fun. Sooo many awe moments made. We left grinning from ear to ear with wands and butterbeer in tow. Well worth the Universal studios ticket price alone.

Amazing world! The rides are fun and interactive especially the one in the castle. The line is super fun to walk through and all the special rooms. The butter beer comes either frozen or cold and with butterscotch cream. They are both delicious!

As we arrived once the parked opened, we first went to enjoy the wizarding world atmosphere. Short to little lines for butter beer which we had to snag before the long lines started to form. Stores were overcrowded so one bad to be try to step on anyone's toes. The ride flight of the hippogriff had a 40 minute wait time and the ride was no longer than 2 minutes which was very disappointing. Slight rush and strong movements but i was hoping for it to last a little longer. However, the forbidden journey had a much longer wait time but was worth it. Being inside the castle was fascinating. The ride felt worth the wait.

It’s like stepping into the movie and you’re attending Hogwarts! The staff is in character and make you believe you belong here as a witch or wizard. The castle is stunning, the candy shop is so fun, and the shops are amazing to visit! Get a wand to make things move in the windows, ride the rides, even get sorted into your proper house! The death eaters show at the end of the day is stunning! And you might just spot Dumbledore wandering around!

By far the best part of Universal Studios. Everyone working here seems to enjoy it and are super friendly and in character the whole time. I love the fact that we can dress up and experience the magic of Hogwarts Wizard School.

No words will be enough to describe this spectacular set of Harry Potter in Universe Studios Hollywood. The ride is very thrilling and the building has large screens bringing the movie scenes to life through graphics and laser projectors. Definitely worth visiting though the queue is long.

This was a lot of fun. It wasn't the best amusement park...or should I say the most entertaining, but the Harry Potter part of it was. Sea World was a lot of fun and I loved learning about all the good they do to Help animals each year. I wish Wally the Walrus was still there, I was very disappointed to learn he was gone.

I visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood last weekend and it was a magical experience. The park is divided into two areas: Hogsmeade and Hogwarts Castle. Hogsmeade is a charming village with shops, restaurants, and attractions inspired by the Harry Potter books and movies. You can buy a wand at Ollivanders, sip a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks, or ride a hippogriff at the Flight of the Hippogriff. Hogwarts Castle is the centerpiece of the park, where you can explore the iconic locations such as the Great Hall, Dumbledore's office, and the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. The highlight of the castle is the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, which takes you on a thrilling adventure with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The ride uses state-of-the-art technology to create a realistic and immersive experience. You can also watch a spectacular show of lights and music at the castle every night. The park is full of details and surprises that make you feel like you are part of the wizarding world. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they dress and act like the characters from the books and movies. You can also interact with some of the characters, such as the conductor of the Hogwarts Express, the shrunken head on the Knight Bus, or the goblin at Gringotts Bank. The park also offers various events and activities throughout the year, such as the Dark Arts Festival, the Celebration of Harry Potter, and the Christmas at Hogwarts. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood is a must-visit for any fan of the Harry Potter franchise. It is a place where you can relive your favorite moments, discover new secrets, and create unforgettable memories. It is a place where magic comes to life.

Literally the best attraction in the whole studio. Quality is really good and the ride itself is pretty long and a good combination of virtual and real decoration. Try to get there in the morning when the waits are not that long (and everyone is stuck at the Mario lol)

Recommend paying for closer parking once you get there but paying for the express ticket ahead of time is not needed if you get there around 4 pm. Getting there at 4 pm allows you to see Hogsmeade both during the day and lit up at night. Xmas decorations added an extra special charm. Head to Hogsmeade and explore all the shops before the 6 pm light show on the castle itself. Once you see the light show, you'll automatically be funneled out to the exit and will have to go through the entire park one way to work yourself back in. We skipped all the rides and enjoyed a cobblestone stroll, wand shopping at Olivander's and getting snacks and merch.

If anyone ever goes here and doesn't love it.. don't trust them! The best. Small but mighty. Must watch light show. The journey ride is the BEST. Ride is better than FL. Don't buy the butter beer unless you like butterscotch.

I've visited a number of times, but never had as much fun as I did this time! The employees were all so kind and very interactive, way more than I've ever seen before. It's amazing how detailed it all is, it really feels like you're walking through Harry Potter! Honeydukes was so much fun, we bought some fun treats, and they have the CUTEST cupcakes!! The rides here are the best in all of Universal as well!

If you are a fan of Harry Potter then this is the place you need to visit & explore. Explore the castle through castle walk. Learn how magic works😊💥 Meet & experience what everyone in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have experienced. Enjoy the thrill of the rides. Buy your own wand & other magical accessories. Become a part of Hogwarts! It's going to be an experience of your lifetime. This unique place has its own spot in the Universal Studio Hollywood. Has wheel chair access and clean restrooms. Has something for everyone of the family.

The aesthetics of the place is really great. From the castle to the talking portraits it's really fantastic. There is a long wait time so I recommend getting this ride over with first. The ride itself goes back and forth for 3d elements and a regular roller coaster. Probably the most unique ride in the whole theme part. I recommend the butter beer in town.

The food was good at The Three Broom Sticks. We had Shepards Pie and a Chicken Bake Plate. No reservations are needed. There is plenty of seating for small and large groups. We were told that starting at 6:00 they have a lighting show at the Hogwarts Castle and then it's every 30 minutes until closing.

  • 5/5 Harrison M. 6 months ago on Google
The butter beer was amazing, and the flight simulator ride was awesome. The only thing I regret buying was the wands, because they really aren't worth it and don't do anything outside of the park. If you wonder how it works just look it up it's basically just a piece of plastic that reflects at a camera. Overall it's still five stars because the atmosphere and rides made the whole thing worth the cost, just don't buy a wand.

What I can say of this attraction in California universal studios? This is the most amazing place in the magic world!! But just watcha everything is very expensive as is suppose to be for an Californian attraction! Be ware to bring enough money and go early to enjoy this place!!

The Harry Potter world is just as magical as you’d imagine. We went at Christmas time & they have a holiday light show that they play against the castle every half hour or so. It’s timed with music from the movie which makes it extra cool! We got a frozen butter beer at one of the stands which tasted like a cream soda/butterscotch flavor. Very fun!

Being a long time Harry Potter fan, it was exhilarating to visit the Wizarding World. Lots to see, the place is small but well built and can make any HP fan happy. You can buy butterbear, souvenirs, wands and candies too. I didn't go on the rides which i truly missed.

No Harry Potter fan will ever want to miss this place when visiting LA! It felt like living inside the movie. It was magical and worth every moment. I wasn’t kidding when I say I took a thousand pictures here. The place was fantastic so make sure to wear your best dress and bring a lot of money because there’s so much to buy!!!

Rides are amazing! We loved them. The town is so realistic right down to the roads. Shops are just like the movies and staff is so knowledgeable I felt like I was there myself. They even sold butter beer😃 strongly recommend visiting. You won't be disappointed. I've got to say it again "we loved it!"
